Mr. Zanzibar, the dark master of illusion, charms the people of Hamland with his words, dazzles them with his tricks, and wins their trust and their love--until the children begin to vanish, one-by-one
Seriously, this book is a complete waste of time. While the title references the Pied Piper mythology, the book itself is a third rate thriller that tries to appear to be a supernatural horror story. It isn't. The book falls flat, the ending is unsatisfactory and resolves virtually nothing. This isn't even worth picking up off the street.
The story itself starts out with potential a "small town mystery" sort of tale. By the end? I just couldn't find myself caring. The majority of the characters in the story are totally unlikeable, the "Hero" is useless and the "Villain"?
Totally ridiculous.
Do the world a favor, compost this book so that someday something may grow out of this drivel.
