V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her mama over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn't happen.
Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it.
When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.

I went into this story knowing that it was going to be a somewhat dark read and having being an enemies to lovers story. I started the first chapter and I immediately stopped reading because there was an intense feeling that I was missing something with this couple. Turns out that I was right because there was another book that started their journey and I'm so glad that I read that one first because I would've been lost!!

The Land Where Sinners Love is a follow up to The Land Where Sinners Atone and we're back in the lives of Phoenix and Zachary King. After going through heartbreaking and tumultuous events one after the other, Kings are now happier than ever and enjoying the expansion of their family. But when Phoenix gets called to help with a murder case, past memories comes back to haunt her and everyone she loves could be at risk.

KiBX

After reading the first book and seeing that it was more intense than this one, I really liked the fact that we got to see a bit more family time in this one. Even though Zachary and Phoenix each had their own careers and were constantly busy, they made their family a priority and set rules so they could spend more time with each other and I loved that. I wanted to see more of the business conflicts that were arising because I felt like that was pushed to the side fairly quickly and I also wanted more background into certain things.

Overall I think that this was a good conclusion to Zach and Phoenix’s story and I cannot wait for King of Heartbreak. I have a strong feeling that this author is going to bring it in that one. If you’re looking for a sexy dark thriller duet, you should give this one a try.

V. F. Mason has done it again, grabbing this reader and pulling her in to Zachary and Phoenix’s unparalleled love story. At first glance we see this couples passionate love play out on the pages only to be shattered by life throwing them into their tumultuous past.
Phoenix remains as her strong and loving character that we all love and Zach is more determined in his love for her, ensuring her safety with his protection and obsessive tendencies.
Sensational story, with appearances of past characters, and the promise of stories yet to come!

The Land Where Sinners Love is a follow up to The Land Where Sinners Atone and we're back in the lives of Phoenix and Zachary King. I was so excited when I found out we were getting more Phoenix and Zach! I enjoyed seeing what their lives were like now. The couple finally get to enjoy life with their twins and a teenage daughter.

They once again find themselves in the middle of yet another intriguing mystery where Phoenix is called in to uses her impressive knowledge and skills to track down another subject accused of taking three young girls—and one that seems to be targeting her specifically, knowing she won’t resist.

I really loved the book! But for me personally I found that some parts of it got rushed, just so this sweet couple could fall back into bed!
I wanted to see more of the business conflicts that were arising because I felt like that was pushed to the side fairly quickly and I also wanted more background into certain things.

Overall this was a quick fun read that took us back to a well loved world and on an suspenseful and emotional rollercoaster of a ride—one that will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing till the very end!

Star Rating : 4 / 5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : None

Hero : Zachary

Heroine : Phoenix

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 5/10

Triggers Involved : Past Trauma , Kidnapping , Grovel , Second chances , Miscarriage

Overall Opinion :
When I first read the book , THE LAND WHERE SINNERS ATONE by this author , I literally screamed so bad. It was a painful book that made me hate the hero lmao because I wanted him to grovel more!! But the angst always kept me hooked and overall , I loved that book. Which is why I jumped so quickly to read this one.

This is a continuation of that book. I never knew that we would be getting more books about the same couple but here we are as I won't ever say no because I love that world so much! If you are into dark second chance romance with tons of triggers and some grovel , then make sure to read these books.

Definitely recommending this one to all the contemporary romance loving people. It has a lot of triggers like miscarriage, prison time , revenge , serial killer on loose and much more so please keep those in mind before picking this one up.

3.5⭐

I’d been told this book would give me closure on the first book (i.e. lack of remorse from the hero for everything he’d put her through) but it didn’t. If anything, the heroine came across as even more of a spineless twit, I couldn’t take her or her profession seriously. She feels more anger and fury at Noah than she does with the man who, despite his words, suffers no consequences for the decisions he made that has scarred her for life. But I guess none of that really matters since she loves him so much 🙄

In a bit of a departure from her usual style, author V.F. Mason sends us on an adventure with some familiar characters that is definitely not as dark as the majority of Mason's works. Whereas it is usually the main characters who are either going through trauma or causing the trauma, in this story Phoenix and Zachary (the main characters from The Land Where Sinners Atone) must help the FBI figure out what happened to the three daughters of a murdered man, when the accused murder refuses to talk to anyone but Dr. Phoenix King. Parts of the story seem like they belong in an episode of Criminal Minds, with Dr. King attempting to psychoanalyze the accused and other possible suspects. With shared narrations of Phoenix, Zachary, and the unsub, the novel is well written and will keep you in suspense until that plot resolves near the end of the book. It also gives us a look into life for Phoenix, Zachary, and their family after The Land Where Sinners Atone and sets the scene for at least one or two more books based on other characters.

While you could read this by itself, reading The Land Where Sinners Atone first will give you insights into the characters and will allow a much deeper reading experience, since the events in that book are discussed many times during this story.

“atonement and love exist even after hell on earth.”

ironically enough, this book felt like the couple’s actual atonement, albeit the title of their first book. it was everything i never dared dream about because it wasn’t even a possibility once i finished what was their happily ever after at the time, no matter how much i needed to see them just be, together, happy. and this second book was that, a testament to their love, but nonetheless still a manifestation of sin. the borderline divine symbolism of hell and hate rooted into their beginning turned into the reverence with which they refused this to be their ending.

* i was sent an arc by give me books pr in exchange for an honest review

4 stars!

This book can be read as a stand alone but it is a “follow up” to the book “The Land Where Sinners Atone”. I suggest reading them in order but it isn’t a must.

I absolutely loved the first book and was so excited to see this book. And it did not disappoint. What I love the most about this authors books is if you pay attention you will notice many characters from other books making appearances and setting up for future books. I love her “serial killer romance” books. For that reason I now am sooo curious about our new little murderer.

This book is written perfectly. I love the characters. I love the plot. It’s sexy as sin and you know Zach is sexy!! Be prepared for some triggers, but they are sooo worth it.

**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**

LOVED. THIS!!!

I was so excited when I found out we were getting more Phoenix and Zach! I enjoyed seeing what their lives were like now. Towards the end I started getting worried that a whole side plot was forgotten. BUT. THAT. ENDING. I can’t wait to see the daughters story play out.

I throughly liked the thriller/mystery aspect that was this storyline with Miranda. I kept going back and forth between the mystery person being someone we may have came across briefly or not.

I read the first book in this series back in 2020 and I absolutely loved it! I was very surprised when I heard that this book was releasing because the first book ended perfectly! I was excited to read more about the characters though, so I grabbed a copy as soon as it released! After reading, I can say that I loved this book just as much as the first book! The plot developed at the perfect pace and it only took me a few sittings to read because I didn’t want to put it down! There was a lot of romance in the plot, which I was expecting! The romance allowed for some very steamy scenes between the two main characters! There was also a new case for the characters to solve and it allowed for some action and suspense, which added to the plot and made me enjoy it more! The characters were again amazing and made this book even better! Phoenix was again the main female character, and I loved her in this book! She went through a lot in the last book, so it was amazing to see her happy and loved! Phoenix was also pulled back into danger and it did take her back to what she had been through, but it also showed how far she had come and how strong she was! Zachary ‘Zach’ was again the main male character and love interest of Phoenix! Zach did a lot of wrongs things in the other book, but he had redeemed himself and wanted his family to be safe! Zach was also fiercely protective of Phoenix and he wanted to let her live her life, but also be there to make sure she wasn't hurt! I loved Zach and he worked hard and was very fierce and in charge! This book was written from both Phoenix and Zach’s point of views! I was kind of expecting it to be because the other book was written from both characters point of view! The synopsis does give the impression that it might only be written from the female character’s point of view though! I loved that it was written from dual point of view because it helped me connect more with Phoenix and Zach and see how much they loved and cared about each other! It allowed for a few more things to happen in the plot, even though the characters did spend a lot of the book together! I’m not expecting more books for Phoenix and Zach, but I’m very excited about the book featuring their daughter! It releases in May, which isn’t long of a wait! I’ll definitely be reading it as soon as it releases and I hope Phoenix and Zach make some appearances in it! I also love the cover for this book as well and it would draw me to the book! It has the same vibe as the cover for the first book even though it doesn't have a cover model on it and matches it!

V.F. Mason.. donde has estado toda mí vida?

The premise of chasing down another killer felt tedious and repetitive. I couldn't be invested anymore... Especially when the killer gives Phoenix and the FBI 72 hours to find him. Phoenix and Zach decide to go on a romantic getaway instead of dedicating the time to track him down. Then Phoenix has the audacity to say things like "Faster! We only have twenty minutes!" while racing through traffic.
description

I was promised that this second book would help me forgive Zach for his utter lack of grovel in the first book, but I was left disappointed.
In fact, Zach starts to hate on himself when Phoenix is confronted with her trauma again and she lets him off the hook, saying she never brought it up again because it would hurt him to remember it all and feel guilty.
You know, AS HE WELL SHOULD.

I got annoyed with the heroine at this point. Everyone, including herself, talks about how strong, resilient, and forgiving she is for moving on and finding love with the man who hurt her. She toots her own horn quite a bit - including calling herself the best Psychiatrist in the world because she is so smart and gifted when she's like mid-30s. eye roll.

Another small point that got annoying: how frequently the MMC and FMC call each other darling. I get it, you're in love. I promise I'm not a single and bitter hag - they just say it a lot within a few sentences. It's maddening.

The only plot point I found myself actually interested in was Rafael Wright and his lawsuit with Zachary. Color me surprised when I find Rafael in the epilogue of this book and a little Persephone reference. Zachary's daughter, Emmaline, and Rafael seem to have an upcoming book together, King of Heartbreak, and I look forward to it.

~The land where sinners love ~
I feel honored that I received the arc to this book😍😭

The first book is the land where sinners atone
(review is also posted to the book)

This book was amazing and I can only recommend it
It’s the perfect mix of mystery, suspense and dark romance of course 🖤
(Look up TW)

This story plays a few years after the first story where everything began.
You can read this book as a stand-alone but honestly I recommend reading the first one too because it’s a masterpiece and you won’t regret it.

The first book describes the life of phoenix and Zach after fate turned their lives upside down.
They hated each others so passionately to their guts …
But who would have guessed…that they would have the most fantastic and epic love story.
She forgave him and moved on and let her feelings for him in.

(This is honestly one of the best enemies to lovers stories I’ve read so far.)😩🖤🫶🏼

Now a few years later they have children of their own and a beautiful family life.
But one day an fbi agent needs phoenix help on a case to solve the riddle wich was “made” by a criminal especially for her, because she is the best psychiatrist in the country.
And once again phoenix is in a twisted game of a serial killer, but this time she has to solve the riddle in order to save the children of the woman who was put into jail.
Will she succeed ?….and will she find the true murderer?
And what kind of dark and twisted secrets will she uncover on her way to solve the riddle?
But meanwhile when phoenix tries to solve the riddle, you’ll get a beautiful insight in the love life of her and Zach. You’ll see how much he loves her and their kids and mostly you’ll see how he loves her.
A love that burns so deep and with so much passion. He would do anything for her and so would she.
And together they’re in “the land where sinners love”. 💖

Great romantic suspense. Zachary and Phoenix together again in this mystery thriller. Phoenix uses her heart and her skills to find a unsub holding three young girls. But the clock is ticking. This story follows both solving a case as well as a revisit into a couple’s love and forgiveness.

In this book two, I got the atonement I so sought from Zachary in book one in which Phoenix’s sweetness felt taken advantage of, and her understanding and generosity too easily given. The couple’s devotion comes full circle, with some precocious twins, a mature, sweet daughter, and an often flustered nanny. The antics of the twins, reminiscent of Zach, were funny. Characters stayed true to form: Zach was still a billionaire, powerhouse alpha, but not to his family and everyone was ever protective of Phoenix.

Multiple, first-person points of view, it was nice to read about a mature, successful couple, particularly the heroine who was a master in her field. I also liked the complexity of the plot line encompassing both the couple’s lives with all the feels and crime solving. This book was spicy, too. (3.75/5) Great balance of sexy and plot.

Just a bit of overabundance of scenic descriptiveness and not so original a crime theme that detracted from both the progress and inventiveness of the plot, but overall a great book. The vivid characters and depiction of their emotions were the story’s strongest and most compelling highlights, in addition to a romantic happy ever after. Some interesting side characters, too, including the unsub, and I can’t wait to read what stories come next.

The Land Where Sinners Love by VF Mason

Zachary and Phoenix are back and this time both are dealing with yet again another thrilling murder mystery to solve. This dark romantic suspense book is a connected standalone to “The Land Where Sinners Atone” I highly recommend to read it first.

This book is the completion to what I felt missing and wanting in the first book but don’t get me wrong I absolutely adore and love the first one and I commend the author for writing yet again another phenomenal book! At first I thought it would be like an epilogue of sort but it was so much more. Zach and Phoenix had a rough start from atonement, it was a unique, full of angst, forgiveness and love. This book showed how both are still dealing unresolved emotions from the aftermath despite being together for years because of a situation that closely resembled to what they have dealt with. A well written book narrated by Zach, Phoenix and the unsub, the story is exhilarating, intense and unputdownable. Zach and Phoenix stayed true to their passion and characters, one’s possessive and the other is emphatic.

“Me and you…we were so scarred by our pasts that I think we needed to learn how to love and then experience a heartbreak in order to cherish what we have with everything in us.”

I also love their family dynamic, It’s fun and exciting to read about other characters from a different book and they played some roles in this story beneficial to upcoming books in the future.

Overall, I highly recommend this book and I hope you enjoy Zachary and Phoenix’s love story. 5 stars and more!!! I voluntary review this in exchange of an honest review.

The Land Where Sinners Love, the second book in the Land Where Sinners series by V.F. Mason was yet again another dark billionaire romance that checked all the boxes and brought us back to two much loved characters! V.F. Mason is a master at creating the perfect antihero and characters that captivate the reader right from the start with a storyline that is equally enthralling and this one was no exception!

This is the continued story of Zachary and Phoenix from the first story as they once again find the sieves in the middle of yet another intriguing mystery where Phoenix is called in to uses her impressive knowledge and skills to track down another subject accused of taking three young girls—and one that seems to be targeting her specifically, knowing she won’t resist.

But this isn’t just a new mystery for them to embark on a journey to solve it—it’s also a journey of their lives, love and dedication for each other and all they’ve overcome as they both have to revisit some stuff from their pasts in order to move on. And what can I say besides these two are still utterly perfect for each other! Zachary is still the hot AF alpha protective male and Phoenix was just as smart and fiercely dedicated making this a definite must read!

Overall this was a quick fun read that took us back to a well loved world and on an suspenseful and emotional rollercoaster of a ride—one that will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing till the very end! This book has it all: suspense, mystery, intrigue, twists and turns, tons of emotions, steam and angst galore and of course finally love.
