Thom Hartman is a very liberal (or Progressive) radio host out of Seattle. He's quite intelligent, albeit a bit paranoid and conspiratorial about things.I have previously read his book Screwed: The War Against the Middle Class and loved it. This book is his distilled thinking about the influence of corporations on our democracy, as well as his opinions about what is ruining our nation. He makes some excellent points, although I'd like to know if his thinking about the national debt (a catastrophe under President Bush, according to the author) is different under President Obama, who has tripled the debt with no end in sight.
This book is a graphic novel (or non-novel, I guess), which makes it a quick read, and a bit of a precursor to Howard Zinn's A People's History of the American Empire. If you are interested in what a smart, far-Left guy thinks about what is ailing America (corporate personhood...and I couldn't agree more with that point), this is the book for you.
