In 1939 Daniel McCormick, a test pilot, volunteers to be frozen for one year, but is accidentally revived more than fifty years later, and now, rapidly aging, must solve the mystery of what happened to the project
Such a crazy, ridiculous story. So out there, so many holes, not enough tension, especially given the emotional start. Bu I will say that it is a decently written novelization. Sadly, this does not save the story.

I remember watching this movie when I was little. I read this book more out of curiosity than anything. This book was ok. I liked the story line. I thought it was definitely good and believable. I also didn't mind the characters or the pace of the story itself. However, I'm not a big fan of the ending. In fact, I think the ending is flat out awful. It's too abrupt and doesn't tie the rest of the story together like its supposed to.
Up until he is rejoined with Helen at the end, the main character, Daniel, is pretty much dying at an extremely fast rate. However, once he finally gets back to Helen, the story abruptly ends. The closing lines, "...they held each other close, relieved and enthralled that they were together again after a lifetime-and with a lifetime ahead of them," completely flips one of the biggest problems (i.e. his fast rate of dying) of the story on its head. Both Daniel and Helen are in their mid 70s-early 80s; but yet they have "a lifetime ahead of them?" It just didn't add up to me at all.
