This was a fascinating read, as I studied abroad in Salamanca! I loved the setting and descriptions of the town; it brought back a lot of memories.

I got this book as a Blind date with a book from my library. I am sure I would not have chosen this book on my own, and when I unwrapped the book, I was somewhat disappointed. I quickly started skimming the pages to at least give it a chance. I found myself flipping the pages quickly to find out what happened next. A real page turner with romance, intrigue, adventure, and a fight between good and evil. The antagonist Julian reminded me so much of Voldemort actually. A story I won't soon forget, one that was so different than what I usually would select. I also enjoyed the Christian storyline, which wasn't advertised at all. Pleasantly surprised!

This book was....all right...No real depth for either the story line or the characters...not much of a cliff hanger at all...this would be a good "mystery" story for say much younger readers.

One thing that REALLY irritated me about this book was the amount of typos...don't really know if that is something that you could blame the author for but I literally found for typos/wrong words with in the first 100 pages...I am not perfect and misspell things...but I'm not trying to publish a book either! UGH!

Also this book has a very heavy religious theme. That didn't bother me at all, but I think that if some people DO have a problem with that they might not be able to enjoy the book.

I enjoyed this romantic suspense. I love the wonderful descriptions of Spain and how the author skillfully played off the history of both the local areas and that of the country. The plot was intricate with the addition of many twists and turns. There’s no doubt that this book is Christian fiction, as faith is an integral part of the story.

Predictable, overall. The plot was engaging enough to keep me reading, but I found myself reading to see how things happened rather than what happened.
