Every time someone big gets turned now it makes me ill. The situation is already so dire and yet somehow it keeps getting worse?!
This was another entertaining issue, though not as captivating as previous issues. I'm starting to lose track a little so it might be mice to go back and re-read once they're all out.
We're seeing a lot of the DC universe in this story and it's good fun for me as a relative newbie but it does also sometimes make things hard to follow.
All up, though, another entertaining issue that has me hanging for the next one.

Still digging the writing, art, and narrative style. Just when you think it can't get worse, of course it does. And just when you see a ray of hope, you can be sure everything is about to get even more F'd up. This particular issue seemed a little predictable, but my heart did drop at the Superman symbol.

DC keeps ramping up the storyline. Yikes! Not just the end of the world, but the end of the universe!

That cocky son of a…!!! You have got to be kidding me!! As we jump into this issue, we return to Earth 2 to welcome some visitors. None other than Scott, Barda, and Death itself the black racer…and they need help. But as we jump back to Oa we find a reality altering imo facing a god of war…everyone was too afraid to step in between these cosmic powers…except for the Supermen. They cannot continue to fight against each other, they will be curing the infected planets and if the green lantern corps want to stand against them then so be it. But then Wonder Woman steps up to explain this is not just an equation, Ares showed them the truth this is a being called Erebos which darkseid has allowed to leech into the universe. This immediately sends up red flags for the guardians as they recognize the name and this changes everything. This is no mere virus and all of the lanterns must be redirected to protect the central power battery. But if they are going to be here the league still wants to go out to the front lines to face the threat…but as the guardians pull up the maps of the universe they show that there are no front lines as the threat has spread across galaxies. But then they notice one planet about to be attacked…none other than Kilowog’s home planet. He is not going to stick around while they face this threat, he takes off immediately and he won’t be doing it alone. The guardians may be scurrying away to have a meeting with the Quintessence to decide the fate of the universe b he Superman and Mxyz will sure as hell go out to face darkseid. Jon wants to join him but the war is all over the place and Superman convinced him that he is needed elsewhere.
As the two supermen embrace and promise to see each other again, Clark and Mxyz take off to catch up to Kilowog to help his world. The world is comprised of 16 billion all connected by a communal mind, as Kilowog approaches he is rejoined with that mind and feels abject terror. But these three are not standing alone, a group of lanterns broke off to come and help their friend as well. They immediately fly down to start fighting off the anti living Thanagarians, Superman doing his thing as he spreads hope wherever he goes…but then he is put into the ground by someone he doesn’t recognize, someone wearing his crest, none other than…anti living supergirl, completing desecrating his symbol with every laser beam that only brings death. Before Superman could step in to help any further he is blasted down by one of Darkseid’s yellow omega beams. But this opens the door for a very over confident Myxz to step in to turn darkseid into whatever he wants to finally end this, should be easy enough as long as he has a moment to think…but he doesn’t, as everyone seems to forget how this virus original spread…as darkseid holds up a mother box Mxyz is shown the equation and takes it in throwing his eyes as it corrupts him an immediately takes hold. It now possesses the greatest threat in most dimensions. It immediately begins to slaughter, John Stewart and Kilowog are crushed between his fingers as Mxyz then flies through the planet and immediately makes way for OA. He crashes through and destroys the central battery, cutting off all of the lanterns and exposing them to the vacuum of space. All the while the quintessence (comprised of Ares. Hera, Spectre, Phantom Stranger, and a few guardians) watch in without interference as they try and decide if this universe is worth saving. But Spectre refuses to stand by while this occurs, he will not let their universe be taken without a fight. Suddenly all of the lanterns find their power back right before they could die in space as the spectre restored their lantern and now wields it as his own! He flies up to take Myxz on himself, projecting a giant sword in the process. THAT’S MY BOY!! He got us through the original crisis and he can get us through this!!

Kilowog goes off to save his home planet getting aid from a lot of the GL corps with the rest protecting Oa and the power battery.
Superman tells Jon to protect earth one and two and those on it as he goes with Kilowog to take on Darkseid and the army of the turned.
Mr. Mxyzptlk takes on Darkseid himself to devastating results as he is turned and makes a beeline back to and through the power battery cutting off the corps from their source of power.
The Spectre intervenes restoring the power battery, the GL corps themselves and ready to take on Mxyzptlk himself.
Taylor ramps up the drama with the heavy hitters doing what they can do.
