Atlanta is a sports fanatic and southern to the bone. Between building her empire and having an all out affair with ESPN, she has no love life, but it’s all good because at any given time, a game is being played and if they air it; she will watch it. Because she spends an inordinate amount of time crushing men in the games of their choice, she feels that men are oblivious to her as a woman and has given up on finding a man that isn’t intimidated by her or intent on showing her that he’s better than her.
Steele, is Viking to the core—big, blonde, blue-eyed, and hot with all capital letters…and he likes to pillage. Being a man of privilege he’s accustomed to having his every desire fulfilled with all due haste—until he meets Atlanta. Steele has never met a woman who could say no in so many different ways. She’s determined to say her piece, pay her own way, and always, always have the last word.
Regardless of their differences, they embark on a relationship that is marked by southern food and arguments and soon morphs into a full-fledged romance. Although Atlanta thinks Steele ranks right up there with football season, she doesn’t believe that a man like Steele would ever be interested in her—not even for sex. But Steele is a man who gets what he wants, and he’s determined to have Atlanta, no ifs ands or buts. Not even the ones coming from Atlanta.
What happen when a afro-american southern woman meet an viking-french berserker man? Do you think a lot of wild wild sex? And you are wrong. It happens that the six feet seven inches 250 pounds berserker recognize his soul-mate and starts a six long and tender wooing to convince a stubborn woman that he is the Man, and not only another man.
Atlanta is a thirty years old self made woman with a passion for sports. She own a sports bar and she has a food life. She has no need for a man, unless he is the Man. And when she meet Steele, she falls at first sight. But even if she knows (without try) that sex will be great, she doesn't think that Steele will want a commitment. He is a very rich and very handsome "white boy".
But Steele has other ideas and no matter what Atlanta thinks, she will be his, and his only, forever.
A very funny story, more a chick lit than a romance: an afro-american bridget jones who meets an odino's warrior!
Liked it, then it got worse and by the end I felt disgusted with the MC's attitude and lack of character development. And the paranormal aspect was never fleshed out.

There is nothing like a 6 foot 7 inch, 260 pound Viking to make your day!! Steele and Atlanta are something else. I love them as a couple. Atlanta is a strong 'southern' woman and a die-hard sports enthusiast, who is a force to be reckoned with and Steele is the only man that can tame her. These two argue so much that it gives other people a headache, but that's a good thing. There chemistry is EXPLOSIVE and I love it. Great read, highly recommend!!!
I'm a huge fan of sarcasm and this book was filled with it as well as playful banter. Atlanta and I are so much alike it freaking scared, I was like is this story about me…minus the hot blonde Viking…who I loved and my BF doesn't understand why, but anyway this story was really much well thought out story but the characters were amazing, and the chemistry between the two leads. So 5 stars it is!
I was liking the book but there was no dramatic tension. And no sex until the 60 % mark. At first the main characters banter was witty but became a bit repetitive. I kept waiting for something to happen. Oh well.
The madness of crazysexycool ebooks. I fell into the world of J&J early 2000's and never left. If you want a quick feel good, never gonner happen, except in the marvel world of IR romance, then anything with Jahya Leigh and her crew is worthwhile.
Atlanta's story makes you want to start eating dessert as a starter, dust off your mythology brain and get your sports trivia on point. This a comedy romance that makes you want to travel to the european continent, and find your own berseker quick time.
What a fun read!! After reading that argument, and that fight and howling aloud at the wedding, I need my own Steele bashing. I think I could go head to MFer with his and her family. I’m one proud Black female, thankful that we cured scurvy for all mankind. Just read the novel with joy and love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
Loved it! Courting at its best. All I can say is read this if you enjoy slow foreplay, laughter, arguing and loving so good you want to be them. I look forward to reading better yet, emerging myself into see how the rest of the Posse find their match.
This was my first but definitely not my last book by Jayha Leigh. I met her at #IRAE16 and decided to try one of her books. LOVED IT! It had me laughing so hard in some parts that I cried. Absolutely love The Posse! And I can't wait to read the others stories.
I LOVE THIS STORY!! I have read it about a million times, and I still hold my breath when they're at his parent's house. Steele and Atlanta are my happily ever after couple.
