Welcome back to Lone Peak Ranch, a miraculous place where heroes rediscover their hope and heart. Jack Moses and DJ Bannon have found their solace with the help of the magic surrounding Lone Mountain. Now it is time for THE THIRD to discover her own.
Natalie Andolini: She’s a decorated but disgraced Air Force pilot fighting the heavy heels of Washington to get back in uniform and back where she belongs: in the air. Will the invitation to Lone Peak Ranch help her, or cast her further down into the muck of bureaucratic red tape and political infighting?
Luke Harlow: He’s an Oregon cop wrestling with the most profound mishap of his career. Wandering across the country on a quest to find peace and personal reconciliation, will Lone Peak be a brief stop on his sojourn, or will some unseen hand hold him in place long enough to confront his demons and heal the wounds of his past?
C. G. Cooper is the USA TODAY and AMAZON BESTSELLING author of the CORPS JUSTICE novels, several spinoffs and a growing number of stand-alone novels.
One of his novels, CHAIN OF COMMAND, won the 2020 James Webb Award presented by the Marine Heritage Foundation for its portrayal of the United States Marine Corps in fiction. Cooper doesn't chase awards, but this one was special.
Cooper grew up on a steady diet of Dungeons & Dragons and the travels of a Navy family.
Upon graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Foreign Affairs, Cooper was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and went on to serve six years as an infantry officer. C. G. Cooper's final Marine duty station was in Nashville, Tennessee, where he fell in love with the laid-back lifestyle of Music City.
His first published novel, BACK TO WAR, came out of a desire to link back to his time in the Marine Corps. That novel, written as a side project, spawned many follow-on novels, several exciting spinoffs, and catapulted Cooper's career.
Cooper lives just south of Nashville with his wife, three children, and their German shorthaired pointer, Liberty, who's become a popular character in the Corps Justice novels.
C.G. Cooper continues to amaze. Natalie and Luke are the beneficiaries of the magic this time. Natalie is fighting to be allowed to fly after being vilified by a Major who gets thrills out of destroying careers and lives. Luke is a cop trying to put his life together. The magic of Lone Peak augmented by Daniel Briggs shows the compassion and selflessness of Natalie come to the rescue of Luke and the ranch heals them and now she will pass that healing to the next one. This is a true must read. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
When I started the series I was not sure about stepping down from some great stories, considerable action and a team of people with whom I’d become very familiar and comfortable. I was especially concerned about the switch to a new genre. It wasn’t a switch but rather a compounding of two together. I love the mix and still filling the story of new people along with the team we’ve known through Corps Justice. Started this book this morning, finished it tonight!
Another C.G.Cooper work of art. Natalie Andolini, a decorated A.F. pilot and Luke Harlow, a troubled Police Officer come to the Lone Peak Resort to discover peace. Natalie is discovered there by a corrupt A.F. Officer who is trying to discredit her heroic feat. They also run into a crooked Sheriff who is covering up a drug and sex ring. Daniel Briggs and the crew make an appearance to help them. Who will be in The Fourth?0
As I started to learn the characters I realized I was already hating this Air Force Major Whitmore and I served twenty years in the Air Force. This guy doesn’t deserve to be a garbage collector. Finally the governor saw him for what he was. Cooper really drew up a horses ass of character in Whitmore, but unfortunately these types are out there and in the service. Yet Cooper allows Whitmore to redeem himself in the end. Enjoyed the book. 5
Cooper has written the third book in the Lone Peak series, taking us from DC to Montana. A very vindictive Air Force staff officer, a crooked Sheriff, a big time singing star, and some really wonderful regular folks find out just how magical Lone Peak can be.
This series is amazing.. it touches the heart and ask the question.. what it is to be human and dealing with everything it can throw at you and keep going .. for sure a recommended read
Another great book from this author in a great series. This story will get you wanting more from start to finish. This series just keeps getting better. I’ve already preordered the next book in this amazing series. Thank you Carlos.
I do love C. G.Coopers books. I am always pleased when a new book is released, as I know before I open the cover that it is going to be a great read. If he wrote the label on a can of beans, it would be the best label out there.
Another hit for Mr Cooper. A Portland police officer on sabbatical and an Air Force pilot who is stripped of her licensce to fly meet at Lone Peaks ranch. The adventure and the healing makes this a great read
Got sucked in to Cooper's books by the Corp's Justice series which has been a great ride. After that I've been pleasantly surprised by his stories outside of that genre. Everything he's put out has been thoroughly entertaining. Keep it coming Carlos!
The stories and characters get better and better. You must start with the first and read them all. They are stories of salvation and heroes who encounter the magic of Lone Peak READ THEM! Makes you believe in miracles!
Loved this book. This series is a 180 from the Corps series, almost seems like a different author. But, C.G. Cooper has done a great job on a right turn.
C.G. Cooper continues to spin stories that engage the reader and provide a window into tormented souls yet provide them personal redemption through the Lone Peaks Ranch. Here people are provided a means to rewrite their lives and work through issues, personal and professional. And then they pay it forward - now to the fourth.
