This book was all over the place. Nothing made sense, no plot, supper insta lovey, no authenticity, horrible push and pull for no reason, flat side characters, annoying kid, and no chemistry between the two main characters.

Wow! Definitely hot under the covers action! I'm not normally a fan of age gap romances. Many are too much of a daddy kink/issues and that's a turn off. I'm very glad this is not one of those books. While there is an age gap and a best friend situation, it's written tastefully. And talk about connection! Those two definitely have connection and steam. The characters take a while to figure out the logistics of the relationship, with many up and downs but their best friends are always by their side. Hopefully we'll get more to read about the friends as well. This book was a fantastic read!

This book took me by surprise in a good way! Many times, books along these story lines tend to be a little crude or obnoxious. This book was neither! I found myself really enjoying how the romance played out. It was refreshing to have a sweet, but hot, story. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author!.

Could have been 5 Star

I love the older man/younger woman trope, and in that respect, this book did not disappoint with Logan, The Art Museum Director at 37 and Meghan, the 23 year old young woman who has applied for curator job at his museum. The two have a one night stand in a bar bathroom when he is in Hannibal to view the home he inherited from his aunt, while she is out with her cousin celebrating the night before she is to leave for St. Louis for her new job. Imagine his surprise when he visits his old school friend, Sean with his little girl Charlotte and discovers pictures of his friend’s daughter is none other than the young woman he had the one night stand with. Logan decides he needs to keep their involvement to that one night and vows to maintain a professional relationship with Meghan. When a business trip Logan arranges for Meghan to accompany him on leads to the two experiencing more sexual encounters, Logan cannot keep his mind off the beautiful young,talented artist. Logan knows he must maintain his distance from Charlotte in order to respect his friendship with Sean and manages to infuriate Megan.I loved the characters and the storyline as the two work through their issues to their HEA. There were editing error, but nothing too over the top, however I was disappointed with the last chapter and the epilogue that were too rushed. The ending was so abrupt that I reread the final page several times in an effort to verify I hadn’t missed something. To my disappointment, I hadn’t missed or confused anything, hence the 4 star review.

This is a sweet, heartwarming, compassionate, tender story. The author gives you a well written story that you can immediately get involved in. The two main characters- Logan and Meghan are interesting and immediately taken with each other. an easy flowing storyline. The characters will work their way into your heart. They are funny, sexy, passionate and sizzling hot! Megan is a young artist who has gotten a job as a art curator for a museum. Her first love will always be painting. Logan is a museum owner and is always looking for new artists to feature. They run into each other at a farmer’s market when he buys one of her paintings and then later at the bar. They connect for one night in an intimate and lusty passion. Will they see each other again? Will they look each other up? Maybe their one night is all they will have? The story also contains a sweetheart little girl named Charlotte who is so lovable and huggable. These two were made for each other, but there are some hiccups along the way. It is a sweet, loving, heart thumbing, passionate love story. So good!.

Logan and Meghan meet by chance after hours and instantly like each other. After a hot and heated private session together, they go their separate ways, only for Logan to find out later that Meghan is the daughter of his best friend from college. He is racked with guilt and shame over the incident, but can't keep himself away from her no how he tries. He is drawn to her more each day and can't seem to help himself. Then Meghan's dad catches them together and blows things up. Logan has to make it right, because he doesn't want to let Meghan go.
Can two hearts that are so different in age really be good for each other? Can they work through the breach in trust that was held by Meghan's father towards them? If they do, will it be forever?

This was a really good read, written from both his and her perspective. As usual Emma has shown not just the female side to romance, but also a strong male character that shows his feelings.

Meghan meets Logan and his daughter at the farmer's market when they buy one of her paintings. Then when she and a friend is out at a bar, they run into them again. Sparks fly between them and soon they are hooking up in the bathroom. Logan is taking his daughter to visit his friend and when they arrive, he gets a shock when he sees a picture of his friend's daughter grown up. She is the woman he was with at the bar, and she is also going to be working for him at his museum. Meghan is stunned when she finds out that her new boss and the man, she was with at the bar is her dad's friend. She tries to be professional but its not long before things heat up between them again. Will this turn into something more between them? What will happen if her dad finds out?

This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Logan owns an art museum in St. Louis. He loves art and he loves finding new artists who are phenomenal in their craft. He then shows their work at his museum and in most cases actually starts their careers. Logan is a great businessman and a wonderful single father to a precious 4-year-old daughter, Charlotte. While visiting a small town on family business he has a one-night stand with a HOT firecracker. He wants more but his sexy lady is gone in the morning.
Meghan Marie has a new job. She is an artist and will be a curator at The New Art Museum in St. Louis; the same Museum owned by Logan her one-night stand and her Dads best friend??? Could life get any crazier? To deflect his interest in Meghan, Logan turns into a pri#k but keeping his hands off her is impossible. This is a fun read full of great characters and a wonderful happy ending. I received a free advance copy of this story from Booksprout and am happy to share my feeling about it. Linda

Logan and Meghan meet at the farmer's market where she had her paintings displayed but it wasn't a pleasant experience. They meet again that night while they were out, and a connection was made between them. Megan gave him her middle name because she didn't know him well and when he goes to his friend's home, he realize just who Marie is. Logan is enthralled with the woman and can't believe that is Marie was the little girl of his friend that is all grown up and will be working for him. He is so far into his Marie but as a good friend he tries to keep things professional, but a booking mistake will have him and Meghan in the same room for a business trip that will change everything. Will he be able to keep his friendship with her father and explore his love for Meghan as well? This story drew me in and had me in their corner to get their chance for a happily ever after. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

✔ I liked the ease between the two.
✔ Logan is a full on mills and boon type hero- Tall, Dark and Handsome.
✔ I liked the side characters too, especially "the put anyone at ease"- Chris.
✔ This book has bonds, heartbreak , love and enough steamy spice.

🤔What could have been better -

✔ Uh, I did not understand how her father melts so fast. There should have been a little more drama surrounding that. Just a pinch more.

This story features forced proximity, instant attraction, an age gap, and grumpy/ sunshine personalities. Logan meets Meghan and they are instantly drawn to each other. This was before Logan knew that, not only is Meghan his new employee, but she is also his best friend's daughter who is much younger than him. He is very controlling and only wants to take care of her and keep her safe. Although Logan fights his feelings for Meghan, he realizes it is an uphill battle and gives in. The two of them have trouble keeping their hands off each other. Can they convince Meghan's dad to accept their relationship? There are some hot and sexy scenes in the book, along with a good dose of romance. I enjoyed the MC's as well as the supporting cast of characters. The book was easy to read and hard to put down. It was my first book by Emma Blake, and I would definitely like to read more by this author.

Older, single dad and friends daughter...uh-oh! This was a lot of tropes rolled into one, forbidden, age gap, single parent, etc. This was an over all enjoyable read. I almost knocked off a star for how wishy-washy the male lead Logan was however, I couldn't put the book down and I loved the chemistry so 5 stars!! Meghan the female lead was mature for her age in my opinion, Logan seemed to be the one needing to grow up. They did end up figuring things out and you get your HEA. The love scenes were steamy as was the tension between the characters. This was another good read from Emma Blake for me and I won't hesitate to get another!!.

When Logan and Meghan first lay eyes on each other the attraction is instant.They have a one night stand.Logan When Logan finds out Meghan is his best friends daughter he is shocked and feels guilty.
When Meghan finds out who he is she is also shocked and he turns out to be her new boss too.
They cannot resist each other and Meghan falls for his adorable daughter too.Really enjoyed this forbidden romance,loved the main and supporting characters and of course it has a happily ever after.
Cannot wait for Emma's next book.

4.6⭐️ Feeling hot, hot, hot!

Wow! The chemistry between Meghan & Logan was 🔥🔥🔥🔥! I loved that the had instant attraction, fought it because they thought it was the right thing to do, but ended up falling in love in spite of the obstacles. They had the same interests and got along really well … when they weren’t trying to deny how they felt about each other. I’m always a sucker for a HEA & I got one. I loved the respectful & friendly relationship between Logan & Lacey … & Nate & Meghan. Not all co-parenting is negative & it was nice to see that portrayed. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes steamy, age-gap romance.

If you are looking for a very sweet feel good book this is the one for you!
This story is a great example of how blended families should live in harmony!
All the characters were very likeable.
Logan is handsome, rich, a community hero, knows what he wants, he is loyal and has a daughter.
Meghan is a young, single, beautiful artist from a working class family.
Together they had an instant connection, amazing chemistry, strong values, great team work, amazing relationships with everyone around them.
There is just one problem, daddy.
I appreciated the epilogue, wonderful update!.

There is a lot to like about this book. The characters are great and very easy to like. Chemistry is good even if the plot was a little iffy. Their first meeting is great but their tryst was a little crazy and didn't fit in with their characters. I find it hard to believe that Logan would hire a curator and not know her name, that she was his best friend's daughter. Who interviews without meeting face to face.

Add in the completely over the top reaction from her dad and this was a struggle. Good parts but not everything added up.

I really enjoyed this read about Logan and Meghan. They meet by chance and have an instant attraction. They have a night then go their separate ways. Afterwards, Logan finds out that Meghan is the daughter of his best friend from college. He can’t stop thinking about her but guilt is eating him. He’s drawn to her more each day. When Meghan's dad catches them together he has a complete meltdown. They have a large river to cross but if they can, they’ll both be happy because they seem to be made for each other.

Yes, this is an age-gap, dad's best friend romance. But there is so much more here than that! First of all, neither of the main characters has an issue with the age-gap. There are several other reasons why these characters question their relationship and if they belong together. There is also a cute little girl who is part of the equation and is given due consideration. There is also a lot of sizzle between the two main characters, starting with their first night together. It's fun to watch them try to negotiate the obstacles when they realize that maybe there could be more than just that one night!

They find out the next day that Logan is friends with Meghan’s dad and he also her new boss. They try to keep it professional to no avail. Meghan’s dad eventually catches them and it’s a disaster. Logan confessed to loving Meghan and her dad gives his blessings not that it matter. This was a great age gap love story.

After realizing he made a huge error, Logan tries to keep his distance from Meghan because he does not realize Meghan is related to his best friend.
This book was a entertaining and steamy read. It was fun experiencing Logan trying his hardest to stay professional with Meghan, but that does not go very well for him. This book is a really great read with dual point of view, which is my favorite style of book.

The author has done a brilliant job with Logan & Meghan's story. The guy from her bar bathroom hookup turns out to be her dad's best friend & her new boss. FML. We try to remain professional but lines keep getting crossed. What happens when Meghan's dad finds out? Will Logan man up & profess his true feelings or will he allow guilt to keep him silent & Meghan just slips away.
Definitely worth 5 star.

This story was one of Emma Blake's best. It was a totally charming age-gap romance. Logan was an older man who was Meghan's father's best friend. They met by chance and had a one night fling, then she turns up as his new employee. They try to deny how they feel but can't. When her father finds out he is not happy. Will he come around and accept them or will it tear them apart? Do they get their HEA? I highly recommend this book to all true romantics out there.

The chemistry in this book started when they first met and it was smoking 🔥 hot. Little did they know, they had something in common, her father. He was like cold water on a fire to hard to contain.
