Hiroki Endo (遠藤浩輝) is a Japanese mangaka born on 1970 in Akita Prefecture. He graduated from Musashino Art University. He is best known for his science-fiction series Eden: It's an Endless World, which has been translated into English by Dark Horse.
An excellent action scene opens this volume, revealing Aleetheia's enhanced abilities. The investigation into Wilhem turns out to be just as dangerous as expected, so much so that Miriam fears for her life and becomes even closer to Eliah. The second part focuses on Mana: we learn more about her childhood and also about Gina, her deceased older sister. Maya, totally linked to the colloids, makes her a proposition.
The tension builds slowly, and the revelations are tragic and touching. Another great volume in this incredible series
I'm definitely on a binge with this series now that I have access to it. I thought I could stretch it out, but there's just no way. I like having all the ideas fresh in my mind, since there are many. The final chapters in this volume pack one of the biggest emotional wallops of the story so far and leave things on a dreamy note. I love how the series can move from action to sci-fi to drama to comedy to thriller so seamlessly, and this volume is split between a nostalgic, painful reflection on the past, a strangely beautiful yet unsettling vision of the future of humanity, and the white-knuckle evasion of its steady, often violent progression. Only five volumes left? Geez.
This was book 12 in Hiroki Endo's long running series. It had been a long time since I read volume 11 so it took me awhile to get back into the story. I have to say the last 2 volumes have not been nearly as strong as the previous ones. At this point I am not sure if I will continue to read this series.
I thought this was an interesting look at Gina's background and how she came to be. Idk if it's cause I'm a girl, but I get so upset when I read about two people who were in love and they just get ripped apart.
