FBI Agent Jo Pullinger is tasked to solve a baffling new case, one that will affect someone close to her.
As the sun sets on a quiet highway, a routine traffic stop takes a deadly turn. When Special Agent Jo Pullinger arrives on the scene, she finds a man dead in the back of a semi-truck and the driver in custody, charged with murder. But as she delves deeper into the case, she realizes that the driver is the older brother of a fellow agent, and she must navigate the complex personal and professional ties as she searches for the truth.
Meanwhile, Detective Bryan Ford is tasked with investigating what appears to be a suicide. But as he pieces together the clues, he begins to suspect that there may be more to the death than meets the eye. As he digs deeper, he uncovers a decades-old mystery that will lead him to a shocking conclusion.
When Jo and Ford's cases intersect, they must join forces to solve the puzzle and find out who is behind all these murders.
Fans of James Patterson, David Baldacci, and Harlan Coben will love this new series!
THOMAS FINCHAM holds a graduate degree in Economics. His travels throughout the world have given him an appreciation for other cultures and beliefs. He has lived in Africa, Asia, and North America. An avid reader of mysteries and thrillers, he decided to give writing a try. Several novels later, he can honestly say he has found his calling. He is married with two kids, and he lives in a hundred-year-old house. He is the author of LEE CALLAWAY series, the HYDER ALI series, the MARTIN RHODES series, and the ECHO ROSE series.
For having a career in economics, Author Fincham certainly has a way with words!
A convoluted concoction of inadvertent misrepresentations-cum-fraud, a fleeing accused, seemingly random, unrelated deaths - some clearly homicides, some less clear-cut - what a ride!
FBI Special Agent Jo Pullinger is an amazing woman... and agent! She has a keen mind and a desire to "bring the bad guys down." She works very hard... and has many long hours and days... whatever it takes to solve the case... but... she does NOT want to bring in an innocent person! When her mind tells her to consider other options, she MUST do so... she WANTS to get the "bad guys" ... but she wants do be thorough and careful. Jo works with Seattle PD Detective Bryan Ford... whom she has worked with previously. Ford goes a bit rogue during this case. Jo also works with FBI Special Agent Lewis McKinley... who is so very good at digging up information and people whom Jo needs to solve her case. A problem comes up in her case and it involves McKinley's brother... who is trying to get a fresh start in life... but gets involved with some undesirable people... quite unintentionally. Due to this... Agent McKinley also goes rogue... it gets complicated. It's difficult to put this book down... but... life goes on... laundry... meal prep... housework... you get the idea... I've had to put it down to deal with "life happening!" Enjoy...
Another winner from Thomas Fincham. A KILLER’S SOUL is a great read with lots of action and great characters. Jo Pullinger, a lady FBI agent, is a dead-eyed shooter when necessary and an investigative genius. Her surrounding characters are excellent as well. The bodies stack up before this book ended. The violence is never gratuitous and Fincham seems to know what to include and what to exclude. I look forward to reading more of this series.
Read this in one setting. One thing I love about this author is that his books flow so easily and smoothly. He has characters that are really easy to like and storylines that feel real.
Jo and Ford. They have a partnership like no other and I love it. One is a federal agent and one is a police detective. This time they are working two separate cases, or so they think. Their families are adorable and I love how they connected their cases bc Fords wife said to go talk to Jo. Their trustof each other and their job skill sets solved the cases and led to some major action scenes. The action is full throttle in this book with murders, prison violence, shootouts, and more. Other FBI agents had more time in the cases, such as McKinley who blew my mind with how different his personality became in this book. I loved the ending with his reporting for duty. The dreams and career change was unexpected but has me excited for future books!
This is the 3rd in the series following FBI Agent, Jo Pullinger. She will be working again with Detective Bryan Ford, as their paths will meet on a case she is investigating.
One of the agent's brother has been arrested for murder. At a traffic stop, they made him open the doors to the trucks trailer and found a dead man. Now the death of this man ties in with a case that Bryan is following of an apparent suicide. But, was it suicide? The woman had everything to live for, she had a wedding in a few weeks and a honeymoon planned. How do these cases fit together?
Another one to follow to keep up with Jo Pullinger!
I love this series and the way Fincham unravels the plot. Jo Pullinger is an FBI agent. I have really enjoyed this one. Since she has the heart of a killer, her approach is often motivated to keep digging until she finds the answer. She gets involved in this one because a fellow agent wants her to find out if his brother who is charged with murder, is guilty or not. This ends up coinciding with an apparent suicide of a young lady just before her wedding. So many questions but few and answers.
FBI agent Jo Pullinger is tasked with finding out what happened when a dead body is found in a truck. She is also asked by an agent friend to look into the guilt/innocence of his brother who is being held for that murder. Meanwhile a Seattle detective is looking into a young woman murdered right before her wedding. As both of these cases get more convoluted it becomes apparent that they are in fact connected. With a stellar cast of characters, non stop action and a very well written storyline your head will be spinning before you reach the end.
Thomas Fincham sure knows how to capture the readers attention and keep it glued to the words. Full of more than enough action, intrigue and crime solving. This one was more involved for the fact that two cases were really one. Just with many, many moving parts. Highly recommend.
Fast paced story of FBI and local police working together to fight crime. Jo Pullinger needs help from her old friend Ford. Together they work and fight to bring down a murdering ring. Very well written and planned. You will have trouble putting the book down until finished. Read and enjoy.
So Agent Jo has entered another episode of cat And mouse, teaming up with Detective Dave to track down one murder after another. She enlisted Agent Lewis McKinley to track a few nefarious criminals in order to solve senseless crimes. Good storyline using several avenues to settle old disputes. Thanks TF
A great story, full of action and drama, and more twists and turns than a rollercoaster. An excellent read, and I loved the ending too. Looking forward to the next one!
A great series with so many twists it makes you dizzy. Agent Jo Pullinger is asked buy a fellow agent to help him find out if his brother is guilty of murder or not as he's a long criminal record and the family doesn't believe he's innocent. Would definitely recommend.
Man, I loved it! I love this character. I would not mind for Martin Rhodes and Jo Pullinger books to be written together. Mr. Fincham keep up the excellent writing.
A complex case, with long reaching elements. Chaotic criminals raise the body count. Jo and Ford work together to catch the person responsible. Jo & Ford make a great team and I thoroughly enjoy reading about their investigation methods.
This was an interesting read. A lot of mystery going on. This is my 3rd book. I really enjoyed it. I like it because it has the same character's in it. Everyone that likes a !it of twist and turns will love this book. On to boom 4 now.
Fincham does a masterful job of taking what seems to be unrelated plots and weaving them together. I am always amazed by his skill. The characters are real, and the reader feels they are friends.
Interwoven cases, cross-department work. Ford and Jo back together. Lots of flying bullets and a journalist thrown in for good measure. What's not to like?
Mr. Funchal has such a way with words and stories. He has made Agent Pullinger and Det. Ford come to life, such suspense and action and mystery, keeps me reading to late in the night.
A good continuation to this series. The plot line is complex enough to keep you interested. The pages flow because the writing style is easy to follow. This is a good binge series, plan on reading all the books in this series.
The author keeps one on their toes trying to figure things out. When you think you about got it the story takes another turn. Keeps you guessing even to the end. If one likes mysteries this is a book for you.
This book is amazing. The storyline is great and the suspense is spellbinding! I have read every book this author has written and loved every one of them.
