Amazing Agent Luna is the story of Luna, the perfect secret agent. A girl grown in a lab from the finest genetic material, she has been trained since her birth fifteen years ago to be the U.S. government's ultimate espionage weapon. But now she is given an assignment that will test her abilities to the utmost ― high school. In order to uncover an evil plot, the government sends Luna to a prominent high school to pose as a student. Luna's training has left her completely unprepared to handle the stresses and strains of ordinary teenage relationships ― making friends, creating rivals, and having her first big crush on bad boy Jonah, the son of her arch-nemesis, Count Von Brucken! Making matters worse, Luna's "father" is the overly warm-and-fuzzy Dr. Andy and her "mother" is the always business-like, unemotional Control.

I am glad I continued on with Amazing Agent Luna since the third manga is where the story really picked up for me.
A bit more sure of herself at school Luna is really coming out as her own character. Readers were finally treated to a bit of Luna's early years and how Control felt about situations inside the facility where Luna grew up. As Luna is growing more into her own person she must learn to make hard choices and this becomes very apparent as Luna is forced to choose between her mission and her conscious at one point.
Of course the story ended on a cliff hanger and volume 4 is not free on the Nook. I still do not like the manga enough to buy it. After checking the local library I was sad to see they do not have volume 4 but with more digging I found an omnibus that is volume 4 and 5 combined so I ordered that.
An excellent cliffhanger ending. :) definitely makes me want to read the next volume. Control and Dr. Andy seem to be getting closer and its totally adorable. :) nice simple artwork. And the owl thing was creative and cute. But my favorite part of this volume was getting to see a bit of Luna's childhood.
This volume was lots of fun, but actually managed to sneak a bit of darkness in among the fluff. & I'm grateful for it. :D it actually added quite a bit of depth.
A wonderful volume in a wonderful series. :) highly recommended.
Good black and white artwork. Reads Japanese style, but the panels can be isolated. English is smooth. Luna is engaging in more violence than she feels comfortable with. New teachers will show up. Principal may recover.
Another decent continuation of the story. It's just too unbelievable in places to continue reading the story. Wish it had something that could hold it together for me.
So we spent the last two volumes of the series focusing on Luna adjusting to going to a regular high school, now we are focusing on Luna's case and the mysterious goings on at the school.
Still loving this series. Can't wait to keep reading it tonight.
It has more action and drama than the second book, and ends on a neat twist. It still keeps itself gentle and emotionally focused though too. Good middle volume.
