You have the right to read about sexy cops! That's right, cuff 'em and take them home. These cops are hot, tough, and looking for love.
From CB Potts comes a small town cop with a big town problem on its hands. He's got a grumpy grandma, a pack of criminals, and the hottest man he's ever seen to deal with. Vincent Diamond brings along a retired cop with a terrible need to be touched. And from James Buchanan, we get a tale from the other side of the law, with a bad boy who has a real thing for the lawman.
The alleged Vincent Diamond is a former Central Florida writer now transplanted to North Carolina. When not at the keyboard, I'm in the dressage ring, trying to pick up the correct diagonal at the trot--usually unsuccessfully. Diamond gleefully buys smutty periodicals for “research materials” and lists them on a Schedule C every year. The IRS has yet to question this deduction.
Three very different short stories, still everyone really interesting.
A Cold Night’s Sleep by Vincent Diamond tells us about a retired cop, Sandy, who, after being injured on duty, has preferred the loneliness of a cabin. But sometimes loneliness keeps you cold on night, so when Tanner appears on his doorstep, Sandy is hunger for a warm touch. Even if for only one night.
Small Town Lawmen by C.B. Potts is a really interesting two point of view tale. Win thought are alternate with those of Dylan and all happen in one night: a sheriff from a small town and an investigator from the big city can be soul-mates?
Pat Down by James Buchanan is the story of Jeff who, some years after the high school, has the opportunity to fullfil his jerk off fantasy on Chris, the next door good guy that every girl wants, and maybe also some guys. Sure Jeff wants him.
Not only three stories of cops, but also three all happened in one night stories. Maybe with an "happily ever after" end, maybe not... you have to read them and use your fantasy to choose the end you prefers.
The story is the same with these taste tests, they are unsatisfactory. I am not sure what it is but at the end I am flipping looking for the next chapter. There is no closure to most of the stories.
These stories also didn't really develop the characters. I love me some gay romance but I feel unsated and a little used and abused (not in the good way) after these.
