I picked up a copy of this at a library sale. Not new to horses, I'm still always looking to add to my collection and you never know what pearls you will pick up from reading information you think you already know.

I was really happy with this, although any horse person knows its impossible to be all encompassing because there is just so much to horses - and the authors/editors make that point too. Nonetheless, it's a good overview of many important aspects of owning a horse or working with and looking after horses. Some of the information from the edition I read is a little bit dated now, I'm not sure if there are newer editions available so to any reader new to horses I encourage them to look for something published more recently to add to their knowledge.
