I REALLY ENJOYED READING THIS ANTHOLOGY! I have read this book twice and each time I learn something new. I foresee me reading it again in the future. There is something really special about a mother and daughter relationship, but there's history within the black mother-daughter relationship, good and bad, but this book quilts our stories together.
I loved the mix of poetry, story, personal essay, and literary reflections. Learning from these women about their experiences as mothers and daughters was powerful.
