When Sergeant Daniel Butler met Major Claire Kirkland in the heat of the Iraqi War, it was love at first sight. After a harsh attack on the base Daniel was hurt and he swore to find her after their tours ended. Little did Claire know he meant every word until he showed up in her office with a dinner invitation. The attraction was there and soon the whirlwind stateside romance began. It was cut short by his next deployment and her heart broke watching him leave for conditions she knew all to well. Retired from service, Claire continued her work and all the while she worried about the man she loved. Claire hoped that the bond they created would bring him home while Daniel in the midst of war longed to be in her arms. Will Daniel survive his dangerous missions to take command of their passion once again?A mini book for the romance lover that is always on the go! It fits your purse for a quick but steamy read!!
Awesome read. If you are a fan of military romance reads with some erotic spice thrown into the mix I recommend you add this one to your collection. Great storyline one of those you can read many times and it will be just like the first.
"When Love Commands" by Dahlia Rose was a sweet romance between Daniel and Claire, who both were in the military. Claire helped Daniel after he was hurt during the war, and he did all he could to find her again. They were able to spend some time together, and then Daniel was deployed again. I liked how they were able to keep in contact through email. I loved how Daniel acted when Claire gave him some news. Dahlia did a great job with giving just enough information to understand how people in the military keep in contact with their loved ones. The ending was super cute and had me smiling like crazy.
This is a beautiful love story about Daniel and Claire who meet during Iraqi War. A sweet love story. It is a short story but very romantic. I enjoyed the read. If you like Daliha Rose stories you will love this one!
I loved this story because it was honest and fresh. No games or high drama. Love at its best with a very complete happy ending. Love when people just love and say it often and show it in words and action.
This was a quick, whirlwind of a story. Claire and Daniel meet in Iraq, spend two weeks together after she retires and then it's an HEA. The explanation given for why everything happened so quickly as extremely plausible.
😐Uhh..so okay...I'm really struggling to find the words here. This story felt like it wasn't written by a seasoned author. Characters not fleshed out well. Sex scene..way too quick & raunchy for my taste. Just ok..😑
Being a military brat, I could relate to this story. I went from dying to swooning over the intense romantic connection. An entertaining and satisfying story. One comment thought -- please clean up the nuisance typos.
Dahlia Rose did it again! This was an awesome love story! It kept me on edge. I didn't want anything bad to happen to either one of them. It kept the pages turning! Perfectly written!
I really did not like the female main character. She seemed much stronger at the onset of the story, but as it progressed she seemed to become a weepy wimp, lacking in strength and the courage to face the difficult facts of life's events. I found this to be at odds with her military training and experiences as a military doctor (one in charge).
Yeah I enjoyed this novella, still need to clean up the editing but a very good read with that happy ever after glow. I'm enjoying this author's writing. I recommend.
