Everyone loves a Christmas surprise––just not when it's a spy in disguise. Lacee:
I'll be home for Christmas...alone was the plan, but everything changes when I bump into a handsome stranger who always seems to be in the right place at the right time. So there's a new plan, a plan that involves a casual holiday fling. Merry Christmas to me.
But spending the holidays with Park Bradshaw in my charming hometown turns into Mission Impossible when I find out his knife skills go way beyond carving the Christmas ham.
Now I'm on the run, living out my own Christmas version of Die Hard, where making it home in time for Christmas is the least of my worries. I just want to make it home alive ––and hopefully not lose my heart to the one man I'm not sure I can trust.
Because as the countdown to Christmas ticks on like a bomb, I'm left wondering which side he's on.
◆ Later On We'll Conspire is a laugh-out-loud, closed-door romance full of sizzle, chemistry, and witty banter that might require you to suspend a little disbelief.
◆ Enjoy the other books in the Christmas Escape series that can be read in any order:
Christmas Baggage by Deborah M. Hathaway Host for the Holidays by Martha Keyes Faking Christmas by Cindy Steel A Newport Christmess by Jess Heileman A Not-So Holiday Paradise by Gracie Ruth Mitchell Later On We'll Conspire by Kortney Keisel Cotswolds Holiday by Kasey Stockton
Kortney graduated from the University of Utah with an English degree and spent a few years before motherhood teaching 7th and 8th graders how to write a book report, among other things. But after a reading slump, where no plots seemed to satisfy, Kortney pulled out her laptop and started writing the "perfect" love story...or at least she tried. Writing love stories is her job...just kidding. Her real job is taking care of her five awesome kids and spending time with her husband.
Kortney loves a good romance movie or book, warm chocolate chip cookies, and traveling the world.
I feel conflicted about this book. On one hand I was LOVING it. I love the premise and it's so funny, I was laughing out loud a lot. But the constant innuendos. And how many times do we have to see Park in his underwear??? Yes, technically, this book is clean, but it's still more stuff than I'm personally comfortable with. Oherwise, this book was great. The banter was top tier, the situations, while sometimes silly, were hilarious, plus SPIES. I'm really sad to dnf.
Content warnings for the first 163 pages: Lacee accidentally walks in on Park in a fitting room and he's only in his underwear. Later they share a bed, nothing happens, but again, Park isn't wearing PANTS. Park changes Lacee into pajamas while she's unconscious, but he tries not to look at her. Lots of kissing. Their plan is to have a Christmas fling and "kiss through the holidays." Lots of innuendos and describing what Park looks like without clothes on. Multiple people are killed, but it's not bloody or descriptive at all.
Later On We’ll Conspire by Kourtney Keisel Contemporary romantic suspense. Dual POV. Closed door. Lacee is going home to her parents for the holidays. Having a handsome and fun man along for the ride is unexpected and apparently a bit dangerous. He says his mother lives in the same small town and since her rental car from the airport is somehow cancelled, her only option is to accept his ride offer. But there seems to be some strange men following Park.
🎧 I listened to an audiobook version narrated by Amanda Friday and Andy Harrington. This is an interactive pairing of voices instead of chapter specific so the performance is almost like a conversation. It’s the ultimate dual narration. Both do a fantastic job with their person as well as narrating to the audience. Playing off each other was especially fun with the two voices. I listened at my usual speed of 1.5 and still feel that because it matches reading and conversational levels, that I didn’t miss anything.
The mystery and spy games were fun and since Lacee had so many active and physically demanding hobbies we know that she would be good at spy games. And she clearly is even when caught up in the madness that seems to follow Park. I really liked Park’s honor of protecting and trying to help his partner. He’s a good guy and it shows. The banter was over the top humerus and the innuendo entertaining. It’s a fast read as situations closely followed each other without lags. A light hearted spy game holiday romance.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley and Dreamscape Select.
I've been chewing over this all weekend trying to figure out how to review it. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it.
The things I liked:
*The banter between Lacee and Park was so fun. *Fast-paced...it never seemed to drag and I liked that.
Things I didn't like:
*The innuendo was a little much for me. It would still be classified as clean, but it definitely pushed the boundaries IMHO. *I get that it's a Christmas book, but some of the Christmasy references were either too forced or repeated. (I believe "it looked like Christmas vomited" was repeated 2-3x in the book) *A lot of the situations and reactions by the characters were really unrealistic. It made me pause and wonder what was wrong with them for them to respond that way. It really took me out of the story.
>>>SMALL SPOILER<<<< This is an action book, so I knew that there might be deaths. I'm fine with that. I read suspense. However, a bad guy is killed in a pretty gruesome way and the two MCs spend like a page and a half justifying why it wasn't their fault that he died...but not only that, they also are making fun of him. Yes, he was a bad guy. No, we don't need to sit over his body and make fun of him.
Overall, not horrible, but also not one I would read again.
This one was really cute! Kinda far out, but also so fun. It was a fun blend of action spy movie and a romcom and what’s not to love about that? And the plot twist?! Didn’t see that one coming at all! Very fun. • Four out of five
(10/24) Kortney Keisel is one of my favorite romcom writers and I LOVED listening to this favorite narrated by Andy Harrington and Amanda Friday–they are definite favorites! I love the way they read the characters and bring them to life with humor, wit, and swoon. I fell in love all over again with this holiday gem.
(01/23)A jolting, crackling kiss on an escalator. An instant attraction interlaced with danger. A cross-country trip that will swoon your fuzzy socks off. This story was all that I hoped for and more!
I was pleasantly surprised and amazed by the way this story encompasses not only a Christmas romcom, with all the swoon and laughs, but also embraces a stunning romantic suspense/spy story. This is like finding melty chocolate chips in the middle of my cinnamon roll!
The characters, Park and Lacee, were perfection in the way they bantered, engaged, and "kissed their way through the holidays." I couldn't get enough of them and their unpredictable situation. I went through all the emotions, including twists and turns that left me breathless.
I won't forget this holiday escape and I loved every single second of it!
Content: mild romance; mild moments of danger/peril. Death/killing.
If you’re looking for a unique holiday romance, this is it. Read this book. I’ve been waiting for this one since it was announced and it did not disappoint.
I loved the hidden identities spy mystery plot. It’s still kept light and humorous, but adds that bit of an intense edge that plays off of everything else beautifully. Lacee and Park end up having to work together and you wouldn’t believe the sparks that fly off of these two.
The plot meandered just a bit for me and I think that’s why I’m feeling closer to a four star. Don’t get me wrong, LOVED this book, but there’s something holding me back.
The story itself had me speeding through it and I liked the level of Christmas feels it gives. There’s plenty of fiery banter (and faaantastic) kisses that I love, especially in categorically sweet romances. The twists are easy to guess yet so entertaining to watch unfold. I laughed out loud quite a bit and think this is one of the better Christmas books I’ve ever read. I love when things feel fresh!
Super cute and fun romantic comedy with laugh out loud humor. I'm sure I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading. This book to me was Hallmark meets Knight and Day. Which was right up my alley. Clean with swoony kisses. The characters were so endearing. I truly hope the author will do more books with the fun loving co operative spies.
This Christmas romcom was a unique and fun take on the spy world. If you enjoyed the movie, Knight & Day, then you will probably be a fan of this story. The quirky bits of humor thrown in definitely reminded me of that film.
The scenarios are over the top, as is the sizzling chemistry between Lacee and Park. There was romance, danger, action, humor, and some fun twists in this adventure. I listened to the audio book and really enjoyed the duet narration.
This is a fun romcom, but be aware that it is a lighthearted spy thriller, as well, so there are bad guys that attack the main characters and those bad guys generally end up dead. This was the first spy romcom that I have read and I found it to be a fun diversion from reality.
I received a complimentary copy of this audio book. All opinions are my own.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Steam Level: 🔥 (kissing only) Trigger Warning: murder, torture, brief mentions of dementia and abandonment
CIA operative Park Bradshaw has just received his next mission: recover one of two microchips containing valuable information and then deliver it to his partner. It seems like a simple enough mission until he has a run-in with Lacee Warren at the mall while trying to escape with the microchip. Suddenly he ends up getting her entangled in his mission, and it doesn't hurt that he's also attracted to her. What's the harm in a few innocent kisses and snuggles while he's undercover? As Park's feelings for Lacee become more of a distraction, the mission also becomes much more complicated. Soon secrets are uncovered and lives are put at risk. Will this spy be able to complete his mission successfully without breaking Lacee's heart along the way?
Oh my word, this book was everything I hoped it would be! There was romance, action, mystery, holiday spirit, and so much more! I loved the chemistry between Park and Lacee and their flirty banter. The way they met and were forced together was so much fun, and I enjoyed their holiday fling in the first half of the book. Then the action really kicked in during the second half, and it was fun to see Lacee react as Park unleashed his sexy, butt-kicking spy persona. There was also a plot twist that had me squealing with excitement. I honestly didn't see it coming until just before it was revealed, and I loved it! I was so invested and binged this in one day so that I wouldn't have to wait to see how it all played out. I could totally see this being made into a movie- I need Park's bare chest and black briefs in high definition 😍🔥 If you want something different from the usual holiday romances, then be sure to check this one out!
I'm not a big fan of romantic suspense, but I love Kortney Keisel AND the Christmas Escape series, so I had to give this a try!
Following Park Bradshaw, one of the best operatives in the CIA, and Lacee Warren, an electrochemist, this was a fun story filled with high-stakes action, mystery, and of course a swoon-worthy romance.
After stumbling into Park in a dressing room (involving a hilariously heated exchanged in his black briefs) Lacee unknowingly becomes roped into a dangerous mission involving a computer chip. And goodness, I loved their immediate chemistry! Park was irresistibly confident, always equipped with a flirty comeback.
As Park cons his way into heading home for Christmas with Lacee, it was a super unique mix of suspense and holiday festivities. It was so sweet to see Park experience a little normality in his life. And even though I saw the twist coming, I enjoyed seeing how it would reveal.
But the guns, the fighting, the murder ... it got a little too intense for me, especially in the last 25%. This is entirely a me issue though, so I'd totally recommend this story for anyone that loves romantic suspense and wants a one-of-a-kind holiday read!
This book was a perfect way to finish my reading for 2022! It’s a Christmas/adventure/spy/romcom—a unique combination that totally worked, and was just such a fun, wild ride!
Park Bradshaw is one of the best operatives in the CIA. Lacee Warren is a brilliant electrochemist. They meet at a mall while Lacee is doing some Christmas shopping, and afterwards Park keeps unexpectedly turning up. Soon, Lacee ends up on the run with him in a story reminiscent of the Tom Cruise movie, "Knight and Day.”
I was completely hooked from the action packed beginning until the sweet last chapter. This was a FUN story filled with a lot of action, great banter, plot twist, some silliness, a sweet romance, and lovely Christmas spirit. I absolutely loved it!
Later On We’ll Conspire has Christmas themes, but it would be an entertaining read year-round.
CW: there are some instances of PG-13 type violence.
CIA agent Park is benched after screwing up an important assignment. When a colleague asks for his help with a dangerous mission he is eager to oblige. But when he starts a romance with Lacee and she gets caught up in all the danger, he realizes some things are more important than the job.
I DNFed this novel at 53%. The title and premise for Later On We'll Conspire are interesting. A mix of a spy thriller and a holiday romance? Yes, please. Sadly the execution falls short in nearly every aspect.
I have to admit I did not like this book from the very first sentence referencing Jeff Bezos. But I wanted to give this book a fair shake. Listen to at least half so I could write an informed review. Regrettably my gripes did not improve over the course of the book.
"His eyes are purple and full of annoyance. Either he's got some really cool contacts, or he's an anomaly. But based on the fact that no one can be born with purple eyes he's wearing colored contacts."
What stands out the most are the cookie cut characters and awkward dialogue. The characters have barely any personality besides being attracted to each other, and at times I seriously wonder how either of them is a functioning adult, let alone “one of the top CIA agents”. I'm pretty sure we are supposed to like Park, but a good portion of his actions are morally questionable at best. When a guy thinks a woman looks most beautiful when she is drugged and can't defend herself...that sets off alarm bells in my mind.
Holiday media is always a bit cheesy, and as a lover of the genre I embrace that. However Later On We'll Conspire takes it to a whole new level, where cheesy turns into cringe. While kissing Lacee, Park thinks:
"She's Rudolph and I'm Santa Claus. She's guiding the sleigh ride."
The plot is so predictable I am surprised this book wasn't published decades ago. It follows a lot of the classic 90s romcom clichés, including some of the more problematic aspects.
Now onto the narration. I think going for dual narration for this book was a wonderful move. It feels more dynamic and engaging. However the narration in general was another point where Later On We'll Conspire falls short.
The speed of the narration between the two narrators differs quite a bit which makes listening at a higher than 1x speed a bit annoying. The narration itself also wasn't very good. Andy Harrington did a passable job with Park. However I really didn't enjoy Amanda Friday's narration.
Firstly her tembre is nasally and staccato, which makes characters sound annoyed a majority of the time even when it doesn't fits the scene. Secondly her sentences often don't flow well from one to the other with long pauses between sentences. Thirdly all voices for female characters sound incredibly similar.
The ideal reader for Later On We'll Conspire is a fan of old school rom-coms with predictable characters and cheesy humour. Someone who can shut off the logical part of their mind and isn't bothered by social attitudes from a few decades ago.
TW: murder, mentions of disordered eating, non-consensual drug administration, undressing a drugged person, purposefully misleading a woman with dementia
Thank you Dreamscape Select and Kortney Keisel for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
When I first heard about this book, I was really looking forward to it. It sounded perfect, and it was. At least the first half of it. Or to be more accurate, the first third.
This felt like several different stories mashed into one book. The first third was what was promised to us in the description, which is what I signed up for when I picked it up. However, after Park and Lacee got to Washington and started their no-strings-attached-holiday-fling, I began to not like the direction the story was taking.
Then the halfway mark came around, and suddenly it was leaning more into the action and spy aspects of the story, which is fine, except the story felt like it was dragging on (and had been for the last twenty percent or so).
Then things seemed to be in the climax of the story, but there was still around forty percent still to go, so I was wondering what could possibly happen next. And then we're given the big plot twist.
First off, this twist had me stunned, but not in a good way. I was so stunned that I didn't even stop reading, just keep going while trying to wrap my mind around how much I was hating what was happening, while simultaneously trying to recall any...ANY easter eggs or red herrings that pointed to this twist. I couldn't recall any. In fact, I recalled the opposite.
Lacee as Lacee said, did, thought, reacted to, expected, and believed things that made zero sense for "Sienna Prime" to say, think, believe, etc. To me, it seemed like Lacee and Sienna were two separate characters, but then the author didn't know what to do with Sienna, so she merged Lacee and Sienna, making them the same character, but also into a separate third character who was neither Lacee nor Sienna, and that's who we got for the last chapters of the book.
Another reviewer put it well when they said the twist made them feel like they had been lied to. That's exactly how I feel about it! I was promised one book and given another.
That isn't even everything. Apart from the plot twist, there were too many innuendos, and the humor could be crude and bordered on explicit. There was also a lot of violence, including a gruesome death with acid, shown and detailed. That disturbing death was followed by a very poorly handled reaction from both the two main characters and the author. Carelessness and crass jokes about the newly deceased man and his corpse, which is still being eaten by acid before your very eyes? What little liking for the MCs I still had completely left me at that moment.
I ended up skipping completely over several percent of the book (the entire portion where I assume they took out the mole of the CIA) and didn't stop skimming until the last page of the epilogue, which I didn't even care to read more than the last couple lines.
Overall, I did enjoy the first portion, but I'm incredibly frustrated and disgusted by the rest. I did finish it, so I'm giving it a steady two stars, but I honestly wish I had DNF-ed at 30%.
This was my first dive into the Christmas Escape series and what flat-out fun read it was! This is not your average Christmas novel, this is a bit of a Christmas-themed, spy, romantic-suspense RomCom. And it works. It’s funny, action-packed, swoony, and sweet.
Things I Loved: -Parson Brown -What’s your flex? -Uncomplicated merry kissmas -“Park is my Christmas chimichanga, and the relationship rules are the antacids that protect my heart from getting burned.” -Blitzen -T-Rex hands -“…spending time with her is like being on chapter one of a thousand-page book and trying to read as fast as you can so you can get the entire story as soon as possible.” -Ornaments -Big Red (we call our red headed daughter Little Red 😂♥️) -Gingerbread house competition -The present -Mary Bradshaw -Intimate 😂 -Derek -The cutest HEA 😍
I laughed a lot while reading this one, got surprised by a couple of things, and really enjoyed this little mental escape from the holiday craziness while still staying in a festive mood. I am so excited to check out the rest of the Christmas Escape series!
Content Warning: A decent dose of innuendo in the joking for this one, still closed door, though—just steamy kisses. And because of the nature of the book there is a decent helping of being attacked and killing in self defense. The book maintains a lighthearted, RomCom tone throughout.
Possibly the most unique Christmas romance I have ever read! Loved the flirty banter, the characters and the cute romance.
I guessed the plot twist pretty early on and I think I would have enjoyed the book more if I hadn't because then I was just waiting for the twist to be revealed. Once it did, I got caught up in the story again wanting to know how it would resolve.
A couple of plot holes and some scenes taken directly from movies also keep me from rating it five stars, but overall, a fun read if you are looking for something different this holiday season!
CW: Lots of fighting and violence. Several killings, including one graphic. Couple of jokes that were not my taste but no language. Kissing only.
i was kinda confused the whole time. the writing was bad. but the romance+tension was good, and i loved love loved LOVED the ending and the confusing little plot. it was weird tho? because tell me WHY HE ENDED UP TELLING HER THAT HE WAS A SPECIAL AGENT????????? I know better than he does that you NEVER blow your cover and you never tell a random woman that you work for the CIA. none of this made sense. pls don't read this book, UNLESS you want some cringe moments and the occasional butterfly from a kiss they had. BUT UHG IK I'M CONTRADICTING MYSELF BUT THE HUMOR WAS FUNNY OK. ik I'm just an easy person to make laugh... but it was funny ok? and I loved the fact that her parents were candy makers 😋🤭 maybe like 2 stars?
So. Much. Fun! Fast moving plot, witty banter, tingling chemistry. Surprises and holiday cheer. What more could you ask for? For me? Nothing more. I loved this one.
I only had time for one Christmas novel this season, and I’m so glad I chose this one! No profanity, no sex, but lots of fun and action. Loved the spy theme and the thrill element that added to the story. The characters were very likable, and while I felt we didn’t get to know them super well on a personal level, the storyline moved quickly and was so entertaining that I didn’t care too much. I would definitely read more by this author!
This was such a fun book!! But…I have complicated feelings on it, so bear with me as I don’t know how to write this review. 😅
First, the things I liked!
Kortney Keisel has the perfect writing style for this Christmas, spy, romcom book, mixing laugh-out-loud humor, swoony romance, and intriguing action/mystery into the perfect blend! 😍 The characters were a blast and I loved Park’s sweetness and Lacee’s extraness. 😂 I loved how competitive they were, and their banter and chemistry was on point. 😍 Also the reindeer scene was hilarious 🤣🤣 Later On We’ll Conspire is a fun, light with some action story that has all the Christmas vibes without going overboard.
Now onto the things I didn’t really like…
I’ve always seen Kortney’s books as steamy-clean, where they have more heat than your typical “clean” book but without making you feel icky, but this one went a little far in my opinion. There was no bed scenes or anything, but Lacee and Park decided to have a holiday fling, where they’d just kiss through the holiday and then go their own separate ways. I don’t believe in dating someone that you don’t see yourself ever marrying, I believe you should date with a purpose, so reading this left me feeling weird because they wanted to just make out for a week and then separate. Plus there was a ton of references to a man’s crotch, and the MC describes a man’s hard butt in briefs when she accidentally runs into him half naked.
But the part that really brought it down and made it hard to enjoy is a plot twist we discover later on in the book. I’ll do my best to talk vaguely, but there will be some mild spoilers, so beware. ‼️ It’s revealed that one of the MCs aren’t what we thought they were, and while in the book description the author asks us to suspend our disbelief, this was just a bit much for me. 😅😅 Because that means the majority of the book when we’re in this character’s POV, it’s all been fake. There’s sooo many instances (and I scrolled back through on many occasions trying to make sense of this) where the character’s own inner thoughts and reactions to something are the complete opposite of what they should be if they really are this other thing. (Again trying to be vague for spoilers 😂) I can sort of understand words or actions not always lining up because people can act, but their own thoughts? The way they internally react to something happening or when hearing something? The level of two-facedness that was revealed was just too much. It’s completely unbelievable and doesn’t make any sense. Honestly, I feel like I’ve been cheated and lied to, and that’s not the feeling you want to have when reading a book. 😅🥲 By the end of the book I’d accepted the twist (and really it’s a great plot twist, just would’ve been better put on character you DON’T go to the POV of) and liked how it turned out, but the way the author wrote it just didn’t work for me.
I’m not saying any of this to be mean or rude, and hope I don’t come across as such, because I did enjoy this book and have absolutely loved all of Kortney’s previous ones, this one just wasn’t a favorite because of the stated reasons above. Definitely still give Later On We’ll Conspire a try, just understand you’ll need to MAJORLY suspend your belief for it. 😂 Because all in all it was still a really fun read that I finished in just a couple days!
Anyone who knows me, knows I love a good spy story. When I was younger I absolutely DEVOURED the Gallagher Girls books and the Alex Rider books (both teen spy series)! Mission Impossible movies? Watched them and loved them! Alias? AMAZING! Chuck? One of my favorite TV shows! Knight and Day? One of my favorites movies! So long story short… This book was just about made for me! A Spy Rom-Com? With a dash of Hallmark? Sign me the heck up for that! 🙌🏻😍
This book did not disappoint! It was everything I didn’t even know I wanted and a lot of what I knew I wanted! 😂 It was funny, swoony, action packed, and twisty! It had all kinds of call backs to different Spy movies that were so fun to pick up on!
I absolutely loved Lacee and Park! And I especially loved them together! The banter, the awkward moments, the tension, the levels 5-10 kisses? To die for!!! (Haha! Literally… 😉)
The plot twist was SO GOOD! It took the story to the next level for sure! I will say that I guessed the plot twist super early on in the story. I don’t know why.. It wasn’t obvious or anything. But, I’m not upset at all that I guessed it. If anything, it made me enjoy the reading experience MORE! It made me pick up on clues and foreshadowing that Kortney put in the story. As I read, I realized that Kortney is a G E N I U S!!!!! I mean, the thought and the planning she put into every aspect of the story… is just awesome! Little moments that you wouldn’t think anything of, you look back on like… WHAT? Or… Ohmygosh! It’s the best!
Oh, and that sweet ending was just the cherry on top of this whole delicious sundae!
To sum up… just read this! Trust me. It’s SO GOOD. It’s an amazing escape from reality that we all need sometimes. Don’t take it too seriously, jump in and enjoy the ride! You won’t regret it! 💗💗💗
Lacee ends up on the run with a spy in a story reminiscent of the entertaining Tom Cruise movie "Knight and Day".
Ok, I hate to be one of those reviewers, but I have to say I could totally see what was coming pretty much from the beginning (fwiw, it's not something in the Cruise movie). I was hoping there would still be something surprising at the end, but it stayed on its predicted track to the end.
What is there is still pretty amusing, though. It's fluffy fun like a good beach read, except since it's Christmas, I guess it's like a good cocoa & marshmallows by the fireside read!
*Romance level: passionate kisses, a little hint of spiciness, but nothing graphic
This entire book was a wild ride. There were so many twists and turns. The characters were so funny and unique. I'd say this is another winner from Kortney Keisel.
Are you ready for a fun Christmas read full of spies, family, surprises, sweet love story and lots of humor? I saw this book when it released in a multi-author series and wanted to read it last year, but I never got around to it. So when I saw it was available to request the audiobook to listen and leave feedback, I jumped at the chance. Many of my friends absolutely loved it. And I have loved the books I've read by this author.
Let's just say that I made a good listening choice for me! I loved it. I loved the mystery throughout the book and kept hoping it would be a certain way for these two characters! And I was right!!!
The other fun thing, right before I started listening to the audiobook, I was talking with a friend about Leavenworth, WA. And guess where these characters end up heading during part of the book??? Leavenworth, WA!!! It was really funny. And made me want to go back to visit this fun and quaint town!
I loved the spy aspects of this book and how everything was revealed and all the loose ends tied up! So much fun! I laughed and held my breath at some points. And I couldn't help but think about the movie Knight and Day!!! Hahahaha!!! It's a favorite movie in my household and this felt like that. Loved it all!
The family aspects were great. Especially Park's grandma! You're going to love her and all that she is involved in. The BEST!!!! Get ready for fun, swoon, laughter, surprises, twists and a Merry Christmas!!!
Content: Some mild moments of peril. Some mild innuendos. Some kisses but nothing further.
I received a copy from Dreamscape Select via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own. I had also previously purchased my own copy of the ebook.
This book was great. I went into it without reading the back cover or any reviews and I am so glad that I did. I couldn't put it down and read it in one day. (You don't know how rare it is that I read a physical book that quickly.) There were definably some surprises and twists in this story, some I was expecting and some not. I don't want to say too much more other than to give this book a try.
This was a wild ride! Definitely not your average holiday romcom, but in a good way.
Lacee and Park have a funny meet cute and end up spending the Christmas holiday together.
Park is undercover and trying to help his colleague, Sienna, who sends him a cryptic message that she’s in trouble. Or, is she? There’s a twist with Sienna that I honestly did not see coming.
This one has lots of action and witty banter. The romance is closed door, kisses only, however, there is desire and some interesting scenarios that these two get themselves into.
