I am not

Okay. People, I was not expecting this ending. These high school, next-door neighbors, and best friends' story was filled with so many unsaid things and emotions I wanted to hug someone. A good edit was needed to clear some problem areas, but the story was good overall.

this book drew me in from the beginning. Two best friends growing up together, but one event changed that. Mega would do whatever to protect Tai. Tai being the naive girl only wanted her friendship back not realizing that time and distance changed the dynamic. As adults they both had feelings for each other but did not know how to express them. I feel like Devon is hiding something from Tai, and Kenai has an agenda. But was so happy that Mega finally told her how he felt then something tragic happened. On to book 2 I go 🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️.

Mega and Tai was child hood best friend they went to a party Mega had a bad feeling about going to the pary. Tai convinced him to go in the wrong neighborhood. Some guy at the party disrespected her and called her out of her name he ended up killing him. Mega did a 10 years bid for her he finally was released from prison. Mega is trying to get his life together trying to go to barber school. Both Mega and Tai have strong feelings for each and they missed out on their friendship. Time is running out because of them are in other exclusively relationships. Mega and Tai end up sleeping together it now a complicated situation. Now the man Tai is see now Devon wants her to choose between him or Mega who was shot and severely injured.

How Can It Work When Your Heart Belongs to another?

K. Nicole. Lawd what a terrible game that's been played not on purpose but it just happened. Mega and Tai were best friends that shared everything. Mega has so much love for Tai as his best friend he protected her in the most unselfish way he could.
Now grown they realized what is actually is but afraid to change the direction of their relationship for fear of the change it may cause, they both try and ignore their feelings but they just can't now a retaliation has happened and Mega may not be able to make it. What will Tai do? How is this gonna end? I want to see Tai and Mega win. Im sorry others are involved but a heart wants who and what it wants🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

This was a nice quick read. I loved Mega and Tai's relationship. I like that K.Nicole kept it realistic. Mega didn't just jump into Tai's arm and I liked that. However the plot twists threw me right off lol where is K.Nicoke going with this story? I have to read part 2 to find out. But great story, there were a couple editing issues with typos and wrong physical description of Mega. I didn't think he was chocolate skin tone and it said he had dreads then switched to waves. Not a major big deal but it was hard to picture him because of that. Her best friend Chelsey is hilarious. I liked that she brought the balance and offered unhinged advice! Great characters and an engaging storyline!

Afraid to love

This ain the usual, typical friends to lovers!!!! Im sooo shocked at the actions of Ty and Mega cuz maannnn boffum petty 😂🤦🏽‍♀️😂🤦🏽‍♀️ Understandably Mega had to do some adjusting and Ty couldnt fault him for that, but she definitely had to understand it!! A 10 yr old decision has come back with major consequences for Ty and Mega, and now Ty has to decide on love with comfort or with where her heart needs her to be! Baaayyyybeee Devin gon have to see me in pt 2 cuz who TF is he supposed to be making demands and giving ultimatums 🤔🤦🏽‍♀️

Tai and Mega both are working my nerves. They just need to be honest with each other and be together. That’s what I want lol and they want it too.

One minute Tai thinks it’s too early for Devon to be in love the next minute she was gonna tell him that she loved him, she doesn’t she’s confused. She thinks loving him will erase Mega from her heart but it won’t those two are destined to be together that’s how I know Mega will survive 🤞🏾 Ugh why Kenai gotta be pregnant 😩 that’s suppose to be Tai.

This progress of this love story of them going from best friends to lovers from high school to jail. I love how the author takes us through their heartache, makeups and break ups. It definitely wasn’t easy for Mega to fully love Tai without hurting her. But in any relationship theirs always some hurt. Tai’s ride or die personality mixed with his. I couldn’t put the book down. I literally read this and the 2nd book in one days

Promises should be kept no matter the circumstances or situation. Friendships or relationships may end however love is forever no matter who hurt who you will be there to support the person. The feeling may not be mutual or even the same however showing remorse, empathy or compassion for someone else goes a long way.

The cover and synopsis attracted my attention plus I love anything K. Nicole writes! Pinky Promise was dramatic and had me flipping through the pages hoping there will be a united love with Tai and Mega! But that love triangle with an extra person and that cliffhanger!! I’m running to part two!
