A quick read from the DC Superheroes book series.

Before a planet called Krypton explodes, a scientist there sends his son out into outer space. The rocket lands on a Kansas farm and the baby inside is taken in by a farmer and his wife.

It was a fun one but due to me already knowing the Superman origin story I don't think it had quite as much to offer.

It's a great addition to a Superman fan and there are lots more stories in this series I'd like to try.

This is a great graphic novel. The book has great pictures and an awesome ending. Michael Dahl did a fantastic job by giving the charters a personality. Like Zod, the new villain, has a harsh mind toward superman and the humans of the earth. The ending is a twist. i would recommend for boys and girls who like to read action. I give this book four stars.

Part of the new DC Super Heroes series by Stone Arch Books (Capstone). While they look like comics, they are actually lower level chapter books. Not particularly thought-provoking, but definitely fun. I can see kids really liking these - I'm adding them to my collection for sure.

I like it because Superman is awesome and he's my favorite superhero. I also like the book because it tells about his childhood and how he became Superman.

Read this to my son as he is getting into chapter books. He was super excited to read it, but it didn't hold his attention. But, he's 5, not much does ;)

I liked the part when Superman had two owners when he was a baby.
