I haven't read many wildlife using pseudo-realism. I'm torn between giving four or five stars.

Story
As obvious as the title is it's about a little raccoon full of curiosity. It's pretty simple and direct but with that, it is has charm.
That's pretty much the goal for this book. No heavy drama, or absurd plot twists just a summer perspective of a little raccoon. It's a cool, easy read written full of a child's curiosity mentality. It's harmless, well written, and what drama and danger is written is done calmly. Just enough to give a mild oh-no gasp. I would have preferred if Little Sister had more to say through the book. Giving her more of a presence. It has a touching ending even if it a bit open ended.
Illustrations
The illustrations are amazing. They are more realistic fitting to the theme of the story. Not much to say I love it.
