American Chillers: Oklahoma Outbreak by Johnathan Rand was an okay book in my opinion. The only part I did not like was the ending. It made the whole book pointless. So, I wouldn't recommend this book to anybody. It made me feel like I wasted all my time reading this book. While it had some good twists to it, I still feel this was a terrible book for me. If I could go back I would've picked a different book.

In Tulsa, Oklahoma three kids go after school to the library to meet up for their book club. While the kids are very excited for the club, they don't know where anybody is. Nobody showed up until Wayne comes out of the library looking sicker than ever. He looked like a zombie. Well the kids couldn't understand what he was saying, he was really saying kooooteeeez. So, for about two hours the kids run around being chased by these people and through terrible twisting events in the school they finally get caught up. They are surrounded by ten cootie infested people, and there's no way out. Once they all attack, they all yelled April fools! It was all a joke and then the bookclub really started.

In the book Oklahoma Out back by Johnathan Rand, a young girl named Tricia is introduced as a girl who loves to read. She loves it so much that she even goes to a book club. One day her friend Tommy made a joke about a girl having cooties. The girl decided to pull a prank on him and his two friends., which were Tricia and Carlos. She gets all the members of the book club to dress up and act like bloodthirsty zombies. She and the other members of the book club chased the three students around the school for a good couple of hours, until Tricia made a mistake and cornered her and her friends.l Tricia punched one of the zombies, and that's when the other members of the book club broke character and told them it was a prank.

What I like about this book is how there is always a problem. You can never just end it quickly and be doing, every time the three friends tried something, a new problem occurred. What I didn't like about this book is the ending. I didn't like how the whole thing was a prank. I wish the author made the characters do some heroic stunt to escape the zombies.

I think Elementary to middle school level students would enjoy this book., It's a thriller and it's always got you scared to know what's going to happen next. If you like being nervous and scared, this book is perfect for you.
