Slade: No Place Like Home for the Holidays

Becca and Slade never stood a chance back in high school. She was a nerd, blending in with the geeks in the back of auditorium as Slade's band performed for Senior Night. A chance encounter set them on a path to be more than acquaintances who had a couple classes together, but it imploded as quickly as it started.

Slade's back in town for the holidays, reluctantly, his brother and their band, Reciprocity, performing at the local Winter Festival with their old drummer. He never wanted to go to that tree farm with his dad, he sure as hell didn't want to meet eyes with the girl who tore his heart out in high school when she slept with his bandmate.

Becca doesn't want it to be true. She doesn't want to be in love with someone so unattainable that he's a literal rock god on the soundtrack to the hot holiday action flick. She doesn't want to continue hearing his name every time she goes to the drug store or his songs on her bosses workout playlist. She doesn't want to love him as much as she does, not when her dad loves him just as much.

Slade knows it's a stopover, a last ditch effort to patch things up with his old man so he never has to step foot in Graybush again. He didn't mean to fall in love with her, not again. One time getting his heart stomped on was enough, he didn't sign up for another. So why does he want to spend every second of this break from tour in her house, with her dad, watching the two of them show him what family is supposed to be.

No Place like Home for the Holidays is a standalone clean romantic rockstar story with a happily ever after that is sure to leave you humming along to Christmas carols as you sip your peppermint hot chocolate.

Loved it

I loved the plot and the feels I felt right along with Slade and Becs. I loved every moment from start to finish.
