Almost Immortal
Sometimes a three-thousand-year-old vampire just needs to unplug and go on a blood-guzzling bender.
A common need over Karim’s lifetime, but one that has been increasingly difficult to enjoy in the technology-dominated global surveillance state. There were not many places left where a vampire could hunt undetected, but the Ugandan jungles remained such a sanctuary. While Karim’s companions tended to vampire business, he loaded up on supplies and went off the grid on a much needed kill-cation.
When he emerged from the African jungles a few years later, Karim found himself in an unrecognizable apocalyptic world manipulated by sentient artificial intelligence.
As Karim makes his way toward Cairo, he discovers the villages and cities in startling ruin. The human population has been decimated by famine, war, and an unseen enemy. Modern technology appears to have been rendered inoperable aside from the robots indiscriminately hunting survivors.
Have ancient enemies resurfaced, or have humans finally brought about their own demise?
While on his trek to reunite with his companions, Karim begins to uncover the true source of destruction. As the human population continues to dwindle, Karim fears that he and his vamp mates will soon be faced with their own mortality.

This book is a fresh and exciting take on vampire mythology. An action packed and bloody good time, the author really knows how to craft memorable characters, ramp up the tension, and blend genres smooth enough that you don’t even notice until the next thrill hits. A must read for any lover of vampires and SciFi! Can’t wait to read more!!!

Awesome concepts that could even be cool stories on their own, but they become merged together in a seamless and easy to follow way. I really liked the historical references, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Unique twist on the vampire genre that incorporates historical milestones woven with modern day AI woes. Karim is a likable, yet unpredictable protagonist who makes me want to keep reading to see what he will do next.
