Poor Danielle can't even catch a break pregnant! I am so in love with this series, and I am invested in the characters. It has been a wonderful little series of cozy mysteries.
Not much to say about Haunting Danielle reads except RAD! I adore the Beach Drive Crew of mediums and all the rest. It's really cool that the ghosts and Walt communicate with the animals, too. I swear during the time were were finding out about Frank I had my suspicions about him and wanted to kick Laura in the head for being entirely clueless.
I wonder if the talk Lily planned to have with Laura had anything to do with the secrets all around. It'd be neat if the BD Crew brought in another person into the loop.
This series is one of my favorites and I do hope book 33 will be released within this year (2023), although I'm not holding my breath. Not my time to join Eva and Marie yet! Lol.
For my next read, I'm going with "The Inn at Holiday Bay: Riddle in the Review", Book 22 of 23" by Kathi Daley and, yes, I've read the previous 21 books which were all very homey and cozy.
So happy Max, the cat, had a good sized role in the story line! Way to go, Max!!!! This was a phenomenal ghostly mystery. There were so many twists and turns that I couldn't stop reading from one page to the next. As soon as I thought I had a pausing place something exciting would happen and I'd have to keep going. My eyes could hardly keep up with my brain! Lost some sleep with this book!! 😄
I am almost finished with this series. It’s so ridiculous. All the politics. All the over explaining of things. It’s just so dumb, but I’m not a quitter. So I’m seeing this through. I am always shocked at the 5 star reviews on these.
I loved this story, all the books in this series were very good. I loved reading about the ghosts, kidnapping, the rescues and of course karma for the bad guys. I am sad because of the end of the series. I could read about the mediums by the beach in Oregon for a long time yet. I do hope the author writes a few more books.
This series had SO much promise. I loved the characters and the story lines… until about book 17. I don’t know if I just didn’t notice the way the author over-explained EVERYTHING or if it’s worse in the later books. It’s too bad. I feel like I’m only reading them now because I’m not a quitter.
I just love this series so much! In this book things are hopping on Beach Drive with 2 weddings in the offing. Meanwhile a group of criminals are planning their own nefarious activities and those plans include kidnapping and theft.
Danielle Marlowe, pregnant with twins, is hosting one of the weddings, at Marlowe House, so the B&B is temporarily closed to guests except for her friend Lily's sister, Laura. Lily is also pregnant again and experiencing morning sickness. The mediums of Beach Drive do their usual detecting with the help of the ghosts. No fears, it all turns out fine, as usual. But what a delicious read!
This series has some quirky characters and events. Sticking with it for 32 books allows the reader to enjoy getting to know the town, the main and side characters, and the various stories. Danielle has been kidnapped in the past, so one might assume she would be on high alert. She and Walt should have installed security systems long ago and relying on Max to watch over and protect them is unfair to a nice cat. Thankfully this book had both Kelly and her mother minimized, absent would be better. Looking forward to the next book and the birth of the twins.

At least Kelly was less annoying in this one, mostly because we didn’t see her much. Kind of funny with all the buildup to her wedding over several books, it’s kind of an afterthought at the end.
The ridiculous notions around pregnancy are so antiquated. It’s treated as a disease, not a natural part of life. Women can jog, work, lead an active life when they’re pregnant. It’s weird the author doesn’t seem to know that so far in to the 21st century.
If I have to hear one more thing about cinnamon rolls…🙄
After Charlie Cramer's arrest for murder, he escapes from jail and everyone is on edge - especially Heather Donovan, who helped put him away. But with the planning of two weddings, the worries about Charlie are put on hold ... and that's a BIG mistake. Not to mention, Lily's sister Laura is in town for Kelly and Joe's wedding, and on one of her morning dog walks, she runs into a handsome new neighbor, who requests that she keep him a secret! That should be a huge RED FLAG, but Laura does as he wishes ... and that's a BIG mistake.
Danielle and her friends are getting ready for two weddings. The group from Beach Drive are hoping for some peace. Laura mets a man who pays attention to her and listens to what she says, but is Frank everything he seems to be. Brothers Hal and Stuart are out to get rich. Everone knows its not that easy, karma is a bitch and will bite hard. Another superbly written mystery in the series. A must read for all lovers of the supernatural world.
I have read all 32 books in the series. They never disappoint. I feel by now that Danielle, Lily, Chris, Heather, Brian and Joe are all good friends. Walt and Ian too. It's fun to think that so much paranormal activity can go on in one town. My only concern is that I am worried that with two new babies on the way that the series is coming to a close. I hope not· Give the series a try. Start with book one. Happy reading.
The criminal really never gets away with much especially if they just left prison and where trying to con their way to an easy life. This one had me thinking about who Frank was because I believed like everyone that he was in Canada. That thru me for a loop. With how easily they all can come up with a lie on the fly is remarkable. I think so me of the non-knowing are going to be in the knowing soon. Maybe Not!!💙💚
Another awesome novel!! I recommend this entire series to any one that likes the paranormal genré. It's extremely well written and takes you by the hand to lead you through fantastic storylines. Advertised as standalones, it's better to start at the beginning, The Ghost Of Marlowe House. That way you're introduced to the characters that are amazing and the foundation of the series. Then as new characters are brought in, seeing the relationships develop adds a great dimension to each book.
So, you knew what would happen to Charlie, but the fill in stuff was done well. Laura however, is a twit and likely will get lost traveling and will show up as a ghost..... The first book in a while where Kelly wasn't full on annoying... gotta love Joe's granny... I see #33 has just been published... then I have to wait like everyone else... oh well. Good series to listen to while walking, I've zipped thru all of them this year.
All the things they had to go thru to get final closure from the criminals. Half has been no good since early in the series so not off he met a terrible end. Cramer was shifty but not shifty enough. Loved how Heather acted when his ghost visited during her lunch. Eva & Marie are a great help but the animals aren't too bad either. Max is a very smart cat.
The Ghost and the Wedding Crasher (Haunting Danielle book 23 by Bobbi Holmes. Anna j.Mctinyre
This was another winner. I highly recommend all her books. This is my favorite series. And one of my favorite Authors. She writes wonderful mysteries and has wonderful characters in all her books. I have read all her books and loved everyone of them. Diana Romano
One of the things I like about this series is that the characters don't forget what has happened to them before. Still, I sometimes forget earlier plots. This one was delightfully convoluted. I also like that even the ghosts don't know what's going on, and there isn't a one size fits all explanation.
While still a good story, the “action” didn’t occur until late in the story. I did guess at some of the mystery midway through the book, but I wasn’t sure until the last several chapters. The resident ghosts play important roles, but the book is more about friend connections than the mystery/murder/ghost.
I have been ill for a while and I started reading this just before
I'm so glad that I have picked up where I left off over a year ago. I didn't need to start again because I could never forget any Haunting Danielle books. I have enjoyed each and everyone. I really hope ghosts do exist, just not when I'm on my own
n Laura went to visit Frank at his home and he pulled out a knife and was going to kill her. Later it was revealed that Frank was in reality Charlie Cramer and had Been murdered. But if Frank was a ghost, how did he use his cell phone when he was trying to call Hal? Very cofusing plotline!
Wow!! This was a really good one!! Well…. I probably say that with all of them I read. This was twisty though, for the life of me I couldn’t figure out who the ghost was. The ending clarifies it. Not what I was expecting. I cannot wait until the next book!!!!! Happy Reading :)
I absolutely love this series, I couldn't help but read straight through, I couldn't out it down. It's amazing how Bobbi Holmes comes up with great storylines book after book in one series. I highly recommend this book and series.
I love this series!!! Always full of adventure, suspense, humor, and fun! I really enjoy the antics of family pets Max, Sadie, and Hunny! I especially loved the role Max had in being the hero! Never ever boring or predictable, I hope the story continues on and on and on....
I have read this entire series, enjoying all the stories. I consider this the best yet because the mystery was ingenious. I don’t want to write a spoiler for this, so I cannot say more. I hope she continues with this series because it is thoroughly entertaining!
I have read all 32 books of the series and they do not disappoint. I have enjoyed reading them all. And looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank you Bobbi Holmes for the enjoyable reads.
Thieves plan to rob Danielle of her gold coins and jewel necklace. They attempt this action by kidnapping Lili’s sister, Laura, and holding her for ransom. Max the cat, Marie and Eva all help with the rescue and defusing the bomb set to blow up Laura. Fun side stories with two weddings.
