Growing up, Chelsea’s life was anything but good until her nonni stepped in and removed her from the abuse she endured on a daily basis. A quiet woman, she preferred to be behind the scenes, which is why her position as Gia’s maid was a perfect job opportunity for her. Her past also enabled her to see what was happening to Gia behind closed doors during her first marriage. In short, she saved her best friend’s life and moved to the clubhouse because of the threats made against her for helping.
She’s now entrenched in the club, part of the family because of her association with Gia, but she still feels at loose ends. When she gets the chance to do what she’s always dreamed of, teach Noah since he’s being homeschooled, she realizes she’s found her true life calling.
Then she gets seriously injured and Noah is kidnapped while in her care, sending her into a tailspin, a place where she’s unsure why she’s still here since it’s obvious she’s useless, just like her stepmother told her all those years ago. Not even Canyon, one of the members she’s taken an interest in, can get through to that cement wall she’s built around herself.
Canyon’s early years were brutal as well, but during his military tenure, he developed a solid work ethic, discipline, and the knowledge he’d likely never have someone special to call his own. Until he joined the PWMC as a prospect and met Chelsea. Her quiet demeanor calls to him and he finds himself gravitating toward her while he battles his own demons. The day that changed everything has left him wondering how to break through the walls Chelsea has now erected because he’s come to realize everything he dealt with was for this purpose; to slay her dragons.
The club saved him, now it’s his turn to save her. From herself. But he’ll take all the help he can get from his brothers, their old ladies, and even the little ones to accomplish his goal. Make her his in every way humanly possible.
Suitable for ages 18+ due to adult content, language, and situations.
Lover of words. Author of "perfectly imperfect romance". Since starting this journey in August 2016, I've published eight books, two children's books, and have been part of two different coloring books. In short, I'm fulfilling a lifelong dream and would love to have you join me!
For much of this series Chelsea has been around, BFF to Gia and always around helping where needed. In this one she's still getting better when she was hurt while taking care of Noah. Things were challenging for Canyon at the start, but I liked that he still spent time with Chelsea and looked at things like a 50 First Dates thing and spent time letting Chelsea get to know him. The time that they were able to spend alone while getting her a dog was great! It was a way for them to really cement their relationship and come back to the group a couple firm in their relationship, not that anyone would have given them grief about things. It was nice to see them happy at the end, exploring option for their future.
Chelsea’s Knight is the eighth installment in Darlene Tallman’s Poseidon’s Warriors MC series. In it, she focuses on the romantic journey of Chelsea and Canyon. Readers met them as supporting characters in previous installments. Both Chelsea and Canyon have emotional scars. Chelsea’s trauma began as a young child at the hands of a stepmother and stepbrother. Canyon’s trauma began from his youth living in his parents’ dysfunctional home. Both suffer from feelings of being unworthy. Will they overcome these feelings and misconceptions? Will their emotional wounds heal? Can they find happiness? To discover what their romantic journey looks like you must read this book.
Ms. Tallman does an outstanding job with this biker romance. I also enjoyed this character driven plot line. Her talent in creating multi-dimensional characters, rich dialog (both conversational and monologues), the use of a dual POV, and vivid scenes contribute to moving this character-driven plot along. I appreciated that she had the lead characters in there are strong and independent; yet, vulnerable. Ms. Tallman includes a small cast of secondary characters that help readers glean the inner workings of their MC family. Ms. Tallman chooses to use the Epilogue as a tool to set up the next book in the series. In this case, she focuses on Orion and Roane; thus, enticing her readers.
Another fantastic addition to the Poseidon's Warriors.
Canyon and Chelsea's story is a slow burn, which adds to their chemistry.
Both Canyon and Chelsea come from trouble backgrounds leaving them both with a tone of baggage, but since Noah's kidnapping and Chelsea's attack her memories have gone missing, and she has even forgot about that she had becoming close to, but Canyon isn't prepared to give up, he will remember him and he will claim her as his.
You can tell Darlene has put alot of thought and research into the topic of service dogs, PTSD, Brain traumas, and epilepsy, and it shows.
This story isn't as dramatic as the other books, but it still has enough going on that makes it a super read.
This story is so special, not that all of the stories weren’t but this one hits the heart in a special way. I’ve been around vets for a long time. As a nurse who first worked with children and then with Vets including my own father I know what war, any war can do to a vet. That why I’m guess I love all these guys because they’re all woven from the same thread. What Canyon, Poseidon, Trident, Atlas, Loki, Brooks, Specks and all the others have to endure is nothing short of a miracle. They are strong, brave and true. And then they have dogs. My weakness. And the dogs are also, brave , loyal and true. I hope Chelsea and Canyon have lots of kids, whether adopted, or by surrogate. They both deserve to have their own family. Thanks again.
I think a lot of this story was told in the last book so it left a big absence in this one. The characters were not as well rounded as the others and something just seemed to be missing for me. It became a simple romance just based loosely around an MC. I like this author’s work as it’s an easy read for me after a migraine or if I haven’t been sleeping, something I can pick up and put down but doesn’t need a lot of concentration. This book in the series seems to be the weakest but we can’t always expect things to be the same all the time. This one really needs to be read in order to get the full story.
Could Canyon be anymore perfect? He is the whole package!
I absolutely loved this next installment of the Poseidon Warriors. Every book added to the series I fall in love with.
All the characters come across as strong, stubborn, caring, funny and loyal.
The stories about each couple snap you up as soon as you start reading and keep you captivated until the end, when you go a page further to see if there is more and then have a sad face because it's done.
Chelsea has been the behind-the-scenes girl since the cruelty dealt her by her classmates in middle school as well as her stepmother and stepbrother. By hiding, she could ignore the pain. When she worked as Gianna's maid, she recognized her pain too. Now that they are both free, she is trying to be her own person. When she is badly injured on an innocent excursion, she doesn't give up. Neither does Canyon, a newer member of the club and a tattoo artist at their shop. They have their hurdles but there is an HEA for them too.
Like the book. Good characters. Love the service dog. Love that it allows the series to progress but doesn't have a big influence outside of the couple. Does feel a bit disconnected/disjointed through the first half, as if they are going they the motions but you don't feel immediate connection to the characters. But as they become more of a couple, that corrects and then the story just flows. That's just my opinion though, and that is what lost the one star.
Darlene thank you for another amazing story in this series and thank you for for touching on subjects that so many in society see as different because they either don't know the facts of why the person is they are. My heart broke for Chelsea and I loved how Canyon never gave up on her or them. When they each shared their pasts I was in tears. I laughed my butt off at Cooper adopting Canyon. I can't wait to see Orion woo Roane and her girls.
After Noah was kidnapped, Canyon and Chelsea were hurt their lives changed. Once again Chelsea had a brain injury and could not remember but Canyon, was determined she would heal, be his old lady and Chelsea would have the family she deserved. PWMc is different but the love they have for each other is more important. Once again the author gives the reader a beautiful love story.
I love MC Roms but I’m a staunch feminist, which makes me grind my teeth a lot. But there are a few very good authors out there that manage to bring the Man’s/club world across without making women less. Darlene Tallman is one of those authors, she brings her female characters to life with a strength and heart that stands tall beside their males and still fit into the Club world. Very enjoyable reads.
The men of the Poseidon Warriors MC know what they want and go for it. Sometimes it takes a little longer when things go sideways. Canyon and Chelsea finally found each other and are starting the future they deserve. The evil that caused Chelsea to have her medical issues and trauma has been dealt with past and present.
From the minute I started the first book in this series, I fell in love with this group! Each book cements that love!
Canyon & Chelsea's story is full of healing, hope, heat & heart. I love these two lots! And the dogs in this series are always so full of personality, too. 💚 😁
I enjoyed every bit of this book from start to finish. Thumbs up!!
I've read all these books in 3 days! They we're that addicting. I live every single one and in can wait to read what's next! Poseidon's Warriors are an amazing bunch of men who live their woman behind belief. Keep up the amazing work you do Darlene! Can't wait to see what happens with Orion and Roane
I feel like it's nor finished like there should have been more about her past or sumthing. Idk... I do have a couple unanswered questions about it. Overall, its pretty good. Its funny in a few spots. I which I could c what her dog looks like lol it flowed pretty good but still there was a few spots I thought should have expanded a little bit.
Life has really dealt Chelsea a bad hand. Then along comes Canyon, a beautiful alpha male who wants to protect, heal and love her. We should all be so lucky to have a supporting, protective, loving family like the Poseidon Warriors MC. Oh, cannot forget the dogs too!
Awesome book! I love this whole series! Its got a little heartbreak a little laugh and a whole lot of family and love! Throw in hot bikers and sassy ladies plus babies you got a hit
This was another read it in one sitting book. I couldn’t put it down. Chelsea is the sweetest, most beautiful soul. Not everyone can have a perfect upbringing but you can overcome adversaries.
I am a big Poseidon's Warrior MC fan, but I'm a even bigger fan of it's author Ms Darlene😍 Together or separately, writing with her talented co author Mis Liberty! they are force to be reckoned with!!
I love to read about the ex military guys and the fact their not one percenters. Everyone has a past, but when that past comes back to haunt her, her and Canyon are hurt in the process. Excellent read. HEA.
This is amazing. Canyon goes through a lot and doesn't give up on Chelsea even tho she lost her memory. When you know you know and you don't give up ever!! Absolutely love these warriors and their ol' ladies.
I just love this series so much. The men are so honorable and alpha. The women just don’t even realize how strong they are. Canyon really just goes above and beyond to win Chelsea’s heart - with quite a bit stacked against him. This family just makes me so happy!
Yeah!!!! I’m so glad Chelsea found her knight in Canyon. These 2 are so very sweet together. I loved their story and I hope we get to see them fulfill one of their dreams in future books. Fantastic story with some heartbreak but don’t worry - the HEA is amazing!
Not your typical bad boy biker book. This has a sweet side to it. Canyon was strong and possessive but so sweet. Chelsea was sweet and timid. Loved it m
