A wild book with over the top gore and at times cringy romance, but it was fun. I didn’t take it too seriously and found myself enjoying the craziness of the story. Who doesn’t want to read about a knight who can kill a bear by punching it in the neck?

I have four books in this series. I don't know if there are any more, but I wish there were. I thought it was really good. A very tough hero and great action. The historical setting certainly rings with authenticity, though I'm not historian enough to know whether it's just right or not. I thought the whole series was definitely readable.

I haven't read it in awhile, but back in the mid-80s, I enjoyed the crap out of this in jr. high/hs and really, really wish there were more than the 4!

Great, gritty medeival fiction. A man of the crusdades has a strange lightning scar from his head down, imbues Falcon with strength and bravery. The details are great and unflinching. I love it when Falcon runs into battle naked with his sword as the man knew his priorities. I love how the swords have names.

Well-researched historical men's actioner with an very unglamorous take on the Crusader period - plenty of realistic detail regarding the environments and the less than poetic ramifications of death in combat.
