Widower Samuel Mast returned to Hunters Ridge a year ago as penance for his wife's death in the Outside world. He's living a solitary life when he discovers Lavina waiting alone at night in a thunderstorm and offers her a ride.

Samuel invites Lavina to stay with him and his aunt until she locates her friend. It soon becomes apparent that the woman's disappearance has little to do with cold feet. As more time passes, Lavina and Samuel grow closer.

Can they find Lavina's friend safe and protect their hearts?

Need More!!

I have now read all 8 Hunters Ridge books!! I enjoyed all of the books, but I believe there needs to be one more book letting us know what happened to all the families we read about!!!! Some were mentioned in other books and the rest were were forgotten.. If all the stories had not about a small community I would not thought any more about it!!
Please take time and read all 8 books that were well written and enjoyable!!

God’s Plan for Hope and a Future

I don’t need 20 words to say that I loved this story. The characters are warm and likable with enough
independent strength to face tough choices. The addition of a mystery and particularly a faith thread to this romantic story provide hours of entertainment.

Good story about a young Amish woman wanting to leave the religion and her family. A mystery about the woman who was to meet her who disappeared. A romance with the man who rescues the first young woman. Two people who find each other. Realistic characters and story.
