The ConFed has ruled the galactic quadrant for nearly two thousand years. During that time a relative peace has been kept by threat of force from their mighty fleet. But as with all things, their dominance must come to an end.
Now that the ConFed is crumbling and their fleet is withdrawing back to the Core Worlds, the strong are once again preying on the weak. In the border regions, trafficking rings have popped up alongside the refugee pipelines making the journey for new colonists a treacherous one.
Captain Jason Burke has learned of an especially brutal cartel operating within the Luuxir Border Region and is now intent on doing something about it. The cartel has been operating in the area unchecked, but Jason and the rest of Omega Force are about to change that.

I have enjoyed all the Omega Force books written by Joshua Dalzelle and I like this one as well. However, I believe all the other books came to a conclusion of each individual story arc. This is the exception. The book ended while it was still in its development phase. My only consolation is the fact that JD is a prolific writer and if history proves anything, I will not have to wait long for the next book. This series and the Terran Scout Fleet series have essentially merged and should be read in publication order to make the most sense. Space vigilantes take on Alien Trafficking Ring. This book had too many incomplete story arcs to be a good book. My suggestion, wait until the next one (or two) are published.

A confused mess
I enjoyed all the Omega Force books, but this one really feels like a rushed confused mess. It's also only barely half a book, as nothing gets resolved in the end, and We're left with not one but two - wait, actually three - cliffhangers. Or is that four? Because there's also something going on with Crusher. Yes, it's that kind of a book... it feels like Joshua Dalzelle wrote it without really knowing where he was going, and it's exactly where we end up by the end.

I was thoroughly surprised to see the release of the newest book in the series and snatched it up quickly. The story did not disappoint and it was good to see the crew getting back to what they do when they first started their crusades. It's especially interesting to see how things have evolved for all the crew members over the years, and them starting to understand that in time, things can't carry on the way they initially did. I'm especially intrigued about the mysterious and potential new antagonist for the series, and am anxious to see what comes next! As always, thank you again Mr Dalzelle. I've loved this series from Omega Rising and pray you do not tire of writing stories about the crew!

Sci-fi at it’s very best!
Joshua Dalzelle is a great author period. He has the ability to make a reader laugh or cry, love or hate. His books are reads that are hard to put down, almost impossible. In this book (Unleashed) along with the next (Aftershock) don’t gloss over the words he imparts from his Battlesynth’s, they will not only have you laughing until tears run from your eyes while giving you wisdom seldom found in Sci-fi books! I gave this book and Aftershock 5-stars, only because there is no way to give more. Enjoy!

Another great OF!
It's getting complicated in the world of Omega Force! Many players moving around the board and the OF crew are getting older.
Is funny that they would think that after they beat The Machine (for now) that they'd be able to jump right back into the Merc for hire gigs. Now with the situation with Lucky and Kage and a new unknown player, things have really gotten complicated.
If you love the Omega Force series then you'll read this book and the next and the next so on so forth bcz it is just that good a series!

As good as ever
Still continues to be a highly entertaining read
This time round they are all back together and doing what they do best, and trying to right the wrongs of the Galaxy
No real surprises, they do what they always do, but a couple of sub plots are obviously bound to become less sub and more primary in future books
The next book is an obvious continuation of the ending of this one and hopefully not a rehash of a similar scenario of an earlier book
Still continues to be a highly entertaining read

Joshua Dalzelle Delivers!
This is the best military science fiction adventure series hands down! Humor, adventure, technical & science descriptions, military intelligence operations, and outstanding dialog keeps me coming back with eager anticipation over and over. I can’t wait for the next book and also the next of Mr. Dalzelle’s new spinoff series - Terran Scout Fleet! Great stuff!!

Dark days coming?
Omega Force is finding itself potentially in deeper danger than usual now that the support & backup that was available when they were working with Mok is no longer something that they can count on (or even get). While Lucky is closer to his old self the rest of the team is finding it difficult to get themselves back into the mindset they had before they started getting used to having support.
I guess we’ll see how things go in the next series.

Outstanding book.
Waited so long for this story to be released. It was definitely worth the wait. Really great book. I have listened to heavy metal so many times I can quote most of it, now waiting for their next adventure. Joshua Dalzelle is a master story teller. Love his books....

Great read...
I have enjoyed all of the books in the series of omega force. I'm so glad to see lucky back in the fold with all of the rest of the guys. I love the interaction between all the main characters. I like that they fight for the good guys and justice. As always I can't wait for the next installment!

The team are back and trying to help Lucky, as he continues his recovery from his time as Seven. Taking on what seems to be a small trafficking operation, turns out to be so much more. Out of practice and maybe past there prime, they try to stay in the fight and save the day. Good to have the team back, this looks to be the start of a new story line for the next few books.

Book had no direction
This has been a good series but the last couple of books have just been filler. This book especially. To much rehashing previous books that have nothing to do with this story. It feels like this was made into book just to put something out. You could skip to the last 2 chapters and not miss anything important up to that point.

Hungary for more.
As always, this slap happy crew are up to mischief and mayhem with their escapades, as they carry out their good intentions. Whilst begrudgingly not accepting help, resources or a good word from anyone, not even each other, they are a crew you just fall in love with over and over again. Keep the books coming.

For a series that has survived so long, the latest instalment plays superbly as it contrasts our heroes earnest desire to get back to their roots with their realisation that they are older and slower. It’s a surprisingly astute observation of mid-life crisis underpinning another comfortably familiar romp.

A botched mission?
Jason takes on more than they an chew as usual. And this mission impossible takes some hits on his ship and crew. Humans are out and about with the knowledge of the ancients incorporated into their tech making them a new player in the galaxy. Omega Force is back!
I was so excited when this book hit my queue! Its awesome! But now I'm all worked up for the next one. As always it was a wild and bumpy ride and I really feel bad for the Phoenix that poor ship.

Phenomenal
As always, this series did not disappoint. Omega Force is aging, and their youth and wildness is being overtaken by old age and realization of mortality and regret. Any aging warrior can relate.

Fantastic
I've been waiting so long for a new book I was going crazy but you made up for it with a great book but p!ease don't take so long for the next one even if it's the end. I absolutely love the story and the way it's been given and look forward to what's next.

always over too soon
Would love for them to be longer. Been a fan since the first came out, and I think of all these years reading these books how invested I still am in the characters and the story. Always look forward to an omega force book. Hope they never end.

The unstoppable Force
Great addition to the series, and another change in direction that will keep the reader on their toes. I have a feeling that Obsidian and Jason will be crossing paths.

Another Fun Read
It’s amusing how they get themselves into trouble and then out of the frying pan they created for them selves. And then there are the underling back stories that set you up to anticipate the next iteration in their saga. A fun afternoon read.

Getting better and better!
More intrigue, more characters introduced, galactic stability still threatened but there's light at the end of the tunel! And Burke's crew is figuring out they are not as young as they once were... runnin' and gunnin' ain't what it used to be! They are becoming family!

The plots thicken
This series has been great from book 1. No “neat resolutions”, so many issues left hanging. The players popping up have been unexpected. I cannot wait to find out what happens next.

This was good book in the series. The team is feeling their age at times. While being wiser, they have been not realizing that they are older and slightly slower. They deal with these changes with their own panache.
