I'll be honest - this is not one of the books I read, but when I saw it I decided that this book would be a wonderful challenge for me. I was interested to see how the M/M theme was combined with the harem of a particularly demanding and domineering Mistress.
Also, the cover and synopsis intrigued me, so I decided to read it. The book turned out to be extremely easy and enjoyable to read.
Greg is the main character who introduces us to Veronica's "realm" and her harem. I have to admit that at first I didn't expect to like him as a character, but fact - there was something unique about him that made me sympathize with him.
In fact, all the other characters in Chandra Storm's Assessment stand out as personalities that contribute to the development of the story.
Of course, there were also an awful lot of sexy moments and ones where Veronika shined completely in her Mistress.

I also liked that in the kinky scenes the emphasis was on safe sane and consensual.

Negative: I pretty much hated this. Veronica may keep her harem in style, but she is a terrible domme with very little intuition or control. There was no talk of safewords, except "just say if there's something you don't like". She completely dropped the ball after the first scene, and Greg freaked out and ended up seriously injuring himself, trying to get away from the mansion. The use of a spotter/buddy was weird, as if Veronica was delegating her responsibility. Mario should not have to apologize to Greg for not sensing his distress, and he really shouldn't have to warn Greg to pace himself in the beginning because Veronica had a tendency to overdo it with her new toys.
The whole dynamic was fucked up, and I regret not DNF'ing. I kept hoping that things would get better or get explained (like the gay job applicant getting a handjob from the woman employer?!), but the book just ended. And since the next book (according to the preview) starts with the main character having another panic attack because the domme fucks up once more, I'm going to stay the hell away from this writer in the future.
Positive: It finally gave me the push I needed to close my Booksirens account. Free ARCs sounded fun in theory, but the reality has been disappointing.

Chandra is a new to me author, and I enjoy reading BDSM books with a plot, so when I came across this one I knew I had to read it.
There was a lot about Greg's character that surprised me. He's not your stereotypical ex-MMA fighter, which initially threw me off - in a good way. The story starts off with him closing the door on a major chapter of his life, and stepping into another. Talk about a 180-turn though! It was refreshing to follow the story through his eyes, and how he struggled to come to terms with what his new normal is. Also, how he came to terms with the parts of himself that he always felt he had to keep hidden, all while surrounded by like-minded individuals who helped him with this. I did feel like the BDSM aspects of the story were more secondary (personal opinion), but how Chandra weaves the character's story arcs this works.
And Frankly, Veronica's home sounds like the type I'd want to hang out in all the time… for research purposes, of course!
I can't wait to dive into the next one, Induction. Review to come!

I was given an ARC of this book and am excited to share my thoughts about it. The characters in this book are diverse in so many ways. I really found the lack of importance attached to identity labels enriching. It made paramount the concept that we are all really just human. The premise of the book enticed me and my innate sense of curiosity. I appreciated the underlying angst that created Greg's need to explore a new life was shadowed enough that I was seeking more. Once the house, the dynamics, the people, and the 'weird' started to show up it got over the top engrossing to read this awesome book. It isn't a long book I read it in several hours and have great excitement for the next book. Chandra Storm is a talented writer that I am grateful to have stumbled across and my biggest hope is that there will be much more of their work in the coming months. Take a leap and sit down with this book. If you are a M/M romance reader and /or enjoy great varied BDSM adventure this is a home run of a book. I appreciated the opportunity to receive an ARC of this wonderful book.

Greg is a former MMA fighter no longer able to fight due to an unrelated injury. He is basically homeless and jobless when he hears about a live-in personal trainer position for a wealthy widow on a secluded estate. When he is invited for an interview, he decides to check it out, even though it sounds too good to be true. When he arrives at the estate he finds Veronica, a beautiful woman, and 5 handsome men as the workers on the estate. A tour of the house also includes an introduction to the BDSM dungeon. Greg must decide if living and working here, while possible exploring some kinks, is really what he is looking for.
The book has Strong characters, an interesting plot and a setup for possibly multiple books with backstories on the other characters and their kinks with Veronica as Mistress. Not a long read but a good one to lay the groundwork for more to come.

I really enjoyed this book. I wasn't sure what to expect when I read this, but I was pleasantly surprised. Greg comes ti Veronica's home looking for a job after his MMA career ends. He's partly in the closet and reeling from his injury and career change. He wasn't sure what to expect when he showed up, but nothing could have prepared him for what he saw.
I really enjoyed the dynamics in this. It was fun, and a little out there, but I think the kink was well written and taken seriously. I enjoyed that all of the guys kind of had their own things and own kinks and how Veronica helped nurture all of them and give them a safe space. I'm curious about the things Greg is hiding and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. To be honest, I wanted to read it as I was anticipating the smut, which was present. I was, however, taken aback by the character development established in such a short book. With reverse harem books, it's easy for some male characters just to be names and have no substance, but that wasn't the case for this book. Another unique thing about this book is that the pov is solely from a member of the harem and not the female mc which definitely works in this case. I am so happy I stumbled across this book and author and I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Diese Geschichte macht alles richtig, was gewisse andere BDSM-Geschichten *hust*Shadesofgrey*hust* falsch gemacht haben. Die Charaktere haben Tiefgang, es wird auf Consent und Grenzen geachtet und wir erleben die Struggles des Protagonisten, sich mit seinen eigenen Vorlieben anzufreunden.
Sehr angenehm und kurzweilig zu lesen - fast ein bisschen zu schnell, denn jetzt muss ich ungeduldig auf den nächsten Teil warten.

I received this kinky why choose novel as an ARC. We follow Greg from his POV during his interview for a job with kinky perks. I very much appreciate the open communication about everyone's needs and ongoing consent. My favorite thing is, that the characters are diverse and unique with differing personalities and needs. And I love the dynamic between the characters and the individual relationships. It is rare for a reverse harem to not focus mostly on the woman but on a gay character within the harem. This is definitely book one in a series and I intend to continue reading it.

I don’t really know where to begin. This book was written well and I enjoyed it, but I didn’t feel overly connected to any of the characters. There was so much growth in Greg’s character but I never really felt the connection with Mario that was implied nor with anyone else.
This is the first book by this author for me, and I will definitely try another because I enjoyed the book. I am just left feeling like I didn’t get the end of the story or something. I am not really sure.

So, I really liked the book. I think it suits me quite well. An M/M romance, a reverse harem, BDSM, the woman leads... What more could you ask for?! Of course, if you're not into that kind of thing, I don't recommend the book. But I really loved it!
Chandra Storm had the ability to make me understand all the stages in character development (especially Creg).
I'm just looking forward to volume 2.

While I loved Greg and how his character developed and found himself, I didn't care for Veronica. I dunno...she just felt too controlling. I can't explain it except that she rubbed me the wrong way, no pun intended 😅. I was also wanting a lot more spice, especially involving Mario.
Overall, it was a great read and if there will be a sequel, I'd definitely read it!

I received this arc and am so grateful for the opportunity. Every arc I review I always give it everything I have . I want to preface this by saying I think everyone should give this book a try and while I read and finished it . It wasn’t my favorite it just wasn’t my style of book I normally read . I think that the author is amazing and I’m proud of them for publishing books they work so hard on . Thank you again for the opportunity!

I love steamy novels but I love the building of the foundation before bam. I also love that it is reverse haremish. Would have like to have seen some of that but definitely loved this book and will definitely read again.

It had been a while for me to read a BDSM romance, but this was a great one to get back in the saddle! Love the characters and the dynamics, although I hope for some more depth in future books. There were also some loose ends, I do hope they will be knotted (pun intended) in the next book.

This book kept me wanting more. When a job interview takes some unusual turns, what do you do? This book let me jump in and put myself in the story. I got to pretend that I was the one looking for a new job. This story is full of gray character and an awesome story line that will keep you reading.

This was a weirdly fun read. I liked all the quirky characters and learning about all the dynamics for those who reside in this eccentric household. For shorter story there was good character development for multiple characters. I am intrigued to see what happens next in the story.

There are so many different characters in this story. One weirder then the next. Although, it seems to work. I am still deciding if I like Veronica. I guess I will figure thst out in book 2. I can't wait to jump into it.

This book was ok.
I enjoyed how fast and easy of a read it was. I loved the concept but I don’t think it was executed well.
I didn’t feel any connection to any of the characters.
Lack of explanation that caused one character to have a panic attack.
I don’t think I’ll be reading the next book.

Written well, and an enjoyable read, but the character connection fell short. Greg's growth shines but lacked deeper bonds with Mario and others. This is my first book by this author; intrigued to try another. The ending left me wanting more closure, which I'll hopefully get in the next book in the series.

Going into this I expected a lot more spice and a lot less plot. I was pleasantly surprised by how much character development there was in just over 200 pages.
Greg is a great protagonist and I love that the book is in first person, only giving the reader his perspective and prior knowledge. It really helps the reader understand the gravity of certain things that happen and why he reacts in certain ways.
All of the characters are unique and different in their own ways. There really isn't very much spice but it doesn't make much sense for there to be much more because of the characters and how they interact with each other.
