I would firstly like to say a big thank you to the author who very kindly forwarded me a beta copy of her book, for my Kindle, in return for my honest review…

My Spanish Romance is actually book number four in the ‘My Ten Year Crush’ series but can very easily be read as a standalone with no problems at all, but why would you only read one when they are all such good books!

Anyone who knows me will know that my favourite reading genre is rom-com and this book fits the bill perfectly. It is full of romance, sunshine and great characters and also has some very funny moments and a good sprinkling of sauce too!!

The two main characters, Lily and Carlos are both wonderful and have amazing chemistry, even though they are not supposed to!

I also loved the great selection of side characters, especially Doris, who was absolutely hilarious and Zachary who was also very funny!

I really enjoyed that we also get little pieces of some of the characters from the other books in the series and get a catch-up of their lives too.

The author’s style of writing was amazing and the way that she describes the places they are visiting is perfect and really made me feel like I was there with Lily and Carlos and it really made reading the book so much better.

Throughout the book there is a lot of music mentioned and i found myself singing the songs in my head while i was reading! I do love it when a book has a playlist, it makes it much more interactive and memorable.

There was a great deal of will they won’t they and i often screamed at the page in frustration - in a good way!! It was such a good teaser!!

The ending was absolutely perfect and just what i wanted to finish off a wonderful book!

My Spanish Romance was a wonderful rom-com, full of feelings, romance, funny moments, sight seeing, sun and a whole lot of sauciness too.

Now i am patiently waiting for book number five………

Title: My Spanish Romance
Author: Olivia Spring
Hero/Heroine: Carlos & Lily
Tropes: Brothers Best Friend, Friends to Lovers,

TW/CW: Death of a parent (off page), infidelity, self image issues, mention of debt,

THE GOOD 😀

This book really made me want to go on holiday, not gonna lie. The descriptions of Marbella and Madrid along with the food and gorgeous Spanish men (Hi Carlos) were enough to make me want to hop the nearest Ryanair flight and get the hell away from this cold U.K weather.

As with previous books I’ve read by this author, I immediately related to the heroine, Lily. She was smart and independent, however she’d just come out of a crappy relationship and wanted to do something completely out of the ordinary for her. Taking a sabbatical from work and travelling to Spain to work behind a bar in a fancy hotel definitely took her out of her comfort zone. And running into her brothers hot friend Carlos is of course an added bonus.

This was such a funny and feel good story, seeing Lily grow in confidence throughout her time in Spain (although I’d have to say I don’t think the bucket was her finest moment, IYKYK). With Carlos’s help, Lily realised that she didn’t have to be that woman who stayed in her lane and never put a toe out of line. She could take control of her own life and take back the power her ex had taken away with his disparaging comments. And she and Carlos were so bloody adorable, they brought the biggest smile to my face.

Witty, steamy and full of gorgeous descriptions of Spain, this was the perfect escapist read that I couldn’t help love. She’s done it again folks!

THE BAD ☹️

River. There aren’t enough swear words to describe this smarmy arsehole.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this to read. This is my honest review.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: The perfect summery escapist read

This follows Lily and Carlos. From the age of 16 she has fallen for Carlos her older brother's best friend. She is now 32 fresh out of a relationship and at a standstill in her life while everyone is getting married or having kids around her. As she has never done anything for herself she takes an opportunity to work in a hotel in Spain for six weeks and may accidentally run into Carlos.

Wow, what a holiday read. I'm currently on my Honeymoon and this book was the perfect vibe for my trip. This man Carlos is a book boyfriend material for sure and the things he would do just to take care of her or show her around. I loved how it brought to light struggles with acne and relatable troubles like financially speaking. It was a funny, feel good novel with great spice.

Just a couple of things I want to mention. Lily doubted Carlos due to the ladies swooning over him so it was brought up quite a few times. Also, I pre guessed a couple of things that I could see coming but other than that amazing read.

“𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕪 𝕥𝕠𝕝𝕕 𝕞𝕖 𝕀 𝕨𝕒𝕤 𝕒𝕟 𝕠𝕦𝕥-𝕠𝕗-𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕣𝕠𝕝 𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕚𝕟 𝕒𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕔𝕣𝕒𝕤𝕙…”

Wow, this is a touching story about a young 16 year old, who finds out her sister has died after suffering a brain aneurysm. For a start, this hit me quite hard… I lost my Grandpa (quite young) to a brain aneurysm and I struggle most days.

The story takes you on a journey with Nico how she navigates life without her sister, deals with her death and her having to grow up and deal with the reality of life.

Nico has had quite a hard upbringing, her parents favoured her sister and have neglected Nico to an extent. I think the book is brilliant at showing you how a 16 year old navigates life and can sometimes lash out by running away and trying to find Kurt Cobain’s house (not all 16 year olds are the same) but I think this was Nico’s way of grieving for her sister and trying to prove something to her parents… and probably herself, in a way?

It was written very well, character growth and development throughout the book was marvellous. I loved the 90’s era feel throughout the book and the story we were taken on. It was very vivid and inspiring.

A book I didn’t know I needed in my life but came at a great time. Nico is a strong 16 year old, the reader feels empathy with what she’s going through and how she’s handling life.

I want to say a massive thank you to @leematthewgoldberg for reaching out and #gifting me a copy of your book. It is a wonderful book and you should be proud.

This is a funny, sweet and sexy romance. Lily has had the hots for Carlos since she was a teenager. When she takes a sabbatical from her accounting job in London to work at a hotel pool bar in Marbella, she discovers Carlos is a DJ there and their relationship ignites.

Their path to true love isn’t plain sailing with lots of dips and bumps to overcome, but the journey is interspersed with humour, 90s music, salsa, travel (and some interestingly-shaped waffles!) along the way to keep the tone light.

There’s plenty to love about this book: Lily is a likeable FMC and her skin problems make her very relatable. She’s sweet without being saccharine. Carlos is a dreamboat, verging on perfection but he too has his flaws.

This was an enjoyable read from beginning to end; the beach scene with the dog was lol funny and I thought the steamy scenes were well done and naturally interwoven. Definitely recommend if you like romances in exotic locales with well developed characters and a solid plot.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Would like to thank Olivia so much for seeing me an arc for my kindle in exchange for an honest review!

This was a super sweet and sexy romance with bits of humour throughout! The absolute perfect book to pick up other the summer months, but just as perfect for rainy January to transport you to sunny Spain!🌞

This was such a great read, I loved Lily as a character! I think she was pretty relatable in some ways, we all have our insecurities but the way she became more comfortable with herself was great to see.

I'm also sooo excited to read about Melody & Nate in the next book! I've loved reading the little bits about each of them, can I sense some enemies to lovers coming on?👀

As usual, Olivia has created another astounding book! The My Ten-Year Crush series is just amazing. I sped through, reading the book in about 3 days and staying up late to find out what happens next 😅

I think the main character is super relatable. Particularly in the fact that we all get comfortable and have dreams of travelling but just don't feel like it's achievable. And I like how the book acknowledged some of the practical side with her job too, not just 'she went to Spain and it was all super easy'.

I also liked how it referred to her toxic ex and how the past of the two main characters formed their choices but also bonded them in the end, when the time was right ❤️

4.5 stars – Will Carlos be the debit that balances Lily’s heart?!

Can you tell I’m a bookkeeper from the headline? I couldn’t help myself… *snort-laughs*

Anyhoots, back to the book.

Wanna know what Olivia Spring’s author superpower is? Creating MMCs that appear as if they have this life thing in. The. Bag. Yet if you scratch the surface (*sighs* if only…), even just a little bit, you’ll find they are just as flawed as the rest of us. Hello Laura Catnip!

I must confess that I found Lily’s story very emotional. *holds up hand* Don’t get me wrong, it has all the funny and heat I’ve come to expect from the author (we’ll get to that later!), but not only is Oor Lils an accountant she also suffers from skin problems. Over the course of my life I’ve been on hospital medication three times for the same issue and it really hit a nerve with me. Cue quick intakes of breath as all the insecurities and lack of confidence came flooding back.

So, as you imagine after The River Debacle, I was metaphorically packing Lily’s bags and shooing her out the door for her sabbatical to Spain. Coz she is beautiful and brave; she just doesn’t recognise it in herself yet.

*sighs* Carlos had some big shoes to fill owing to exploits of Mike and Nico. Thanks to The FF’s these two have left somewhat of an impression *smirks* but what can I say? Carlos’ hips don’t lie! The Beach scene had me sweating one minute and cackling the next. Oh, and I’m never gonna look at a glow stick the same again! Just another item to add to the OS Scene Association list. Whaaa?! Doesn’t every OS reader have one of those? *snorts*

Uplifting, funny, heartfelt, feel-good and spicy fun. It’ll certainly heat you up on a dreich January day. *mutters* My only grumble was the fact I was going about singing NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye for hours afterwards… #IYKYK *palms face*

First, I want to thank Olivia Spring and Hartley Publishing for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

YES!! Olivia Spring is back to whisk us to Spain in her latest book My Spanish Romance from our comfy chairs! After the winter we are having in Buffalo, NY it was a much needed escape from reality!

My Spanish Romance is Olivia’s fourth book in My Ten-Year Crush series. If you have not had the chance to read them I highly suggest you do! They will leave a smile on your face and you will laugh out loud! However, My Spanish Romance can be read as a standalone book.

I absolutely loved the 90’s!! So all of the references to one of my favorite boy bands NSYNC and Britney references!! I actually would have liked to hear Lily belt out some Britney or seen some NSYNC’s famous dance moves!

There were so many times in this book that Olivia said something or made a reference to something that had me laughing like crazy! Then again she is good at that!

Out of every character in the book River was the one I despised! Although, I did love the characters name as it reminded me of the late River Phoenix (whom I adored growing up). River, the character in the book actually reminded me of one of my ex’s!

My Spanish Romance was laced with some very spicy intimate scenes that you will feel like a fly on the wall with front row seats! Olivia is good at those scenes!

If you are looking for a fun and easy read then you need to pick up My Spanish Romance by Olivia Spring!

This book was soo good! Super fun, quick, steamy read with one of my favorite tropes - brothers best friend!!! I LOVED Carlos and Lily's story so much, it was truly a burst of sunshine. The characters were so relatable and so fun to read that I didn't want it to end. It had so many laugh out loud moments my husband kept giving me funny looks as I read. She did a truly amazing job at creating swoon worthy chemistry and Carlos and Lily were just PERFECT together.

This was my first time reading one of Olivia's books [I did not realize she had so many out] and it will not be my last, the writing was AMAZING, and you felt an instant connection to the characters. One of my favorite parts of this book was the way she wrote Carlos, no not his charisma or his good looks but the way he talks - let me explain. I've read a ton of books where the main male character isn't American and I was NEVER able to read it and hear the accents or the dialect but with this entire book I did and I absolutely loved it! and his nickname for Lily had me swooning EVERY single time he said it! Ugh it was all so cute!

I LOVED the way Carlos made Lily feel adored and cherished but my favorite thing about their relationship was how he made her see herself in a new light - he gave her confidence and that was truly beautiful. I can go on and on but ill end it with this; Olivia's writing gave me all the gushy feels and I cannot recommend this enough!

Thank you so much to Olivia for sending this ARC before the books release in exchange for an honest review.

"My Spanish Romance" by Oliva Spring is a must-read for fans of steamy romance novels. The book follows Lily, who we have met in previous books in the series, as she takes a much-needed break from her cheating ex-boyfriend and embarks on a sabbatical to Marbella, Spain. Little does she know, she'll be rekindling an old crush on her brother's best friend, the handsome Spanish DJ Carlos (fans self numerous times)...

The chemistry between Lily and Carlos is palpable, and the tension between them is electric. Spring does a fantastic job of building up the attraction between the two without making it feel forced or unrealistic. Carlos is also not only an amazing DJ but a masseuse (fans self YET AGAIN)... In addition, his backstory is done brilliantly, providing an unusual take for a romance novel and adding depth to his character.

The forbidden love aspect of the story is a classic trope, but Spring puts her own spin on it, making it fresh and exciting. Lily and Carlos know that getting involved could potentially ruin their friendship with Lily's brother, but they can't deny the strong connection they feel.

"My Spanish Romance" is a fun, steamy, and heartwarming read that will have you rooting for Lily and Carlos's happy ending. Spring's writing is engaging, and her attention to detail transports readers straight to the sunny beaches of Marbella. If you're in the mood for a feel-good romance with a touch of spice, this book is for you. I loved it!

Lily is an accountant at a CA practice in London. In her early thirties, she’s got a stable job and her own home, but her love life could be better. Her last boyfriend River was a client who she found out wasn’t faithful to her. When she is forced to take over his account, her older sister’s suggestion to take a sabbatical and work at a temp job at a bar in Spain suddenly sounds a lot more attractive! When Lily gets to Marbella, the DJ at the hotel is her older brother’s best friend Carlos, and her years long crush is realised!

𝓜𝔂 𝓽𝓱𝓸𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓼
I loved Lily’s character so much. She has so much of her life together but it feels like the joy isn’t there. I also don’t think I have read any books recently where a character struggles with acne and from personal experience this is treated with such empathy. I love how mature Carlos is, how he cares for Lily when she needs him and then tackles their separation at the end of her trip. This is a positive and fun read, but it also covers so many aspects where both the main characters have insecurities about themselves. This 4th story in the My Ten Year Crush series can easily be read as a standalone story but you can also treat yourself and find out more about Bella and Cassie in the other books! ❤️

Rule-following accountant Lily takes a break from her job to bartend at a beachside resort in Spain. Sounds like a dream, right? The only complication is that she doesn't know how to make and serve drinks - her sister may have embellished things a bit too much to get Lily the job. Things get a bit more complicated when the resident DJ turns out to be none other that Carlos, her older brother's hot, nice, and totally off-limits friend.

What starts as a chance encounter leads to a very satisfying summer romance for our couple. They each learn more about themselves, face their fears, and get more clarity about what they want out of life. It's hard not to root for Lily: the self-consciousness about her body and acne is incredibly relatable, especially given the context of the Spanish beachside lifestyle. Carlos is a hunk with a heart: he is observant of Lily's likes and dislikes, generous with his time and energy, and is caught in that weird place of knowing you need to make a change but not knowing exactly how to get there. Realistic and relatable.

This review is of the ARC of the book, which I received directly from the author. This is my honest opinion.

My Spanish Romance

Lily falls for her brothers best friend, Carlos, when she's 16. Years later, her boyfriend cheats on her, so she travels to Spain on vacation and runs into Carlos.

I love Lily! She's finding herself on this trip and that's such a beautiful transformation. It's breathtaking, quite honestly. Their story is quite sweet and the spice is scorching hot! I got pretty emotional throughout this book, as it gave me all the feels - happy, sad, frustrated (at a character or two at times) and it was a beautiful ride. The character arcs and the plot make this feel like a fresh take on a romance and I love that!

This is the first book I've read from this author and I will definitely be reading more from her. This is the 4th book from the '10 Year Crush' Series. The additional characters were so fun, I am definitely reading the rest of the series, but it's not required as it is a standalone.

This story is everything. There's spice, an amazing plot, wonderful characters and emotions galore.

If you like brother's best friend, travel romances, finding yourself, or just a really good romance book, I recommend this book.

The perfect romantic book with some good steamy sex scenes. A beautiful dreamy beach location, with amazing delicious food mentioned and many laugh out loud moments. I was cracking up throughout.

Such an easy read, which I just loved the story on fate, it was exciting and full of new beginnings. It was fab and just what was needed to beat the January blues!

I thought Lily was great and I enjoyed getting to know her story. I love how much of an independent woman she is and I’m totally here for that and solo female travel 💪🏼

I also enjoyed getting to hear how Cassie was doing from the previous book. This can be read as a stand-alone but the previous books are great and definitely worth a read

Read it if you love:
🌶️ A good bit of smut
❤️Sexy hot men (Carlos)
🏝️Beautiful location setting
👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏻Forbidden romance
💫Strong female character
🫶🏼 Are a fan of romcoms

I love that there is definitely another story to be had with another character (no spoilers). Eeeeekkk so excited for this.

I am also bumping up Madrid and Granada on my list of places to visit as they sound pretty and amazing. Loved the dates here! Defo some solo travel there to be had or find myself a Carlos! 🤭

This is the 4th book in a series and I was going in with high hopes as I’d really liked the previous three books; My Ten-Year Crush, My Lucky Night, and My Paris Romance. This was every bit as good as the other three with a forbidden love, lots of spice and the familiar family and characters.

I really like it when I can relate to something in a book and with this it was Lily’s job as I’m also an accountant who’s hoping to climb the ladder. That was about where the similarities ended but I felt like I could sympathise with her and liked her more as the book progressed. She ends up getting in some rather sticky situations but I found myself chuckling out loud to a few of them, there are definitely others that get you a bit hot under the collar though!

We also get little cameos from Bella and Cassie in this which I liked as it feels like you’re checking in with old friends – especially with Cassie’s news at the end of this!

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I knew I would, Olivia keeps you engaged and makes you want to keep on reading. You’ll finish this book with a big smile on your face!

This is the 4th book in the ‘My Ten-Year Crush’ series and each one just makes me happier and happier. It could definitely be read as a standalone, but Olivia Spring’s books are so entertaining, once you read one you will want to read them all.

I loved Lily as a main character, she is bright and positive, but with some considerable vulnerabilities, namely her lack of confidence in her skin because of long term acne problems. She hides behind the mask of her clothing and her make up because previous men have told her that they find her skin repellent. As she gets closer to Carlos, his confidence and admiration helps her to relax and feel a little happier in her own skin, which was beautiful to watch.

Carlos, a drop-dead gorgeous DJ with women constantly throwing themselves at him, only has eyes for Lily, and when she sees the difference in his smile to his admirers compared to how he looks at her, she is completely unconcerned about the attention he receives, because she knows she is the person he wants. Carlos is still flawed, and is also torn between his feelings for Lily, and his duty towards his best friend Nate.

There were some really lovely characters within this story. I was particularly fond of Zachary, and lovely Doris.

There were some deeper moments, as Carlos faced up to his past and how it influenced his present, but there were also some absolutely hilarious moments, particularly the time on the beach with the naughty dog!

My Spanish Romance was a wonderful escape to Marbella, with a serious dose of some very steamy romance. I am so excited for the next book in the series.

Although I have not read previous books in this series called My Ten Year Crush, i enjoyed reading this book. It can also be read as a standalone.

Lily wants to take a break from her life and to get over his ex boyfriend. She takes a job as bartender although she had zero experience. But with the help of her sister, Cassie's boyfriend, Nico, she travelled to Spain alone. And guess what! She meets her teenage crush, Carlos who happened to be DJ at same hotel.

I loved chemistry between Lily and Carlos. What a cute nickname given by Carlos to Lily - Quesito. I got to know about Spanish language with this story and i now wish to learn it some day. They had wonderful connection. Carlos is a lovely and kind person. He knew Lily deserved the best and he made himself the best with his hardwork. How sweet is that! I totally adored both of them.

I am eager to read other books in this series as I want to know about other characters story also. If you like cute and full of love romcoms, then this is definitely recommended.

In these cold January temperatures, no need for a hot water bottle or heating on with this book around as you'll be feeling hotttt. Not only from the Marbella sun on your face, that gorgeous yellow cover, but with Carlos and his charms. Swooooon.

Ok, I've recovered, I shall now continue! **fans self**
This lovely intro hooks you into their back story from the off and as Lily wants to know more about Carlos when they meet again, as a reader I did too. He had an air of mystery about him as well as being very easy on the eye. The chemistry beams off the page so get your factor 50 out and watch as these two sizzle in the sunlight.

I have to mention the nod to 90s pop music too- thank goodness I'm not alone in my bad music taste- go Lily!

A truly perfect winter read to get you looking forward to summer and feeling some heat. Adored this read.

Spanish romances are one of my favourites and this one has the perfect amount of sweet & spice.
While this book is the fourth one in the series, it can also be read as a standalone like I did. It’s a beautiful story where two not so perfect characters come together only to realise they’re perfect for eachother, just as they are.
Lily is a rule-following accountant who takes the plunge and goes on a trip to re-discover herself, but runs into her brother’s bestfriend who also happens to be her teenage crush. What starts as a one-night only relationship soon turns out to become their ‘You’re it for me’. This book had me swooning, giggling and crying! It’s a wonderful rom-com with many funny and steamy moments. Safe to say, I will definitely be reading more from this author and look forward to the fifth book in the series.

I cannot believe #myspanishromance is Olivia Springs tenth book! I feel very privileged to be on the blog tour!

After Christmas I always struggle to choose what to read but this easy feel good read came at the right time. With a fun and flirty storyline this had me whisked off to the sunnier climes of Spain, most certainly chasing away those January blues. Read as a standalone or as book four in the #mytenyearcrush series this is one of my favourites (but I have been known to say that about every book! 🤭).

With all book series, it’s a pleasure to catch up with old faces as well as meeting new ones. Olivia creates a diverse cast of characters that are funny, relatable and authentic always finishing the story with new friends.

Packed with humour, good food, salsa dancing and some cheesy pop music this was a welcome treat! I enjoyed the story between Lily and Carlos, the will they won’t they plot always gets my vote! The chemistry between them was hot hot hot.. no need for a blanket during this cold snap! 😂

When I wasn’t laughing out loud or desperately wanting tapas 😋 I really felt for Lily and her insecurities over her troubled skin. Speaking from experience, skin health can have a very powerful impact on your emotional and mental well-being. It was refreshing to read of a female lead that didn’t have that glossy air brushed finish, real characters with real struggles.

A fab book full of adventure and new beginnings, being brave to switch life up and to love yourself for you. Thank you Olivia for another great read and for asking me to join the blog tour!

Loved this book!
I was provided with an arc by Olivia for an honest review ☺️

I knew I’d love this book as I read her other one ( one lucky night ) and I liked the writing & enjoyed that. I enjoyed this book more just because it was a much bigger book so you understood & liked the characters more if that makes sense haha.

Carlos is just 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

I loved how he brought out Lilys confidence and I used to relate to a lot of the things she was conscious about so it was nice to hear him build her up throughout 🥹

I was so annoyed at Carlos on her last night ( you’ll understand once you read ) but then he made up for it a 100 times over right at the end - loved it!

100% going to read the other books Olivia has written as I really enjoy them and love her writing! 🙌🏼

Thank you to the author for including me as an arc reader for this book.
This was such a good read. I instantly loved Lily! I instantly wanted her to have all the best things in life. She was a truly lovely character. I also really liked Carlos and wanted them to be together from the off.

The majority of these characters were familiar from the previous books but hearing what they were up to along the way was also lovely.

I am super excited for the next in this series. I am looking forward to getting to know other characters more along with seeing a favourite couple moving further along in their story

Thank you so much to Olivia Spring for allowing me to read and review My Spanish Romance and be a part of the Book Tour!

"Dating her brother’s best friend is against the rules. But some rules are meant to be broken..."

My Spanish Romance is another amazing rom com from Olivia Spring.
Part of the My Ten Year Crush Series, I loved reading Lily and Carlos' story.
You could definitely read this as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the previous 3 books for the best experience. They are just as brilliant, and we get to see a little glimpse of how some of the other characters are doing, which I love in a book series!

I always enjoy Olivia Spring books as they are nice, easy reads, but the characters are so real and relatable.
I really liked Lily and Carlos story - the connection between them was incredible, and there were some seriously steamy scenes in this one!🥵
The setting in Marbella was perfect escapism for a gloomy, cold January!

Thank you so much again to Olivia Spring for allowing me to read and review My Spanish Romance. I loved it, and I can't wait to read about Melody & Nate in the next one!😍❤

I’m really enjoying the My Ten-Year Crush series from Olivia Spring. Each book is definitely standalone but it makes so much more of the stories to read them as the series. Familiar characters pop up in each new book and I’ve loved seeing how Cassie and Nico are getting on.
Loved seeing Spain through Lily’s eyes in My Spanish Romance - Carlos was a great tour guide and obviously very easy on the eye. The chemistry between them was off the scale and I loved how Carlos valued Lily for herself. A brilliant romance with a little spice to warm things up, this is a fun, fast-paced read.

Her teenage crush: better than a dream?🏖

4-4.5🌟stars
The plot here was great and the characters had interesting issues that stood out as unusual in the light, contemporary romance genre novels that I've read. I really liked the grounded reality presented by Lily's skin problems, and Carlos's personality change and financial issues stemming from around the time he lost his father. In a story that has its share of serendipity and lucky coincidences, these "flaws" made them relatable.

The thing that seemed least realistic, other than the coincidence of their quick reunion within hours of her arrival in Marbella, was that Lily does not pick up more Spanish during over a month in Spain! I mean, even very simple phrases like "I love you" in Spanish leave her stumped.🙄

It's light, it's fun with some sightseeing, it's got steam and sizzle. I enjoyed and recommend it for a nice, relaxed read.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Okay, so there are some issues with this, I found the writing style a little rudimentary, the dialogue felt unnatural (not because of the Spanish characters), there was a lot of telling not showing and sometimes there was showing and then unnecessarily telling anyway. However, I was invested. I thought the romance was cute and the sunny setting gave me the warm and fuzzies. The ending was so cringely cheesy, but I'm here for it. I enjoyed it.

What a sizzling page-turner. I absolutely loved Lily and Carlos's story (and the gorgeously dreamy Spanish settings). Olivia Spring is a new author to me and I can't wait to delve into her back catalogue of romance! If you are looking for a burst of sunshine with a touch of spice, some fabulous characters and laugh-out-loud comedy moments, this is it...

Another brilliant book by Olivia Spring.
Carlos was hot. Lily was so endearing and relatable. I was rooting for them the entire time. And that beach scene? Smoking!
Highly recommend for some laugh out loud moments, spice and enough sweetness to give you the warm and fuzzies.
