Dante Grimaldi has traveled the world to track down an elusive rogue vampire and its cohorts who are responsible for the torment of his family. Now, they've crossed the final line by kidnapping the Grimaldi offspring. In a race against time to save his family, Dante will destroy anyone who gets in his way. Even the sexy shape-shifter who has offered to help him in his search, if he has to.

Isis Vasquez fell for Dante at first sight. But there's one problem; she has a past connected to his enemies. It's redemption she's after when she offers assistance to the Grimaldi clan, really. Okay, but being close to Dante is a big added bonus.

When they work together, the attraction is instant. The sexual tension threatens to set the world on fire. But can they work out their differences before she's subject to Dante's wrath?

Publisher's This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find Anal play/intercourse, dubious consent, fisting, ménage (m/f/m, f/m/f/m with light f/f interaction), spanking, strong violence. Good read but wanted more for Dante.

Why do authors do this?? JR Ward did the same thing with her character Rhage by choosing a disappointingly unsuitable heroine. I agree with the other 3* star reviews. I just couldn't get into Isis as a good mate for Dante. Let's just get something clear - I LOVE Dante! I wanted someone worthy of him - Dante is the eldest of the four Grimaldi brothers, the leader, a man of morals and a man who has been badly hurt in matters of the heart before. Isis was not that woman. I understand that she is a lone wolf who has done regretable things in the past, but the author didn't give us enough time to establish a rapport with Isis before everything started coming out about her. It also didn't help her case that Paris Kyriakis (Dante's best friend) didn't like her as his daughter's best friend, or that Isis continued to lie to Dante when given the chance(s) to come clean. The fact that she helped with the rescue should have been redeeming, but somehow it wasn't enough to get me to warm up to her. Also, because Isis was Persephone's friend, I couldn't help feeling she was too young for Dante (if a 200yr old can be young for a 700yr old lol). I just never got the image of Isis as 'troubled teenager' out of my head. I never saw her as a full fledged able-bodied woman who could stand by Dante, ready to lead. I could easily see Maggie in this role. Isis had one fleeting moment when I cheered for her but the rest of the time her 'independence' was just annoying. For Dante to go from being 'madly in love' with a woman of Maggie's caliber to falling for Isis was a definite step down, and nowhere near realistic. The electricity just wasn't there with them. I never quite got the 'we are destined to be together' with Isis and Dante that I did with Marco and Maggie (my favorites).

While the main couple didn't work, the rest of the book was fabulous. I always love to see the brothers working together and having the history unfold about Giovanni Grimaldi (the elder) was rewarding. Giovanni's (the younger)acceptance into the family was heartwarming and I'm really hoping it's true that Giovanni will have his own book. I will be first in line to read that. The death of two of the characters was sad but I'm hoping that Gio will find love in the future. Loved the appearance by Marco and Maggie. In this instance their 'assistance' to Isis and Dante was fitting.

All in all a good read, even though I felt Dante got the short end of the stick in the mate department.

I love the Grimaldi brothers, and love all the books prior to this one. This book promised so much, but when I finished it I was disappointed, as it fell flat.

The reason is that there was a fundamental flaw in the interaction with the two principal characters Dante and Isis,

I cared about Dante but didn't feel that connection with Isis. She came across as a strong woman but I didn't care about her as I did for Maggie, Sasha and Christine..

I really wanted to like Isis, as she did have some admirable qualities, but I didn't feel that her relationship with Dante had the chemistry and warmth that the other brothers shared with their mates. Isis showed courage, but lacked conviction. She was aloof and cold at times and didn't engender any strong feelings on my part. By the end of the book I wanted to be happy for Dante, but I felt somehow that Isis was a disappointment.

The book itself would have got a better rating if I wasn't so disappointed in the heroine.

I however liked Giovanni. I am looking forward to reading the final book in this series and hope that his story will be a fitting finale to the Grimaldi Brothers Saga.

I had been anticipating this book for a very long time. I wasn't disappointed at all. Dante, had everything I wanted from the eldest Grimaldi brother. There was so much action, hardcore loving, intense fights, intense arguments between Dante and Isis. Omg..all of the secrets from this family. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I didn't get a glimpse into the reunion between Jagger and Camryn. Jax, is the funniest 6 year old I've read in a book. I want to know who is Robin and will the true eldest (surviving) Grimaldi brother, Giovanni, have a book. And I know my girl Nya will have a book or a least I'm for a book with Nya. Hopefully, she will be with Wolf. Otherwise, read the series..it's a must read!

Hot vampire with an angry streak. You can't read this one without reading the previous books first.

This series has been absolutely wonderful and Dante's story did not disappoint. His blood mate Isis is kick ass, which is just what he needed.

I really wasn't too crazy for this one. I liked the kidnapping storyline part, but the Romance part, didn't sit right with me. I thought Isis had no sense of pride at all. I didn't see the love developing at all. The ménage part was a little sickening to me. Couldn't get pass that at all. I liked Adonis and Nya probably more than I should have, but he did show that he loved her at some point. I would have like to have seen Nya's first meeting with the Romanov twins. Why did we see Camryn and Jagger's reuniting? I liked the acceptance of Giovanni in the brotherhood.

Good read! The fight scenes were great!

Really a well written book! The fight scenes were detailed and visual! The reason for the 4 stars was, I did not like the end. (Spoiler alert) The extra sex, with the woman on woman was totally unnecessary. It added nothing to the plot and therefore the sex just seems like the author wanted to throw girl on girl sex just for the heck of it. She could have given that a hard pass!

Not disappointed

But I could have gone without the carpet burn scene. Not sure if the swingers with siblings/mates is much better. But overall I love the action pack with fight scenes. I'm just loving Jaxson and Adrienne. I'm really think they need a book of their own. Nya definitely needs her book with them twins. She is such a mystery I'm going to need her book to be epic. Good series overall.

A non stop action packed novel. Dante has remain elusive throughout the series and reading his book you get an insight into the man and why he is the way he is. Though When he hurt Isis it tore are my heart and was hard to get threw but in the end it was worth it.

Great series!!

Great series....I've read all of them and each one was powerful, tense, and really hard to put down once you got started. Strong family ties, fully committed to each other at every turn. A lot of ups and downs and tragedies in the family but the way these characters are there for each other is so heart warming. The plot is consistent through out each book and book #1 beautifully flows into book #2 and so on through to this one. Characters are introduced and become a part of the main story line in a flawless way. Great books that I whole heartedly recommend in this genre.

YES!!!

Eve Vaughn, once again I am not disappointed!!! This book was action packed and I could not put it down until I was finished. The only thing that saddened me is that we won't get to read a book about Adonis & Nya. I love this series and I'm anxious to read Giovanni's story.

Dante

This got 3 stars because of Isis. Dante was an ass. You don't treat anyone the way he treated Isis. I understand why she stayed at the end but she should have left much sooner. It disturbed me how he treated her. Giovanni broke my heart. I feel so bad for him and for Nya. It was a good read.

Daunting

Dante's story was heartbreaking at times but no less rewarding. In this book we find the answers to a great many things and find heartache still follows the Grimaldi family.

As always, Eve Vaughn did an awesome job.

Totally Enjoyable

All I can say is BRAVO...... another hit. In all the books, there are typo's. A better editor would be nice. But I will, however, read the last and final book.

Dante is my favorite Romanov. It goes to reason that he would suffer the most after being responsible for his brothers for so long. Isis is perfect for his strong character.
