The series follows Leah and Jacob Barringer, Jayce Kincaid, and Helena Beecham as their lives become intertwined, taking them all over the Alaskan interior and northern United States.

I'm not a huge church/religion person, so I was a little leery of this book at first. Although Christianity is a huge theme, it isn't shoved down the reader's throat. Engaging, emotional, and action-packed the whole way through. A very good series.

I picked up The Alaskan Quest because of the cover and it had a trilogy inside. The story of the people who made Alaska their home in 1915 and what they endured was amazing to me. I admire their spirit but know I would not have remained so upbeat if I had been there at that time!

One could read any one of the books out of order and still enjoy the story.

For the most part I did enjoy this series. I honestly didn’t finish it tho. In my mind the book was pretty much over when the guys were rescued and came home. Also, The female characters are a bit over the top in my opinion. Leah and Helaina are both very childish. There’s also a rape, so reader beware. I had higher hopes for this series than it was able to meet, but it wasn’t a terrible read or complete waste of time.

I had a difficult time reading about the attack. If you are familiar with or have had a similar experience , please be aware . The author does include the issues of letting go of the bitterness and anger . Forgiveness is eventually found . However , I personally stay away from books like this because of how they affect me .

Three books in one about the trials and tribulations of living in the Alaskan wilderness in the 1800's. All three books contain the same characters and flow beautifully together. I love the emphasis of depending on and trusting their faith in God.

For me (I lived in Alaska 5 years) this was an awesome combination of Christian beliefs, AK history, pioneer spirit and real life day to day happenings.

Wow...it was good a book. Really made you think about how you would respond to God in similar situations. Makes you want to grow closer to the Lord. Amazing talent. Only wished that I had read Yukon Quest first.

Good book, but Peterson is too wordy and adds in too many sub-plots. Was glad to get to finish the whole 6 book series.
