What an informative and beautiful read. I hate the fact that my first ever reading slump tainted what was an otherwise emotional and eye-opening book for me.
I highly recommend this to anyone who is currently struggling with fluctuating Imaan--سبحان الله the fear of the torment of Jahannam and the thirst for the serenity and bliss of Jannah does wonders for the soul. I couldn’t help but dream of trees under which's shade we would ride for a hundred years. Or the fruits of which only taste better the more you eat it, or the reuniting with our loved ones, the peace, peace, peace.
This book helped set my priorities straight, too. It’s so easy to get lost in this Dunya when it’s all you can see, feel, smell, hear, touch. But الله? The Akhirah? Angels who praise and angels who violently punish? Our Nabi ﷺ ? It’s all hidden behind the curtain of the Ghayb. After reading this, I’ve become all too aware of our two impending abodes. And by الله, I pray to be amongst those He ﷻ is most pleased with, those who will see our Rasul ﷺ, those who will rest for eternity .
It’s just a little bit of endurance in this Dunya for an eternity of unimaginable tranquility, إن شاء الله.
