Gripping and engaging, I could barely put it down! The characters leapt off the page, the drama was riveting and I got excited trying to figure out what was actually happening, who was this "Itzik" character and what were his motivations? It also had a solid Jewish message at the end, that I liked and found thought provoking. I had particular suspicions (that I won't spoil for you) and was extremely gratified to find that I was right, though it didn't entirely tie up the way I had expected... This book deserves a much more descriptive review, but I'll end saying that it's one of the best books I've read in a long time!
This book is awesome! There's excitement, intrigue, plot twists, irony, and a great lesson! The characters are relatable and unforgettable. It's about two boys who grew up in Israel at different time periods. One of them, who is now a man, due to unfortunate events has chosen to follow a rebellious road. Their paths cross, and despite their differences, they are forced to work together to fight a greater evil. Highly recommended (because it's the best book ever).
