This book will tell you the truth about how the homosexual activist (notice I didn't use gay, because God actually put that on earth for real happy people)turned it around, just like they did the sickness of ssa.

The book tells how the activist, media and society changed what is a true sickness into a more exceptable way of living a life the will send you spiraling strait to hell here on earth.

Great book if your interested in the truth!

This book is pseudoscience. Just reading the introduction made me sick: "99% of the [catholic church] abuse has been against young men past the age of puberty." Pedophilia is not defined as prepubescent. In one study (https://www.catholicworldreport.com/2...) it states that 6% of the victims were under 7, so we're already down to 94%, if we add those 8-10 years old (16%), we're now down to 78%, so the
author is a liar.

There are numerous red flags:
* "In this book a more objective standard is used..." Compared to what? Numerous studies that the author rejects, instead, relying on his own interpretation, dismiss criticism of studies his bias supports.
* Complains of being excluded, blames homosexual "activists" (pg 6) for excluding conversion therapy (re-branded as "reorientation therapy.")
* The book rejects actual science, reinterprets studies using "more objective standards,"
* Blames homosexuals who don't convert for not being "motivated to change" (pg 222).

This book is nothing more than apologetic excusing the catholic church and blaming homosexuals for infiltrating the church.

This book is trash for homophobic bigots.

This book is filled with cherry picking and unscientific claims. Neil Whitehead is also a member of NARTH, a widely discredited organization that peddles lies about gay conversion therapy, with even notable founders coming out against its practices.

I was NOT surprised to find many biologists and scientists take issue with the claims of Neil Whitehead.

For example, Neil claims that brain plasticity proves homosexuality is merely a learned habit in the following example: "London taxi drivers have an enlarged area of the brain dealing with navigation. Is this innate? No. London bus drivers on set routes did not have this enlarged area, and on retirement of the taxi drivers, the brain area involved diminished. Taxi-drivers were not born that way, but developed the brain area through huge amounts of navigation and learning, and only maintained it through constant use."

Dr Warren Throckmorton hilariously took him to task with this response: "Do we have any research that demonstrates brain areas which enlarge based on frequent sex? Or straight sex or gay sex? I know of none and the Whiteheads offer none but this appears to be what they are suggesting. They also suggest that gay and straight sex might bulk up different brain areas thus reflecting activity rather than causing it. I know of no research which indicates different brain areas for sexual arousal. This study by Safron et al seems to provide evidence against such an idea."

There is absolutely no evidence of sexual acts enlarging grey matter in the sex-related parts of the brain. This man is making claims that are far outside of his sphere of scientific understanding and goes to show that merely having a degree does not make you qualified. He completely ignores the scientific method and makes a fool of himself.

Dr Throckmorton provided a much more in-depth analysis of the claims by Whitehead and completely blows this clown out of the water.

Upon further looking into Mr Whitehead, I was amused to see he has the famous 'gay face' himself. Personally and based on scientific reading, I think gay-face is an example of evidence that homosexuality has a biological link. We know that prominent 'gay conversion therapists' are often gay themselves, and many of them have come out and said that it doesn't work. Considering Whitehead is a member of NARTH, I would not be surprised if he has some homosexual inclination himself. He seems to have dedicated a sizable portion of his career to the topic in some kind of defensive and pseudoscientific manner that only religious fundamentalists take seriously.

As a former science teacher with a post graduate degree in genetics. I recommend that people not waste their time or money on this rubbish. Earth scientist Neil Whitehead may know his rocks, he doesn't understand science of human identity and its contributions from genetics, developmental biology, sociology and psychology (the nature and nurture) he tries to describe.

Does it really matter whether being gay is genetic or not? As a sociology student, I would love to get into a rant about how a sociological behaviour is just as much a part of you as a biological behaviour, but I won't because personally I do go with the evidence and believe that being gay is genetic.

At the end of the day, it has absolutely no effect on your life if someone else is gay. Some of my close friends are gay, or otherwise LGBT. Did it change my life when I found out? No. And I'm a nosey cow, so seriously, Neil E. Whitehead, if I don't care then you shouldn't either. It's a bad sign when you're nosier and more interfering than me. My sisters can back that up. These books worry me though, because all messing and joking aside, this is the reason so many LGBT kids (and adults) end up committing suicide. Books like this, and attitudes like this are literally killing people.

Just leave people to be who they want to be. They aren't affecting you or hurting anyone else, so stop being so controlling. Again, this is coming from someone with some control issues of her own, and it's a seriously bad sign if you're more controlling than me. See, even this review is me trying to control people. ;)
