A teenaged boy on a quest for martial arts knowledge ends up in a dojo in the big city--with four super-hot women, in this series based on the popular Japanese anime.
Yes, another graphic novel that depicts the story of a samurai coming out from his training in the woods to training in the city life. It may sound like your typical harem-romance story but I suppose it is different in a way. It is definitely filled with a bunch of girls that surrounds the protagonist with warm feelings but there is a conflict that arises. This book, the first volume, starts off by introducing the book. There is a conflict seen already in the beginning and meanwhile, there is an incorporation of comedy and laughter. I recommend this book to someone who is bored and would feel like reading anything. I thought that this book was not bad but it is definitely more descriptive than the show itself.
Didn't like it at all, reminded me of Nejima with the same meaningless plot, actually there was no story at all except for the final chapters just to have a conclusion for the series...
Chapters were too long since almost each chapter was a separate story with the odd exception of a story lasting the whole volume
There is some hope for this book if it learns how to calm down. Firstly I had a lot of hope for the main protagonist but the first book focused too much on his accidental hi-jinks and fantasies but being strictly dedicated to his martial arts and at heart a good person may save this manga from being empty fan-service.
Hey! I thought, oh! Samurai!! There must be action. But, nope, very less of that in these books. Its ecchi, girls over a man, going crazy with fun sequences. And I like it. I like it quite a lot. There are common sequences with other comedy harem mangas, but it has its own charm. Thus, 4 stars suits it well. I think I will continue reading it.
So far, the samurai part is moderately interesting; the harem part is the same old idiotic accidental breast grabbing, panty peak sort of stuff.
Manga often uses the first volume to introduce the characters. On that basis, I'll give this the benefit of a doubt; it does a decent job of defining the actors.
This book really wasn't written for me in mind. I find fanservice cliches mind-numbing. But I had to review it. I gave it a favorable review since it has an endearing main character and fans of fanservice will LOVE it.
A boy samurai name Yoichi lives in the mountains with his father. After having nothing else to learn, Yoichi's father sends him to a dojo that one of his friend owns. This is were Yoichi will learn new moves. I would recomend this book because it has a combination of action and comedy.
