50 Reasons #3

Good Thing Bad Thing

Rate this book
On holiday with new boyfriend Tom, Mark - the hero from the best-selling novels, 50 Reasons to Say Goodbye and Sottopassaggio - heads off to rural Italy for a spot of camping.

When the ruggedly seductive Dante invites them onto his farmland the lovers think they have struck lucky, but there is more to Dante than meets the eye - much more. Tom, all innocence, appears blind to Dante's dark side as their holiday starts to spin slowly but very surely out of control - and it is Mark, alone, who can maybe save the day...

Funny, sexy and clever, this is a story about understanding and forgiveness, and an investigation of the fact that life is rarely quite as bad - or as good - as it seems.

This book is written in a simple way making it very easy to understand. I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy reading it as it is the 3rd book in a series of 5 and I hadn't read any of the other books, however it read well on it's own and I didn't feel there were parts that I didn't understand or couldn't relate to which was good.

The book is explores the relationship between a gay couple and the ramifications on their relationship of an incident that took place during a holiday taken in Italy.

The third book in the series. Mark and Tom have got together and go on holiday together to rural Italy. When the farmer Dante lets them stay on his land, it's only supposed to be for one night but Tom becomes besotted with Dante's philosophy and way of life. Mark, on the other hand, thinks there's something off. Is it jealousy or are they in danger?

I have enjoyed every book I have read by Nick, this one less so, I found the parts in Italy a little annoying and dragged on. I’ve bought the whole series so will stick with it.

I loved the first two books. A lot of Mark's life I can identify with and there's a lot I don't have but would like. This one gets off to quite a scary start. Mark on holiday in Italy with Tom. A crazy farmer and policeman. Lots of complications! Has Mark finally found his life's partner in Tom? You'll have to buy and read to find out.

Excellent continuation of the story. The story and the style keeps me hooked.

I absolutely loved this book. I got a real sense of travelling with Mark and Tom, the descriptions are vivid and enticing.

The mysterious Dante gave me shivers down my spine and I was up late reading to a point where I felt I could safely go to sleep and not spend half the night worrying about what would happen next.

I loved Sottopassaggio, but I think I liked this one even better.

The suspenseful part of the book at the beginning was great but the story slowed down significantly after that. I could never understand what Mark saw in Tom. Tom constantly sends mixed signals to Mark and just puts him through the mental wringer. I grew increasingly frustrated with them both.

This is the 3rd book in the series and I begin to like Mark more and more with each one. This is an excellent read but read them in order.

WOW! This one was the best so far. Creepy, suspenseful, super tense at times. Things really get shaken up, and I have already jumped into the 4th book to see what happens next!

Brilliant, I loved this chapter in Mark's adventure. For me this was the best book in the series so far, and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
