One of Marvel Comics' favorite characters, Wolverine is a mutant who possesses animal-like instincts, super-enhanced strength, and the ability to heal from any wound. While he was part of the Weapon X program his skeletal structure was bonded with the near-destructible alloy adamantium, and now very little can stop him.
DK's publishing program celebrates Wolverine's classic comic book roots, with gorgeous imagery, classic story lines, and a nod to the franchise that Wolverine has become.
Super-fans can learn about Wolverine's comic book debut (a cameo in a Hulk comic in 1974), and the development of his character, his story, the X-Men, and more in our comprehensive and spectacularly illustrated Ultimate Guide.

Marvel Fan? READ IT! Wolverine fan? READ IT? It’s so rich in facts and includes everything from dates to the issue of comic. Everything I knew about Wolverine, only 1% of what this guide can teach you. It seemed that every illustration even remotely linked to Wolverine was in there.
Beautiful coffee table book that provides an in-depth look at one of the most interesting comic book characters ever created. A must have for Wolverine fans.
Here's the 200-page hardcover guide into one of the world's most popular mutants, Wolverine. This book really stands out visually. Not only is the cover red, the edges of the pages are also red.
I used to watch the classic X-men animation on TV, and even back then I was intrigued by Wolverine. His abilities are really cool, and his back stories are fascinating as well.
The pages are filled to the brim with all sorts of information on Wolverine, like his origin, career, ability, lesser known facts, quotes, nemesis, love interest and all the different places he appears in his own comics and others. It's a engaging read into the legendary character.
As with most DK books, this book is also loaded with beautiful art from the comics. There are all styles of Wolverine you can look at, him with his different costumes, outfits or without, as drawn by different top artists.
This is the best compilation and writeup on Wolverine, certainly the ultimate guide to the ultimate weapon.
Snkit. Snkit. It’s the sound of Wolverine’s adamantium claws slicing and dicing.
Maybe you’ve read every X-Men ever printed, or perhaps you’ve seen the films and think he’s kind of cool. Either way Wolverine:Inside the World of the Living Weapon will have something for you. Did you know that Wolverine used to date Mystique? Or that Magneto once ripped the adamantium from Logan’s bones? Did you know Wolverine has a son named Daken? There is much to learn about the beloved beserker from up North.
As fascinating as all of the various back stories, rivalries, etc. are, it’s sometimes difficult keeping them all straight. This is an absolute must read for Wolverine fans, and it’ll help get you up to date for the next film. Yep, that’s right. They’re making another Wolverine movie. This one is rumored to be about his time in Japan.
This is a very visually pleasing book. It is a very good look at the character of Wolverine from his beginnings to today. Along the way, you get to see how the character evolved and gained depth, thus becoming a very popular fixture in the Marvel universe. I read it cover to cover, but it is a book that just invites browsing. This is everything you wanted to know about Wolverine, and then some. But you also get a great look at events and other characters in the Marvel universe, in large measure because Wolverine has been all over the place so to speak. I think fans will definitely enjoy it, and casual readers like me will like it as well.
This book covers the Marvel character Wolverine in an easy to read way that makes the character accessible to casual comic readers. There are aspects that comic fans will already know and the book has several key points and moments inexplicably missing or poorly explained. A particular highlight was having key issues clearly summarised, although not all choices were key Wolverine moments and some key stories and moments were not covered in enough detail. All readers can get something out of this book which will differ depending on whether the reader already knows about Wolverine and the Marvel 616 universe more broadly.
I assumed this was a compilation of comics, but it's really just Wolverine's character history. A bit dry, and may be disappointing for someone hoping for comics, but this would be a fine book for anyone who is a fan of Wolverine or who is newer to comic books/X-Men and wants to learn more about his background as a character. If you've only seen the movies you might be surprised to learn that Wolverine is an really just an old 5'3" Canadian guy. If you want a reference for a history of his dynamics with other characters, you'll like this. With that said, there were a few interesting things and characters that I found out about in reading this that I would like to learn a bit more about, like Gahck and Black Shadow/White Shadow.
