I have been married to the same wonderful girl for the past 48 years. We have two grown children and two wonderful grandkids. And while although DJ and Maggie are now together in heaven, we still have Shelties in our family. Sunnie and Scout. At this time there are four books in this series. Although this is a very poorly written novel, I enjoyed it because of the suspense in the story line and the 2 dog characters, DJ and Maggie. DJ and Maggie are 2 Sheltie collies who can think and speak like human beings. They are called guardians and they serve as a type of guardian angel although they don't have all the supernatural powers of angels and experience the normal physical symptoms of dogs. They are sent to people who are having difficulties in their lives and need both protection and spiritual guidance. This book has an intense focus on preaching the message of Christian salvation and also on the spiritual warfare between good and evil in our world. The 2 dogs, DJ and Maggie, kept me going through the book and I will probably read the next in the series to find out what happens next to them. If you don't like dogs, I don't recommend the book. Also, I liked the Christian message but it is very strong and is definitely 'preachy/'

One of the most poorly written/edited books I have ever read. Quotation marks in the wrong places, words misspelled. Grammatical errors galore. However, having said that, I got hooked on the story line! About 2 dogs, who talk, who are guardians. The gospel story gets woven in a lot, maybe too much. The story line a bit cheesy and predictable. But - there is something that keeps drawing you back to finish the book.
This is the first in a trilogy, and yes, I want to read the next two! This one was published by AuthorHouse (self-publisher?). Perhaps the next two will have a little editing help. If not, I expect I will enjoy them as well.
The next two books are: Lost in the City (2009) and Storm over Whitworth (2011)

I just read this book from the library that I thought you would be interested in reading. The author has been active in Christian Ministry for over 28 years. It's a romance mystery where two people's (a sister and brother) life is turned upside down and they find out where true help comes from. Two dogs will help them find their way back to the path of God's love.

I liked the premise of this book so I gave it four stars, but the writing was pretty over-the-top dramatic and there were tons of distracting typos in the book. It seemed like something that was taken from the early 1900's and semi updated for today!

The best thing about this book is the cute picture of the Shelties on the front cover. Stop there.
