But Nero will do everything he must to keep them both alive and safe, even if he has to draw on every one of his unstable alien powers to do so. Then Nero realizes Brynn isn't some helpless damsel in distress and there is more to her than meets the eye. Were they always meant to be together?

After enjoying a stint as a foster carer for cats, I now have seven felines to entertain me, along with two dogs and two horses. But only when I’m not distracted by my three gorgeous daughters, one of whom—a teenager *shriek*—is still living at home. As for my husband…he’s still waiting for retirement.

If you don't like cliffhangers then don't read this book. I didn't know it was a cliffhanger until I finished it which was the only disappointing thing about this book. Nero/Jack is an alien who along with 6 others is the last of his kind. They have an affinity for fresh water which gives them their powers, unfortunately when they use their powers the aliens who destroyed their people find them and try and kill them. Jack is on his was home from bartending at a nightclub when he saves Brynn from her abusive ex boyfriend. She helps him fight off the aliens and tries to keep him safe, in the process she discovers they are mates and she is gaining some of the powers Nero has. This is entertaining and well-written but I recommend reading the books consecutively if at all possible.

The Buoyant Bouncer

When Brinn is rescued from her abusive ex by a mysterious stranger she instinctively gives him her trust. But she has no idea that her savior Jack is a shape shifting alien that rejuvenates in water and actually named Nero. Nor does she realize that she will be pulled into a war between two different species on Earth! The story is full of action, romance, blood and gore. Not to mention a sexy alien and a cat with extraordinary perception. I really enjoyed the story and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Nero

Not just an alien romance, but an adventure in ice love and friendships. Definitely worth the read for anyone looking for an escape from the drearines of everyday life.
