Detective McKenna Kelly made it her mission to put Jack Harrison behind bars. A privileged punk protected by his powerful father, he took what he wanted with no regard for right and wrong. The police couldn't touch him, and if they tried, the District Attorney wouldn't prosecute. With each assault, McKenna grew more desperate and reasoned getting him off the streets justified bending the rules.
But Dr. Emma White had treated too many of Jack's victims, and she had had enough. If the authorities refused to protect young women from Jack Harrison, then she would.
When Jack is gruesomely murdered, McKenna isn't sure she should untangle the web of deceit, vengeance, and vigilantism. If she did, what secrets might she expose that are better left hidden?
I'm a recovering Nuclear Engineer and MBA with 38 years of experience writing technical and professional documents of all kinds. I retired from the U. S. Navy as a civil servant in January 2020, expecting to become a gig-writer providing technical content to clients. I decided to sacrifice that boring life to write novels in my favorite genre — action-adventure-thrillers. I use real-life current events and places to bring realism and suspense to my stories and strive for technical accuracy in the details of my writing.
Great little mystery. It involves the murder of a serial rapist and I worried that the topic might be too sensitive but the author handled all the details well. As with all good mysteries the author keeps you guessing and then ends with a nice twist. As I said, it’s a quick read and worth your time. Pick it up.
