HOLY CRAP!! Akito's sister is a whack-job. Oh my god, I thought she was one step away from holding Yoh hostage in her basement. So obsessive! She continually kept trying to break Yoh and Haruna up and the antics got more and more ridiculous. I can't believe she stole his phone and sent texts to Haruna pretending to be Yoh. The worst was when she changed Haruna's cell number to her own. I was honestly really freaking creeped out. And then she kept answering when Yoh called and pretending to be Haruna. What I'm wondering is how Yoh thought that Jouhou sister was Haruna. The chick talks weird and they must have different voice types. Hopefully this chick won't show up again. She's a pyscho and plus her eyebrows scare me. I understand not everyone is born with perfect eyebrows, but for god sakes pick up some tweezers. It's not like it takes so much effort!

I'm super excited now to see what happens with Yoh and Haruna's relationship. The whole overnight trip should be interesting. It made me laugh that Haruna had no idea what she was implying sexy time haha when she asked Yoh. Poor Haruna, she's so naive. It's either gonna be really awkward or really hilarious to read. I don't know how they're going to do sharing a bed, when Haruna freaks out over a kiss.

Still no box-boy. I think I'm just going to have to give up hope soon :(

Lo primeros 3 capítulos fueron muuuy raros, porque ambos protagonistas se comportaron de formas que nunca antes se habían comportado, y tuvieron actitudes que medio van en contra de como fueron los 10 volúmenes anteriores.

Having said that, estoy muy emocionada por los siguientes capítulos ahr.

WOW! I honestly came into this volume thinking I would not enjoy this, but I LOVED it! It gave some very serious feels with Haruna and Yoh and pretty sure my heart broke for both of them because of everything that was going on. It was so upsetting to see Haruna so upset and honestly don’t think she was in the wrong. Granted, I don’t think Yoh was either exactly, but I wish he would have put two-in-two together of what “the sister” was doing.

And oh my goodness, that girl! She was horrible! I absolutely could not stand what she was doing in trying to split this amazing couple apart! Like no no and NO! But it did lead to a really beautiful and heart-moving moment between Haruna and Yoh that was just everything. I didn’t have any doubts about this couple, but I was pretty nervous that the misunderstanding wasn’t going to get “fixed” or “cleaned up” quickly.

I did have to laugh with the ending chapter because oh Haruna…and poor Yoh! LOL!

I am writing about the overall series. I finsihed reading the entire series on January 7, 2011.

The overal series was pretty great. I gave it a 4 star rating. Let's talk about some things now.

I. Love. Yoh. I just love him. He is so adorable! Andd I hate that I have to say that. But I can't help myself, he is SO ADORABLE! ANd cool, and awesome, and hot(lol) and all those other wors to descibe him. I love his personality and I love how he is easily embarrassed. He is just so ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!! I want him. And for all of you who think this is creepy(which it kinda is), I tend to fall for awesome fictional male characters. I LOVE YOH. And you would too if you ever read the manga.

Haruna. In the beginning of the manga I thought she was realy, really stupid. REALLY STUPID. And then later on I thought she was realy, really annoying and too much of a perfectionist. In the end, I ended up liking her. Maybe not in the ending because I didn't know my feelings for her in the end. She kinda made me have this weird angry-nice-weird-awkward vibe towards her. Her character is really thought out though. But overall, she's all right.

In the beginning of the book, I thought the whole concept was really kinda dumb. I mean, a love coach. That's just kinda ridiculous and desperate, which Haruna was, but pathetic. Though that whole concept fades later n, it was just really ridiculous. Ri-dic-u-lous. Ridiculous.

THere are many parts that made me laugh or gag when I was reading this manga. Let's look back in my brain and take a moment to laugh at them. HAHAHAHHA! LOL! LAWLS! OMG! OMG! HUH... FUNNY! AHHHAHAHHA LMAO!AHHAHAHH!hhohohohohohoho! omg! HILARIOUS.... Sigh... Huh... Funny.

Overall, the series was really great and funny and entertaining and sweet and sad and I recommend it to everyone I know and don't know. Though, the guys out there might now like it.

Haruna gets jealous over some attention Yoh pays to an unattractive girl at his prep class. Unfortunately, that girl develops a crush on Yoh and schemes to break up Haruna and Yoh. After that near-disaster, Haruna wants to plan something special for Yoh's birthday and decides upon an overnight trip, not understanding what that implies.

Another excellent volume in such an adorable series. A rating.

The first three chapters were kind of interesting because it's so rare to see a character that's genuinely so awful and manipulative in a random shoujo romance arc like this, but also annoying because Yoh and Haruna have jumped through obstacles in their relationship a million times before and proved their undying love for each other already; I am tired. Can we move on? 2 stars

But then the fourth chapter comes in and moves on from that arc altogether, bringing in actually development to the relationship??? Insanity. Love blushy Yoh, hope they talk about how sex shouldn't be an expectation for enduring love and stuff but I also hope they become more intimate. They have been dating for nearly a year.

girllllll, this volume made me so fucking mad. miyabi is so messed in the head. all the drama surrounding her was so unnecessary and hence the low rating. ALSO IS YOH A FUCKING IDIOT?????? HE COULD'VE FIGURED IT OUT IN 2 MINUTES HAD HE ASKED THE RIGHT QUESTIONS???? 😭 "oh u were supposed to meet ur gf here at 8 so sad she didnt show" "how did you know?" "i just guessed" HOW DOES ONE BUY THAT EXCUSE???? 😭 anyway, i need at least one scene where haruna is mad and yoh has to grovel but i'm giving up hope.

The misunderstandings in this volume make me want to scream lol but we’ve moved past it and immediately into another tricky situation that is born out of Haruna’s cluelessness. And I’m so close to the end of the series! This was a very fun hyperfixation for a week and I’ll always enjoy Yoh and Haruna’s story.

was slightly disappointed from here on out. when haruna realizes what it means to spend the night with her boyfriend, she decides "so what" and marches on ahead. sort of an odd decision since she can literally count on one hand how many times she has not only kissed yoh, but has been kissed altogether. i would think that she would be a little more apprehensive about making that leap. but what really gets me is that when it doesn't happen, they imply that they will sneak away at some point to have "alone time," but it never happens. i hate to say it, but i was looking forward to that development in the story. you know, i think i'm going to write a story with it stating the morning after "alone time," and go from there. i think all of this unrealistic build up can just be bypassed by doing so. you don't have to see anything, that would be awkward, but it could be implied. ambiguity is better for these matters in literature anyway.

Haruna becomes uneasy when Yoh begins spending more and more time with an unattractive, but very persistent, prep school classmate of his... with good reason! It's obvious that this girl has the intention of breaking Haruna and Yoh up so that she can have him all for herself! She causes many fights and awkward situations between the two and even causes them to "break up"! Will Haruna and Yoh's bond be enough to get through this one? Or was this to be a short-lived love preordained from the very day the two met?


Miyabi was really irritating, and I /know/ I would have hated her in real life if I was /any/ of the six main characters, but... I just can't hate her in the book. I don't really want her to play much a role again in the series, but, I just can't hate her. She is just so... pitiful. Also, I really like Akito, her brother!! ;3 I would be upset, but I wouldn't mind that much if him and Haruna ended up together instead one day when/if it doesn't work out with Yoh.

The first half of this manga wraps up the storyline with homely girl who gets a crush on You. I felt pretty sympathetic to her at first, but then she does some pretty nasty things, and that made this storyline not my favorite. Jealous!Haruna is not my favorite either, so that bit was kind of a flop for me, although I did read it pretty quickly. Watching a train-wreck syndrome, I think.

The second half introduces our new story. With You's birthday fast approaching, Haruna comes up with the brilliant idea that they should take an overnight trip to celebrate. You know, so they can see places that they wouldn't be able to on a day trip, since they've already been everywhere nearby. Watching everyone's jaws drop when she bursts out with this idea was one of the funniest things in this manga in quite a while, and I laughed my way through the last part of the volume as a result. Looking forward to seeing the conclusion to this one!

I read this a loooong time ago.

(Like I said in a bunch of my other reviews . . . I hate when I procrastinate on reviews for the longest time.
BECAUSE THEN I TOTALLY FORGET WHAT THE BOOK WAS ABOUT AND I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO WRITE!)


But what I remember is . . .

THIS GIRL WAS TEXTING HARUNA PRETENDING TO BE YOH, and TEXTING YOH PRETENDING TO BE HARUNA.
JEEEEEEEEEEEEZ that made me so angry.
I mean, not angry enough to like . . . launch the book across the room or out the window or into the next dimension. But still.


Like I said in my review for HIGH SCHOOL DEBUT Volume 2, I absolutely loathe when someone tries to interfere in a loving relationship between two people.
If they're happy, LEAVE. THEM. ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!!


But then again, if there was no conflict, this wouldn't be as awesome of a story.

I did not like the antagonist and the way Yoh believes everything she says, artificially if you ask me, to extend the gimmick. I find her final portrayal next to her sainted brother massively offensive. Equally offensive is the fat-shaming Haruna goes through, especially as it's used to comedic effect - and of course one round of heavy duty exercising has it all melt off.

This storyline really shows that the manga should have stopped before then. There were good chapters to come but the fact that Kawahara-sensei was not stopped from doing this storyline really makes it clear they were grasping at straws to me.

La hermana de Akito fue muy horrible... Pero realista, la chica se obsesiono totalmente con nuestro querido Yoh ¡no perra, no me interesa que seas extremadamente fea, sino que también eres retorcida! Hizo de todo por separarlos, pero creo que al final... Terminó como todos esperábamos, me gustó mucho porque hacia en falta un poquito de drama, jajaja Haruna como siempre, una chica genial, esta vez tuvo un cambio en su personalidad, pero fue para bien ¡vamos, es Yoh!

Now another conflict arrives. An out of town trip together overnight. While Haruna originally didn't know what it meant I think she gets the jist now. I doubt they will do anything though. I don't think the two of them are rready for it. They're to awkward around each other.

Still an adorable series. Majorly disliking the girl who tries to come between Yoh and Haruna. She's ugly not for her apperance but for her personality. NO ONE comes between one of the most adorable couples in manga.
