Rate this book
Back to Earth is a confessional poetry book that tells the story of undertaking the journey from loss and heartache to reclaiming one's truth and sovereignty. The book is divided into four chapters (Falling, Seeding, Rooting, and Sprouting), each reflecting the different phases of personal transformation. In Back to Earth, Juma joins the discussion of women's reproductive rights and the importance of bringing mental health to the front line. Let this book be a reminder that you too can transform your deepest wounds into your greatest power.

Everything about this book, from the words, drawings, to the paper used is a piece of art. Ana Juma was able to capture a life experience in a very raw, vulnerable and authentic way. Poetry is hard, most feel disconnected, but not Back to Earth. The words and the story line are so captivating, you'll find it hard to put the book down to take a break. I know I did!

Page by page I fell in love with the poetry, the words, the illustrations and the passion of love.

It's a beautiful book, accompanying a heart break, new finding love but especially ones who seeks themselves after they got disconnected.
