From Forgiveness to Fulfillment – a sequel to Azim’s first book, From Murder to Forgiveness – beautifully illustrates how Azim has found fulfillment through forgiveness, detailing the evolution of a father dedicated to healing not only his heart, but also the wounds of our society.
I listened to an interview of Azim on the F Word — the F word being forgiveness — and I was completely taken aback, transformed, moved . . . So much was felt. I immediately searched for his book, the first book was okay. It wasn’t nearly as compelling as his interview or the work. Recently, a friend of mine lost their child—their child was murdered. I was drawn back this moment, this interview, and the lesson/idea of forgiveness.
I bought the first book for my friend, and reread the most compelling parts of it, and then considered the second book . . . this book. I was hesitant since the first one missed the mark for me but again I felt drawn to do so. I am so happy I did — this book hit the mark. It had so much more depth and detail to the mission, the work, and the power of forgiveness . . . How we chose forgiveness not once, but each day; how forgiveness impacts more than us or even the forgiven, but everyone we encounter . . . And since this book was written much later it was written with more reflection, insight, and consequence to Azim’s forgiveness journey and the work of TKF.
Excellent sequel — and could stand on its own to be honest so if you don’t know where to start or can’t decide, start here.
