Un po’ frettoloso e superficiale, avrei preferito venisse approfondito e trattato con la giusta attenzione il passato di entrambi i protagonisti, così anche il loro innamoramento. Però è una lettura leggera che va benissimo anche così per passare qualche ora in questo periodo di feste.

Una divertente e spassosa commedia, Greyson dello scrooge ha poco o niente, anzi, in tanti momenti è veramente adorabile, soprattutto con le nipotine di Allie 😍; ciò non toglie che anche lui avrà qualcosa da farsi perdonare, se vuole il lieto fine con la sua Allie...

You would think that because it says 'CEO' and 'scrooge' he would be an asshole (you know, because of the stereotypical combination this makes in fiction) but, even though he seems stoic and typical-romance-CEO at first, he's actually very playful and kinda unserious. It was refreshing to read about.
Allie and Greyson were cute and silly together and he was a natural with her kids from the beginning. Their story was sweet, I had a nice time reading it ♡.

Uno scrooge a Sunrise Valley è una storia tanto ma tanto dolce, la definirei una vera coccola per il cuore. E in più è una lettura perfettamente ideale per questo periodo natalizio, e io sono sicura che potrebbe tenervi compagnia con molto piacere.
Allie Brooks è tutto ciò che Greyson Blair non è: Tenera, divertente e vivace.
Vive facendo tre lavori che l’aiutano a mantenere due piccole bambine meravigliose.

La scrittura è accattivante, scorrevole e non risulta mai noiosa. Io l’ho trovata una lettura davvero completa, con tratti divertenti, emozionanti, spicy. Dove l’atmosfera natalizia non manca e si percepisce vividamente. Mi ha preso così tanto. Sono davvero felicissima di averlo letto..E se anche voi avete voglia di una tenerissima storia d’amore ambientata durante le feste natalizie, questa non potete lasciarla perdere.

Se amate le letture natalizie piene di buoni sentimenti, raccontate con semplicità e con sullo sfondo le mille lucine colorate dell’albero di Natale, questo è sicuramente il libro adatto a voi. Con Uno Scrooge a Sunrise Valley conosciamo una nuova autrice che pur avendo scritto una storia dove non c’è alcun colpo di scena né grandi scossoni emotivi ha il merito di essere una di quelle letture piacevoli e rilassanti che tanto amo in questi periodi dell’anno. Sono talmente stressata alla fine di ogni anno che leggere storie simili ha su di me un effetto davvero rilassante. La storia si svolge in un piccolo paesino a nord dello stato di New York dove tutti si conoscono e si ha quasi l’impressione di far parte di un’unica grande famiglia.
Qui vive Alora, da tutti chiamata Allie, una splendida ragazza di ventitré anni che si è fatta carico delle figlie della sorella morta qualche anno prima in un incidente d’auto. Non ha tanti grilli per la testa Allie, non ne ha né il tempo né le energie visto che fa tre lavori diversi per dare alle bambine tutto il necessario. Ma quando a Sunrise Valley arriva il burbero Greyson, anche Allie inizia a pensare che forse anche lei ha diritto a qualcosa di bello. Il loro primo incontro è alquanto divertente, Allie pensa di non rivederlo più ma, come sempre accade in questo tipo di storie, i due si rincontreranno e lavoreranno insieme alla ristrutturazione di una vecchia villa.
Grayson, si è recato a Sunrise valley con uno scopo preciso quello di mettere a nuovo una vecchia villa ereditata da una prozia di cui non ricordava nemmeno l’esistenza. Non ha nessuna voglia di perdere più tempo del necessario prima di ritornare alla sua vita asettica di sempre. Poi, rivede la ragazza conosciuta appena arrivato nel paesino e le sue priorità iniziano a cambiare giorno dopo giorno.
Insomma, come avrete capito la trama è abbastanza scontata ma i dialoghi fra i due protagonisti e la possibilità di leggere cosa pensano grazie al doppio POV rendono la lettura scorrevole e divertente. Le bambine poi, portano nelle lettura quel pizzico di commozione mentre le scene che coinvolgono il resto della famiglia di Allie strappano più di qualche risata. Quindi sì, lettura decisamente consigliata per questo periodo dell’anno.

No, non lo so. Non ho la più pallida idea di come fa a fare tutto quello che fa, e senza mai lamentarsi. È un’eroina. E adesso, è la mia eroina.
Ben trovati Magnetici, ecco una di quelle storie natalizie che è riuscita a strapparmi un sorriso e un poco di serenità.
In una piccola cittadina dove tutti conoscono tutto di ognuno arriva il grande uomo di affari che ha ereditato da una prozia una casa proprio lì. Greyson, appunto, dopo un sopralluogo decide di sistemarla e venderla e per farlo si fa aiutare da Allora, Allie per tutti. Insieme la sistemeranno al meglio, ma qualcosa oltre il lavoro scatterà. Allora ha una sola regola non far avvicinare troppo gli estranei alle sue figlie, ma qui sbaglierà e la delusione sarà dietro l’angolo… forse.
Una storia che si legge in maniera veloce, ma che nonostante la trama molto semplice, è ricca di emozioni.
Allie è una donna che ha sacrificato tutto per amore della famiglia e Greyson anche se vuole apparire duro e freddo, alla fine è solo un uomo ferito e con un passato e un'esperienza ingombrante.
I dialoghi come le descrizioni sono ben articolati, consoni ai personaggi e le scene hot non sono eccessive né poche.
Insomma preparatevi a conoscere questa cittadina e i suoi personaggi e fatevi travolgere dalla magia del Natale, una storia originale anche se non sembrerebbe.

HO LETTERALMENTE AMATO E DIVORATO QUESTO LIBRO!
Letto in solo una settimana, ho adorato il doppio pov, MOLTISSIMO. È un romance bello, divertente e leggero, da leggere proprio con spensieratezza ma accompagnato da momenti di riflessione e tristezza.
Mi piace il modo in cui la scrittura scorre in modo molto veloce, senza stancare mai. Ho sempre avuto la curiosità di continuare e sapere cosa sarebbe successo e il capitolo alternato tra Allie e Greyson ha fatto la sua parte.
L'epilogo, che dire, finalmente un epilogo come piace a me! In cui effettivamente ti fanno leggere che cosa succede in seguito, DUE VOLTE! Ebbene si, l'epilogo si svolge 8 mesi dopo gli avvenimenti del libro con anche qui il doppio pov e in aggiunta un pov di Greyson ambientato altri 6 mesi dopo, l'ho AMATO!
Perfetto da leggere nel periodo natalizio proprio come ho fatto io, ve lo stra consiglio.

This book has holiday TV movie written all over it; a NYC C.E.O. arrives in a small upstate town to flip the mansion left to him by his aunt and meets a woman who makes him question his life back in the city. This book was sweet, sassy, sexy, and had so much heart I found it impossible to put down.
Grayson intends to flip the estate he inherited and be out of town before Christmas, but he finds the house needs more work than he expected and he ends up hiring Allie to help him with cleaning, small repairs, and decorating off of a work app. He was surprised to see her after already running into her in the diner in town, but she seems like a very dedicated employee. While he won’t admit it, he also finds her funny and charming but he knows she’s not the time of woman for a fling.
Allie is used to working multiple jobs to keep a roof over her and her nieces’ heads. She was ready to become a mother but when her sister and brother in law were killed and named her their guardian she stepped up and thankfully has had nothing but support from her brother and sister in law and others in their community. She’s surprised to see the handsome stranger at the estate, but she needs the work to provide the girls with a good Christmas.
It was fun watching these two go from pretty formal to a comfortable working relationship to a friendship to lovers. While it happened fairly quickly over a span of a few weeks, it felt longer and not in a bad way. I adored the way Grayson took the news of Allie having two small girls in stride and how easily they took to him. It was easy to see how much Grayson loved the town and the lifestyle of a small town and how he realized his job wasn’t everything to him anymore. While he made some big relationship mistakes and why I think Allie forgave him a bit too easily, I could also see how much they were both hurting and needed one another.
A bit of a grumpy-sunshine theme ran through My Smalltown C.E.O. Scrooge, yet this book was also uplifting and a feel-good holiday romance.
**Reviewer’s note, this book was in need of better editing. There were quite a few mistakes throughout. While it didn’t ruin the book, they did take me out of the story thus the 4 stars.

Oggi voglio parlarvi della lettura che mi ha tenuto compagnia per questi giorni e che letteralmente è la versione cartacea di un classico film di Natale🎄

Sapete tutti che sono una grande fan delle commedie romantiche e che ovviamente mi vedo tutte quelle natalizie (ok, forse non tutte perché a un certo punto divento intollerante al mood Hallmark), ma almeno le più famose sulle varie piattaforme!
Ecco, UNO SCROOGE A SUNRISE VALLEY è esattamente su questo stile♥️ Lo definirei un libro coccola, per staccare dallo stress senza il rischio di rimanere delusi e poi davvero perfetto per la stagione!
Ci sono scene comiche, alcune più dolci, c’è lo spicy e c’è tanto clima natalizio tra battaglie a palle di neve, costumi da Babbo Natale e dolcetti

Mi aspettavo un grumpy (lui sembra super rigido) x sushine (lei super cute e vivace)più travagliato e slow burn, ma in realtà lui ha una facciata grumpy che vola via abbastanza velocemente e la passione tra i due si scalda in pochi giorni, d’altronde hanno una data di scadenza imminente
.

CEO Greyson Blair has inherited what he sees as a decrepit mansion that he can’t wait to flip and sell so he can be rid of it and run back home. DNF...I have a new policy that I don’t finish books if I find myself disturbed by something in the book. In this book, the story started off cute enough but the first sex scene involved no conversation about safe sex practices and no condom use. FAIL. Buh-bye.

Oggi sono qui per parlarvi di un'altra bellissima opera arrivata nelle nostre librerie.
Come sapete sono una grande amante del genere, quindi potevo mai farmelo scappare?
Assolutamente no.
Da quando sua sorella è morta, la vita di Alora è cambiata. La sua scomparsa le ha lasciato la in custodia le sue due nipotine: Emma e Lottie. Per non far mancare loro nulla, Allie fa più lavori e si spezza continuamente la schiena.
Un giorno alla tavola calda dove lavora, fa l'incontro di un uomo dal muso lungo che poi si ritrova a rincontrare quando lui la ingaggia, senza sapere che sia lei, per farle fare lavori nella villa che ha ereditato. Greyson, è il suo nome, lavora e vive a New York e di certo non ha intenzione di restare in quel luogo senza speranze... a meno che non abbia buoni motivi inaspettati.
" A volte non si riconosce il valore di un momento finché non diventa un ricordo. "
A parte il fatto che Greyson mi ha fatto innamorare, nome a parte, è proprio il tipo di personaggio che adoro. Questa lettura è stata piena di cliché, di scene già viste in tantissimi film Natalizi e non che ho amato e che mi hanno accompagnata sin dall'infanzia. Ma così come quegli stessi film fossero uguali ad altri e li ho amati comunque, così è successo con questo libro che sì, ok, essere uguali tra loro può essere un difetto ma al tempo stesso i dettagli diversi rendono le storie in parte diverse e almeno personalmente non posso non dire di amarlo come ho amato anche le altre opere.
Quindi se mi sento di consigliarlo? Assolutamente si, non scherziamo! Una lettura dolce, frizzante e davvero adorabile.

I loved this book! I'd never heard of Harmony Knight before, and since this is only her second book, I figure she's a new author.
I was searching for rom com Christmas books on Kindle Unlimited and was struck by the adorable cover. Then when I read the bio, I decided to give it a try! Glad I did because it was was wonderful!
There are a few errors with the wrong word being used (done instead of don't, etc..) but not enough to detract from the story for me.
I was worried that Greyson was another stone cold hero, but his coldness was a thin layer of ice that was quickly broken by Allie. Ms. Knight gave him a believable background for his insecurities and a rather dramatic background for Allie, but it all worked. I loved all the side characters and all the little children featured in the book!
There's some good sexy times (three to be exact), all well written, detailed and hot! My only complaint is that they never once use or talk about birth control, while the author makes a point to say that he spills his seen into her. This is careless and a bit unrealistic since every responsible sexually active person uses protection, and both these characters are responsible people. There's quite a few uses of the f-word and other curse words but not too many in my opinion.
Highly recommended! I will definitely read more books by Harmony Knight!

Allie is raising her two orphaned nieces and works at her small town's local diner. One day a mysterious stranger comes in and on a dare, she pretends to be French thinking she'll never see the stranger again. Greyson a big-time CEO from New York City is immediately attracted to the antler wearing waitress speaking French and is visiting the small town to renovate a home and sell it. He hires a local to help him and is surprised to find that it is the waitress. He decides it's best to maintain a completely professional relationship with her and comes off as a pompous asshole.
I really enjoyed this book Greyson was a little rough around the edges at first but I really grew to love him as he spent more and more time with Allie and especially with how he interacted with her two nieces. I'm glad that the couple had such an amazing support system from their family and friends throughout the book.

Alora Brooks is a young waitress living in a small town in upstate NY, who became a single mom of her two little nieces after the death of her sister and brother-in-law. She is a kind and upbeat woman that is trying to work 3 jobs to give her daughters the perfect Christmas. Grayson Blair is the opposite. He's accustomed to living as a bachelor and he interacts with kids only as a fun uncle to his brother's children. When he arrives in town from the Big Apple to sell a mansion he has inherited, he seeks help and finds Allie. While they are working together on flipping the house, the two begin to develop feelings for each other.
There are sometime books that have every qualities I would like in a blurb, but ultimately don't deliver. Harmony Knight paints a beautiful Christmas town and an adorable little family with small children, Christmas fair, Santa and presents, but I found everything a little dull. I've even skipped the epilogue that is usually my favourite part. The dialogue between the main characters seems forced at time, everyone was always laughing so hard at nothing and the big conflict inside the couple was created and resolved almost without words exchanged. Allie and Grayson create a love story in two weeks without knowing a thing about the other.
We all want a sweet and happy read during holidays, but never boring.

I want to stand guard over your dreams while you stand guard over the girls’ dreams.
I absolutely loved this book!! It's so good and it makes you feel so many good things while reading it. It's real, it's lovely. I laughed and I almost cried and I just... 5 out of 5 stars, no doubt.
This book HAS to be on your reading list for next Christmas.
