A really good Love Inspired Book.. Fannie’s heart was broken. David had just told her he wanted to court her, but the next day he had disappeared. Two years later he walks into her restaurant but seems to not recognize Fannie. Fannie is so confused. Did she meant so little to David that he didn’t even know who she was ? Will David become more than just a friend to her ?
Fannie Miller's love, David Troyer, vanished right after he asked to court her. Now, two years later, he's back - but he doesn't remember her? What the heck?
Due to a medical emergency, David has amnesia. He doesn't remember a thing. He's drawn to Fannie, though. Fannie, however, is determined to stay away from heartbreak again.
The book was really good, but I'm rating it pretty low just because it wasn't really for me. Perhaps I'm just more used to a faster pace and a more intense plot, but this book seemed far too slow and simple for my taste. That being said, I have no real complaints as far as the writing, the romance, the story, any of it. It was all fantastic. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a slow and sweet love story, and a lovely peek into the lives of the Amish. Because it was great, though not really for me, I'm keeping this review incredibly short and to-the-point, and ending it here.
Fannie Miller is completely shocked when she comes face to face with David Troyer, the one that broke her heart a few years earlier. However, she is even more shocked when she realizes that David has no clue as to who she is. Discovering David's story leaves Fannie with a huge mix of emotions. As David and Fannie work together, the result is a sweet and touching story of two special people getting a second chance at love.
