I‘m sorry but has this book ever seen an editor??
It‘s about ADHD in WOMEN and the symptoms in children read „He does..“, „He is..“ etc.
One of my favourite sentences that summarizes the general quality: „Here are the main symptoms of ADHD in adults are:“
Babe what, please I get you probably have ADHD yourself and it‘s hard to focus but let someone proof-read next time.

Generally this is mostly common information about ADHD in - well - anyone really and the chapters that supposedly talk about women specifically are not really informative?
The only difference that is really being talked about is that women mostly lack the hyperactivity-part of the disorder, which is not even completely true because it‘s more that the hyperactivity is directed inwards.

Idk this book doesn‘t really strike me as professional and trustworthy and I didn‘t really learn anything more than I got from online research.

Read this alongside a fam member who was recently diagnosed. This is an excellent little book for those just learning about their adhd. I have read a ton of adhd materials, and this takes the cake for adult women for sure. It includes readable/understandable scientific material on what types of meds are out there and how they work as well as diet/exercise/supplement changes, etc. It doesn't pit them against each other but shows the science of how they complement each other and can help in different ways, which is so encouraging. There are so many practical tips on each area of life as well as PARENT TRAINING. Instead of a book for parents on how to make their neurodiverse child more agreeable, a book for parents/teachers to take action to help the child where they need it. Top marks from me!

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is often thought of as a child’s disease but it affect adults as well. Women have so much on their plates and having to deal with ADHD is another layer of stress. The author gives strategies for dealing with it and has a section on time management that is important.

DNF

Found it frustrating there were so many references to ‘fixing’ adhd. Did not find it helpful.

DNF at 10%, the book didn't seem to have been proof read, to the point I could barely understand it.
