Turquoise Eye of Horus

Rate this book
[Siren Classic: Erotic Contemporary Romance, Shape-shifter] Codie had her trip to Egypt all planned out, but her plans soon fall apart when she gets lost in the Eastern Desert during a sand storm. Lost and alone, she unintentionally calls out to the Egyptian god, Horus, whose eye she wears around her neck as a pendant. Horus comes to Codie in her dreams, the only place he can come to her as a man without drawing his uncle's spiteful attention. Unable to watch Codie suffer during her waking hours, Horus takes his falcon form and goes to Codie in the mortal realm to watch over her until a rescue party comes. As Codie's plight worsens, Horus confronts Seth, who has trapped Codie out in the desert to draw Horus out. With their feud as old as time, Horus knows he must defeat Seth if he is to save the mortal woman he wants as his mate. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

I really liked this novella. It is a part of a series of novella's and there are 4 of them. I read them all in about 6hrs. The story Is a about a Canadian girl named Codie Marks, who has saved all her money up for a vacation in Egypt. While there She takes a tour of the desert and gets separated from the tour group by a Sand storm. With limited water, a lighter, sleeping bag and no food she finds the only shade under a dead tree. She clutches a necklace that her grandmother gave her when she was Thirteen and was told that it would always protect her. Its the symbol of the Egyptian God Horus, the Falcon God.
Need less to say, I dont like to give away any spoilers but He Answers her call in the best way that he can, In her dreams which are very steamy and eventually in the form of a Falcon in the mortal realm.
Will he save her? You will have to read to find out. However I give his book 3 stars because I felt like it could have been a wonderful story with more background on Codie, and Horus as well. It would have made a great novel. It is a very quick and Hott read, and over way to soon. The whole story is only 43 pages. If you only have time for a quick read, I really do suggest this one.

Pretty Good!

I'm rating this story as pretty good because it was short. It would have been very good if it had been longer as it did have a good vs bad element, sex scenes & a fight scene.

Codie has always worn her eye of horus necklace & on this camping trip it helped her out immensely. When she went to sleep the 1st night after getting lost she met Horus the Egyptian God & he made her night not feel so alone & in the morning a gray sooty colored falcon came to keep her company during the day.

That's the beginning of their story & to find out more you will have to read it.

A couple years ago when I started reading Ms.Chenery’s stories I said I would read every book she has come out with… well I am getting closer to that. Erotic Contemporary Romance, Shape-shifter. I have always wanted to visit the world and now I can visit Egypt through this series and get hot and a bit bothered at the same time hehe. The stories in this series are short stories which make it fast and easy to read.
