From early age, Raff Minzer showed a particular inclination toward lasagna and books in the same proportion. On a typical day, you might find him with a good novel in one hand and a mug of black coffee (honey-sweetened) in the other, or imagining playing tug-of-war with the puppy he dreams of adopting (eventually).

Don't know why the fuck the genre says M/M romance because there was none of that here.

The thing is, I really liked the plot of this book. But, it could use a lot of work. The author could've easily told this story 200 pages shorter, also, there were a lot of random unnecessary events going on every so often. For example, when Patrick crashes into the Christmas tree. Why did the author need to add that into the mix?

There were also a few typos here and there. But apart from those things, it was a great story.

Absolutely thrilling! It hooked me since page 1...I loved the suspense and the endearing main characters (Jack and Liz are my personal favs) I definitely recommend it.

This book is wild! Definitely another big winner for me. Witty, shocking, and seriously addictive. I loved Liz and Jack relationship, and I got super hooked on the unraveling of all the plot twists and mysteries.

Fun Holiday Thriller

Now while I enjoyed reading this there were a few things that could have been done differently that would have made it better. For instance I thought they revealed the killer to early on cause there was still a good amount of reading to be done after the big reveal.
The second thing that bugged me and this won't bother everyone but I happen to be in recovery and the author kept writing about the addictions of one of the characters only it was very very obvious that the author does not have a working knowledge on the subject and that made me crazy. Books in my opinion are always better when the author knows at least something about the topic they are writing about. All I can say is thank goodness that wasn't a main theme in the book or my review would have been different.

Would put this in about the 2.5 stars.
The story and idea are good, but the way this was written I did not enjoy. There are like 9 parts, which I get but definitely feel that the bouncing around made it hard to connect to all the charecters, except Liz and Jack which are 2 of the first ones in the book. I spent probably the first 3rd of the book trying to pace things together and keep characters straight.
