Se trata de un libro contemporáneo, publicado en 2008, teórico y práctico útil para cualquiera que desee profesionalizar su conocimiento en el área de Análisis de Datos como Análisis de Gasto y estrategia. Se abordan los conceptos fundamentales que brindaran apoyo a cualquier persona que desee conocer el mundo de Procurement, Sourcing, o Supply Chain, además se comparte varios tips de posibles escenarios sobre el futuro del Spend Analysis, y dado que este libro fue publicado hace poco más de 10 años y los avances rápidos de la industria e integraciones tecnologicas, muchos de las proyecciones cobran realidad en nuestros tiempos así, como el uso sostenido de bases de datos, comparaciones a tiempo real, y clasificaciones inteligentes y proyecciones sobre la inversión como también las mejores prácticas de organizaciones en un mundo globalizado.
